This app is terrible for any Android user! Why make an app that only Apple users can use? Why leave out so many paying customers? I received my cricut as a gift but will NOT be spending any money on cricut items until I (Android user) can upload my own images like Apple users.

I'm trying to be understanding because this is still in beta. I'm annoyed that it's not in beta for Apple but is still for android. I wish the app was more like the computer set-up. You can't upload photos or open certain projects on the app like you can on the computer. We only have a desktop and tablets at home and sadly the desktop is not in the craft room. It would be amazing if the app would work as well as the computer software. Maybe in the future?

D70%
by D####:

Still can't use print then cut and unless you have a tablet or larger phone with fine tip stylus some features are hard to use. This is a basic form of the actual program, good for spontaneous ideas and edits but not good for actual application in substitution of on a computer. Still in beta, I feel once the program is out of beta many more features will be available. So glad there's finally an android version!

I was so excited to receive my cricut for christmas and couldn't wait to get started doing projects! Then tonight as I couldn't figure out how to upload my images I read all of these reviews and am now very disappointed. I guess the 200 dollars in extras I was about to spend I will hold onto since all I can use on my android are cheap clip art looking pictures. Very disappointed and seriously thinking about returning my cricut because at this point it is a complete waste of money and space to me.

I absolutely hate this app just talked to someone from Cricut and they told me "Cricut design space Android app is still in Beta version. Due to which it gets closed automatically some times" what the deal. I just wanted to use my tablet that's why I bought the very expensive Cricut Maker. So very unhappy. So unless you have an iPad this app will not work for you.

M70%
by M####:

This app is absolutely terrible on the Android and perfect for Apple devices. The most basic things aren't even up to par, like simply moving and sizing images. A project cannot be completed from start to finish on an Android device because of how terrible this app is not to mention it closes out randomly.

I understand that this is a Beta version, but I am unable to use any fonts (free or purchased) unless using in an established project with a preset phrase. I am also unable to upload images. This is very frustrating. Samsung Galaxy S7 edge and Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 9.7 *Also, I feel like it's a waste of the free trial since I mostly like to write /cut names and quotes. I'm limited to 1 standard font...the font thing is my real hangup here. *

I actually love this idea, and it does work. However, I very much dislike that I cannot upload art from my android tablet or that it apparently doesn't see any of my tablets system fonts. If I want to cut out words, it looks like I have to purchase cricut fonts. Will this ever change for us?

D70%
by D####:

We android users are treated like second class citizens. I bought the Maker to be able to make my own designs. It said compatable with Android. LIE! You can not transport your images from android drvices, only Apple devices. This machine is useless to me and is going back to the store!

D70%
by D####:

So disappointed that I am considering taking my $400 purchase back! The software doesn't work with Chromebook and has such limited features on my Samsung S8+ that it isn't with messing with. Totally not what I was expecting!

C70%
by C####:

I am a brand new Cricut user. I watched videos of how to set up my machine. The people making the videos were clearly not using the Android app! My very first project was screwed up because it didn't recognize that the first cut had been made. The directions were also unclear, at best. Please fix this app, Cricut. I want to love this machine!!

When will the update in Design Space for Android will happen. I would like to upload my images , photos and make rhinestone templates. At times when I'm working on a project, the system crashes and the project is lost. Because I really don't have much faith in the Android operating system for Design Space , I save my projects step by step then I go back and delete the earlier steps. Faithful family member trying to hold on.

Y70%
by Y####:

The entire point of purchasing this machine and downloading the app was so that I can upload my own images and create on-location for my clients. If I can't upload images and I'm stuck with the basic cartoonish images available, then this purchase was pointless. I don't understand why this isn't the first issue that was fixed BEFORE releasing this app. Why else even use it?? I essentially own an expensive clipart cutter at this point. Will change rating when I can do everything an iPhone user can.

D70%
by D####:

It's ok so far, but I only have my android tablet and should be able to upload my own designs which I can't do yet. All tutorials for the air explore 2 are apparently not applicable for my tablet usage. Should have been all set up beforehand, not everyone has the same computer. I am having real problems with tutorials that don't work for my computer.

D70%
by D####:

The app is decent; however, it lacks a lot of features. I don't like that I can't access the features I need on my tablet or phone. Seeing as I don't have a desktop or laptop, I'm very limited on what I can do. I hear the iPhone app has all the features. Why not Android? Did we do something time upset you? Please release an update soon...

D70%
by D####:

Frustrating that if using a system font from your computer you can't use it on the app. Wish you could upload images through the app also. Otherwise it works pretty well

E70%
by E####:

This is a truly awful app. I can't open over half of my projects and I can't upload a picture. In fact most of the features that swayed me to get a Cricut, vs a competitor don't work on this app. Considering the cost of the machine and supplies, I cannot fathom buying an apple product JUST to have a functional app. There is no way this app should be THIS far behind the iOS version. What a severe disappointment.

M70%
by M####:

You can't upload anything from this app. You can only see stuff you have already uploaded. Sort of defeats the purpose of having a mobile app. What I want in a mobile app is to upload images to get ready to use them when I'm back at my machine.

D70%
by D####:

Until the app is made more Android friendly I have an expensive paper weight. I've watched numerous YouTube tutorials trying to learn the basics as I'm new to Cricut and couldn't figure out why their options wasn't available to me and it took reading the reviews here to figure it out.

D70%
by D####:

I read a couple reviews that said they couldn't open projects they had saved on their computer. This can be done from the home screen by selecting "my projects" from the project categories. If you are using a non Design Space font on the computer you would need to weld the text to make it able to load in the app. I still prefer to design from a computer though, I'm not a fan of touch interfaces.

D70%
by D####:

Only have an Android phone and tablet so I'm really missing out. Would love to be able to do what ios can. The whole reason we bought it was to be able to make our own creations with the kids/grandkids. So far has been an expensive dust collector. And it keeps force closing when I try to open a saved project.

R70%
by R####:

Disappointed that this app is so basic. I can't even upload images via the app. I bought a cricut explore air 2 partly due to the ease of wireless use, yet to do most of what I want to do with my machine, I still have to remain plugged in to my desktop.

C70%
by C####:

I love the idea of this app and want to support and push development of the android application. I find that it quite sad in my opinion that they have been finished with the ios app for some time but have neglected to finish the Android app. I love my cricut and I hope they will finish the Android app sooner. When it is complete I will be updating my rating for sure.

D70%
by D####:

The fact that I am limited to using cricut clip art is upsetting. When we (android users) get an upload icon like apple users then my rating will definitely go up!

D70%
by D####:

This is ridiculous that Apple users have a working app and Android dosnt. Last month I cancelled my subscription and I am really thinking about just giving up on cricut all together. There are other machines that are out to make customers happy and not just to particular users.

D70%
by D####:

Cricut needs to fix the issue with Android, so we can use our own images! What a scam! Spend $300 and can't even use it for it's main purpose! Seriously considering returning it.

X70%
by X####:

Again, pointess if I have to go find a PC to upload images I create on my phone! I no longer use a PC for anything but the cricut. Time to find a new cutting product. Support your customers and thier needs for complete portability!!! Many android users who are far more savvy than apple and insist on 100% usable products!!! Sending back my Maker!

D70%
by D####:

I received the cricut from my mother in law thinking I could run it off of my phone since I am busy busy busy. Wanted to make lots of neat things with my two sons art masterpieces (ages 5 and 3) for grandparents and such..... this program does not allow you to upload images. Very VERY disappointing. You have to buy so much into this since it does not allow any free hand. What a waste. Since this is the beta version I would happily change my rating once this is up to par with the ios /pc version....

D70%
by D####:

All the money I spend on cricut products is a waste when I can't use them the way I want to. This app completely sucks when it comes to being convient. Please fix!

D70%
by D####:

I hate that it keeps crashing. Current project dissappears. When browsing for images, it keeps bringing you back to the top. Not liking my design experience.

D70%
by D####:

You can't upload your own images, but my daughter can on her iPhone. I have to email her the SVGs and then she has to download them to her phone, then upload them to DS for me to even try. Then fonts..... No way to add new fonts. My free trial didn't last the entire time it was supposed to either for me to even test it. On top of that it kept crashing more and more the closer to Christmas we got. Horrible.

D70%
by D####:

If I could give this 0 stars I would. I am "infant-new" to Cricut. The only thing I have done with my Cricut is the initial enjoy project that "teaches" you how to use the machine and offers minor canvas experience. As a newbie I can honestly say I STRONGLY DISLIKE this app. Had I use/explored this app before my PC experience, I would return my Cricut, and it was a Christmas gift (I haven't ever returned a Christmas gift but thanks to this app, it would have been a first). This app is far from enjoyable and it's the greatest at not being used friendly. I haven't downloaded or used this app on my Husband's iPhone, iPad or our Mac but I will definitely do so in order to compare the two experiences. But as for this app alone this is horrible, upsetting, frustrating and far from what I have been promised and the least of what I expected. I look forward to improvements soon as this app is currently severely disappointing. I am 100% sure I am not alone with this level of disappointment. The flexibility of a usable app would yield happier "Android Cricut-teers" and greater profit for Cricut. Technology is what makes a difference when it comes to flexibility, affordability, and production . Please work on this, and soon. Thank you!

It's a little more complicated than I'd like BUT there's so many helpful videos and tutorials to help. U need to have time to dedicate to learn in the beginning.

Why is it that the IOS app has Full design space capabilities and the Android app is still in beta form with no ability to upload images. PLEASE UPDATE THIS APP! I am unable to use my machine at it's full potential because I Do not have a computer with Wi-Fi. Pleas update fo4 us awesome android users.

Can't even upload image? When you get this app working for Android users then I'll re-rate. So many users wanting this to work this is my first negative about this product. App sucks!!

V70%
by V####:

Really More like 4.5... I find it really helpful. It is a work in progress But there is a definite advantage to being able to pull up my projects anywhere. It makes it so much easier to show clients what is possible. I wish I could use the fonts that I download onto my computer and there are a few other things that I wish worked better but most of it works great and I'm thrilled that they have an android version.

Love the idea of easier mobile use, hate the I can't upload or use print to cut. Also would like to be able to move image cuts on the mat to other mats

V70%

Hi, is there is there a way to search for an single image in the app? The app allows me to search projects, categories, cartridges but not one image like tree or pumpkin. It works great on the computer. I have a Samsung NOTE 8 if you need to know what phone I'm using with the app. Thank you for your hard work. You are making my crafting life so much easier.

X70%
by X####:

It will not load I download it then Everytime I open it it stops working I have downloaded it and uninstalled it many times it bad when u buy a $200 tool and the program sucks now I'm stuck with this and can't use it what a deal

I don't understand why this is still in Beta for Android but works well for Apple products. This is extremely annoying. The app doesn't even function enough to start/complete a project.
