BackCountry Nav Topo Maps GPS for Android
The demo version of the app has got me out of trouble on a number of occasions. So I thought it would be rude not to buy the pro version. Great app all round.
Great app but how do you get rid of the straight line that connects the start and end points if they're different
Great detail in maps. Better than some paid versions
The trial version gave me ample time to learn how the app work, for 12 bucks its worth the money
A very good and useful aid.
Xlnt for hiking n navigation on woods trails
Free version is good
Great app! I use this on multiple devices.
I love this app and downloaded the paid version because I travel frequently around the country and using this has helped me locate and navigate all different types or terrain and learn new cities and wilderness. It's resources are incredible and fairly easy to use after just a few minutes. I really enjoy the expandability and the different layers. I also enjoy the customization and pins to locate different spots easily and that's why I upgraded and bought the paid version .
Great app for walking off into the great unknown and then getting back with ease. Works great on a Pixel XL. Plot waypoints, record tracks, download maps to storage for offline use. Responsive customer service too.
I used the demo for about a year. Being able to import my old tracks and waypoints and being able to export my trip files finally got me to purchase. Great app for remote hiking and hunting
Being an aging hunter, and the fact they keep changing the direction that "north" really is, this app helps me come out of the woods exactly where I went in. Great app and worth every cent!
Super awesome and easy to use with great features! Best GPS tracking program and its even on your phone!!
Nice to have and useful but the interface is unintuitive and hard to use.
Kml importing fails
All my tiles just show as blank.. Whenever I load an offline map it just shows blank tiles at any zoom level. Just doesn't work for me
Love this app I use it all the time very easy to mark your spot and find them again.
Great app ideal for finding backcountry tracks
Complete and easy to use. Lots of map sources available for free.
So far, Good
Terrible app don't waste your money
Wonderful app for a smsung tablet!
Great app for hiking, biking, ski, whatever
Tracked well, kept better satellite lock than my old Garmin Legend GPS. Will have to use it more to get a good feel for it. Lots of how to videos on YouTube
Waist of time demo! No thanks
This is an incredibly useful tool for backcountry navigation. It can be complicated and have a step learning curve, but the windows cue you with information until you check "I've learned this". Read the cues and then play around with it, I've found it very useful. Plan your trip when you have internet, plot some waypoints, then download the topo map tiles for offline use in the area. So long as you have a decent view of the sky, GPS satellite positioning will drop you onto the topo, regardless of microwave cell service. I just paid for the Pro version after realizing I use this app way too much not to promote the developers.
This is a great navigation app. I like that it comes with access to UK OS maps, supports offline maps, and that the NSW SIX maps are pre-configured. I upgraded to the paid version to get rid of the ads.
The best app ever. Ever since I bought, I have been sending so much harder in life. Thanks so much!!
Liked it so much, I bought the paid version!
Great app to use qtopo for hiking. Thanks.
Sure, it's not the simplest app to use but that's because it gives you so many good options. The instructions that open when you first navigate to each page help a lot. Great functionality once you figure it out!
Great app. Takes ahwhile to learn how to use, but still the best navigation app I've used.
Ugh so ugly. Start it with topo maps and all I see is ugly rectangles and a bigass ad. Uninstalled.
Used demo version for two years and finally upgraded to pro and none of my maps, routes, or waypoints will transfer. There is no online help on how to transfer. Why doesn't the developer include a way to transfer from demo to pro? This seems like a good help walkthrough to create.
Love it! Used the 21 day free trial during my field geology class in new Mexico and land navigation courses. Just need to download quadrants of map before hand so you can use then offline. Just in case you don't have signal to download maps in real time.
Downloaded the demo version this morning, to test it before we buy the paid version. Went on a hike with my wife in mt rainier nat park(mowich lake area). Recorded our track and it showed that we were a 1/4 mile off the trail, when we were in fact on the trail. Then at the end of the hike it indicated that we had traveled 4.1 miles, when i know we traveled 7.8 miles. Whats up crittermaps. Am i doing something wrong.
My favorite offline map program. Easily export kml and gpx, multiple maps to keep offline, private lands available for a fee. Great for hunting, fishing, hiking, or any mountain activity.
This is the best for off line activity, super accurate GPS, low battery usage also!
Perfect for off road riding when no cell service is available.

I really like this app. But it can't be used because it takes way too much effort to select areas for download. You have to zoom in and select small areas. Makes it unusable because you can't get all the maps you need.
