Sometimes the APP shows poor network even if there's full network... It's quite embarrassing when one doesn't hv much time to stand in queue. So it's yet to be 100% dependable. Otherwise everything is just fine. Very useful App.... Thanks to the developers..
Till the last update it was really very good!! After the update it's not working properly.. I cannot even book a season pass.. I'm literally switching it on and off for now like 10 times.. Kindly resolve as i think it's a good app and with a goodwill like yours u guys certainly don't want this to stop because of some issues. Expectations are high..
It has improved alot. However can you stop the use of GPS. Most of the times it doesnt work. At times of emergency specially when you dont have tine to stand in line it doesnt work. To top it all how will one know the distnace they are at? What if one wants to book ticket from home. Its freaking very annoying!!!!!
I please dilute the stringent gps accuracy requirements. Always show 'GPS signal low'. The app developers must understand we live in cities with tall buildings, multiple scatter sources where getting a perfect GPS signal is a miracle. Besides instead of your present 30 metres to 2 km limit if someone books from 60m to 2.5 km, what does the railway stand to loose. The present app has been developed with the view that the people of India are law breakers and ticketless travelers. This view needs change.
So many bugs, if you cant execute dont create an app to just showoff. Not able to recharge wallet at all, forbidden message most of the times. Recent(updated review): After latest updates, this app has improved tremendously. And almost works flawless, now my local train journeys are made simple. Changing stars from 1 to 4.
I lost my phone and having my pass in tha phone.when tried to request for handset Change it's keep saying tickets are active on that imei. I need to change because of that active ticket. M going the paper way again. No extension ticket available, service charge is applicable, can't change handset when required, location is poor. Waited almost 1 year for improvement in the app. It's enough. Paper ticket is lot better.
After installing and following the entire process, it didn't share d username and password stating 'Profile Error'. Also there is no facility to select year of birth directly and one needs to scroll month on month. It shows very poor skill of developer and careless side of government to provide easy access to passengers. Ek number bakwaas app. Uninstalling.
I have been using same mobile and same mobile number for past 2 years but every time I try to login app it says this IMEI IS ALREADY REGISTERED WITH DIFFERENT MOBILE NUMBER. At the crucial time when the app is desperately needed it fails. Ultimately i have to stand in queue to book tickets. Moreover we have to pay more to recharge wallet.
I like the season ticket (railway pass) option, No need to visit railway ticket window & stand in que for renewing, no need of print & we also get a reminder on validity expiry. (Reminder alerts are provided too early, it Should be provided on 3-4 days left to expiry)
While signing on, I had to scroll all the way back to my year of birth and month. So the older you are,worse your sign up will be. Well, I couldn't sign up. Coz the OTP didn't get sent to my mobile phone. Railways Information Systems, please don't do things just for the heck of it. Deleting the app. Will come back again in a year or so.
There should be option to pay for ticket through UPI without incurring a charge. Currently being forced to use MobiKwik or Paytm cause a extra charge of upto Rs 10 because of GST. Also since last update I cannot log into the app.
Lots of bugs...please fix those....often location is not deceted. This is the main prob of this app. And we can't add more than 5 routes in this app. I think it should be atleast 10. And the stations do not get synced often. These are the main issues I have faced while using this app. but it's a great step for being cashless India.
This app defeats the purpose of convenience in booking. App says that you have to stand far away from the track ... Within 5 km to book your ticket. Does not allow to book ticket even 50 meters away or outside a station. Hope the app will be updated to make it sensible to use
Why can't we book ticket between Airavali and Mumbai Central? Airoli is on Trans - harbour and Mumbai Central is on western line. And while launching new update why are you forcing people to update first. At least book them ticket first and then ask them to update app. Today I was in hurry and your app forced me to update new version. After updating when I tried to book ticket between Airoli to Mumbai Central , it gave message "mobile ticket not available for selected pair of stations". While recharging wallet you charge 2 rs on 100 rs. Boss thos is too costly as this is two percent and reminds me about real estate brokerage rate.
Pathetic!! DOB has to be manually searched, such a waste of time. After going through the strenuous excercise, OTP takes another half a day , by then the app is deleted. Please fix these bugs then maybe you could promote for paperless ticket.
Not consistent.. Fails very often I booked a season ticket, the money got deducted from my paytm account but the ticket was not booked as suddenly it logged me off. Checked in ticket booking history and nothing there. Would request for a refund here as I've been charged for a ticket that has not even been issued. Waiting since many months now for this app to work flawlessly. Long way to go for the app to be decent.
1)App have serious geo location detection problem. 2) Smart card get 5% of recharge amount as bonus while recharging ATVM smart card. And while doing recharge of UTS account people have to pay 1.8 %+GST extra. Why so much extra charges. To encourage people to use UTS railway should start giving bonus amount in UTS recharge also.
I have few issues, 1. Let there be an option to register again using the number that was surrendered previously. 2. In quick booking option, I'm not able to save different kind of journey, like one as single and another as return. It now follows whatever it's saved in change journey details. Either all my journey is single or return. I don't need it like that.
This is really good app for Mumbai's lifestyle. But when we try to book ticket it asks you to stand 7.678 mtrs away from station. It might be anything. But people who use this app really don't have so much time to measure and stand there. So it takes so much time to book ticket. One more thing is we're supporting paperless transactions by using this app, we're supporting 'Go Digital' then why we've to pay extra for this. Already we're paying tickets including all taxes. If govt. cannot provide online facilities free of cost, without surcharge, then what is a use of Go digital campaign.
Extra charges!!! Looks like punishment!!!!! If u want digital India, u need to give benefits to those who take step towards it... As it is u will save on manpower n other fixed costs required to deploy employees for ticket counters. There r sure savings, pls pass on the benefit to consumers instead of reaping it for short terms.
Railway has gone mad... if u buy atvm card u will get 5% bonus but if u recharge this uts u have to pay convenience charge plus service tax.. !! Dont u get that if more ppl will use this app then it will save ur time only at ticket window
Such a worst application.. First time I have loaded RS 100 and training to book mmts tickets at the railway station .it'unable to book the tickets.Later I verified the balance it's 0 now. I have loaded the balance of RS 100 and still unable book the tickets.IRCTC is cheating.. Pls don't use this app. I will file a case in consumer court.
Both paper and paperless ticket is not working. Waste of money. With paper ticket getting following error "you should be 20 metre away from track/platform for booking paperless ticket. Why do you need such restriction? I m facing difficulty to book paperless ticket because of this restriction. I will be near platform if I try to book local train (UTS) ticket, once I get down from the express. In this case, to book the ticket asking me to go out the station is very unfair. In paperless ticket, the machine is not printing the ticket. In the first attempt machine throws "something went wrong" message. In the subsequent attempts throws "ticket already printed" message.And please don't post the irrelevant reply stating the issue is fixed
Issues I faced: 1. Paperless ticket option not available. Have to waste time trying to get ticket printed while my train was already on the platform. 2. Reserved a ticket on my way to railway station only to find that the ATVM machine was out of order. Had to buy another ticket. 3. Payment process is one of the worst I have experienced. No UPI?
Very slow. It could be better if we are able to take tickets for long distance train also. At least upto pune and Nasik. One can not buy ticket for local if he is coming from out station unless he goes 12mtr away from the track.
This app won't even allow me to sign up with my phone number. Keeps saying 'Session Error'. After it's mood allows you to sign up, it doesn't detect GPS, of the several attempts that I made booking a ticket, this app allowed me to book the ticket once. Absolutely undependable, going the IRCTC way.
This restrictive mentality does not allow full use of app. Why does railway need to stick with GPS and cause trouble to passengers in booking the ticket. Quite often you miss the train as ATVM will not be working and line at window is looking. I feel idea was to show that we are doing something but do only half heartdly.
Pl allow to use mobile connectivity; currently the app searches for Wifi and works properly only when Wifi is available. Why does app need Google location service? Why do I hv to be within a certain radius of a station? Why does your app feel that connectivity is low when all types of news trading content heavy apps work just fine? Even if a person buys ticket standing in the platform what's the harm?? so long as he is not traveling ticketless! Please improve at the earliest, otherwise you will be negating benefits of paperless digital society!!!!
GPS Tracking sucks!!! Cannot get fix in cellphone 25-30 meter error there so cannot book online..... Always need to do the online then print it through ATVM Machine..... Plz Do sum improvement on GPS position Tracking.... Ty
GPS validation should be stopped. I have booked tickets on multiple occasions. App worked really well when one is away from railway station. But most of us remember this app when we see long queue for tickets on platform. Unfortunately this app does not allow to book tickets if one is standing close to railway platform. Please remove GPS positioning completly and allow ticket booking from anywhere. 9 out of 10 review are complaining about GPS anyway.

Earlier comments: I was very much interested to book ticket thro app and I booked the first ticket today on 04 july 15. The following things should be improved. 1. GPS strength. 2. Should allow to book even we are at stations and far off. 3. Should send SMS after booking. 4. Should allow to enter mobile number of another person if the person booking the ticket is not travelling. 5. Should allow to recharge at App itself. Please do these improvements immediately.
I booked tickets from Fka to Fzr on 5 Dec.2017.i entered my mob. No. And booking id.but ATVM did not dispense my ticket.when I again repeated this step it displayed ticket already printed.no helpine number is there.railway staff hv no clue about this.no idea money deducted just time waste
GPS check is very poor, won't allow booking even from 20 mts away from platform. If people want to cheat, they wouldn't buy tickets at all, which happens. Why discourage people from using online booking facility! Secondly, online booking shouldn't be charged extra with, with service charge. Just because you want to recover the cost of IT implementation. Ever thought about cost savings because of online booking???
Extremely useful app.. It has saved my ample of time which I would have wasted waiting in queue for ticket booking. There are certain flaws too. Sometimes the app crashes and doesn't allow you to proceed further which I feel is very irritating.
This app is environmentally friendly and I use it for this reason only. However it needs lot many improvements. Many a time error in sync with stations. Also it doesn't allow you booking unless you are at a specific distance from station. That's really weird.
Not able to find Bangalore station. I wonder what would be the reason. All the government apps are like only. Waste of time. Moreover we have to print the ticket. Instead of that we can buy counter ticket itself. It is not at all paper less ticket.
I would give 5 stars if the GPS criteria is dropped. My apartment is near station and I could never use the "book and travel" option because of the GPS criteria. Always gives an error to stand 50 metres away from railway tracks. I have to use "book and print" option which isn't exactly feasible
Sometimes the app doesn't work properly in some areas. I can't cut monthly tickets between some route like ballyghat to ballygunge station. Sometimes payments also get stuck. Rather than all these problems the app works fine. Please try to solve the above mentioned problems.
How to share ticket if two persons needs to get down in different stops In this case, we might end up getting caught saying we travelled without tickets. It would be nice if some features added for this. Thank u

1. You can pay via Cards or Wallets. The option exists once you choose any one wallet as the mediator. RWALLET is NOT necessary. 2. Edit: They have corrected the GPS to work beautifully. Amazing response after I raised a complaint. 3. Book a ticket for yourself or someone else from mobile, and take a print of it at the station's ATVM. 4. Book a season ticket! Show on mobile to TC and feel supercool! 5. Teach mom, dad, and other adults to never stand in queue again!
