About CrontoSign Swiss
CrontoSign Swiss is an App for e-banking access and transaction authentication.
How it works:
The login and transaction data that you enter in your e-banking are encoded in a colored mosaic. The mosaic is displayed in your e-banking and then photographed using the camera in your smartphone. The data contained in the mosaic and the associated authorization code will be decoded by this app on your phone and displayed for verification. Because your app is activated with a personal key, the mosaic on the screen can be decrypted only by your smartphone. Your smartphone does not require any Internet or mobile network connection.
If needed, CrontoSign Swiss can be installed on multiple smartphones and can also be used with all banks that support CrontoSign Swiss.

Does not work on rooted phones, so I cannot use it. I do not think this is a sensible limitation, as phones are never very safe anyway, with or without root. Other banks (e.g. Deutsche Bank) use a very similar app, but they do not have the root limitation. I have used their app successfully for a long time on my rooted phone. I would recommend to remove the root prohibition, because users with rooted phones are usually sophisticated enough to keep their phones safer than the average smartphone user.

Just like others said before, since I'm using a Nexus 5X, the image is upside down and it doesn't focus on the color code anymore. I also contacted support about that issue, just letting them know there app doesn't work on new Android devices and a link to a tech article how to fix this. But they were not very helpful, basically telling me I have no support contract. And maybe I'm too paranoid, but a security-related app which wasn't updated for almost 2 years raises some questions.

The image is upside down on my Nexus 5X. Moreover, it does not maintain focus. Please update the app to a newer camera api. Lastly, it does not let me choose the UI language if the system language is set to neither English nor German. Instead it just defaults to German.

When it works it's fine. Unfortunately on my Samsung A3 it frequently needs reactivating, requiring a call to my bank's support line (office hours only) and access to the original activation letter which is a problem if I'm not at home. Basically unreliable and thus unfit for purpose.
