The IPA Convention and Exhibition is one of the ways IPA goes about delivering its mission and it is Indonesia's premier event for the oil and gas industry. The IPA Convention and Exhibition aims to promote and attract investments into Indonesia. It showcases the latest technology and innovations, and supports the Indonesian government to identify and address major technical and non-technical challenges within the country's oil and gas industry.

The convention brings together the industry's key players, providing a forum to address the challenges they face and to work together to come up with the best possible solutions.

For the last 30 years, the Convention has drawn oil and gas leaders from around the world, attracting more than 2,000 participants and over 100 exhibitors yearly, as well as demonstrating its commitment to share new skills through presentations of over 100 technical papers per edition. To date, the IPA has published more than 2,500 technical articles and 90 books that represent a major source of information on the oil and gas industry.
