About Crestron AirMedia

With AirMedia™ anyone can walk into a room and wirelessly present PowerPoint®, Excel®, Word and PDF documents, as well as photos, on the room display from their Android device. Open the document in AirMedia and it is shared on the room display. Deliver dynamic and interactive presentations by simply paging through as you would any other application. There's no more being tied to a laptop or podium. You can even share your apps using the "Shot&Show" feature. Simply take a screen shot and AirMedia will show it. Does not work with portable powerpoint on browser. I have to download it to my device anytime I make changes online and project it through a document option. (Trying to project a powerpoint on Samsung tab A. Logged on to onedrive on airmedia's browser, it projects everything but the slides.) Also, unrelated question: why don't you have airmedia installer for linux?

U70%
by U####:

Useful now that you can manually add the Airmedia's IP address. Previous version didn't support this so it was useless unless your Airmedia and WiFi were on the same subnet and the review scores probably reflect that. I'd prefer to see more of a chromecast or indeed miracast style support where I can mirror the phone's display rather than just pick from a choice of document, picture or web page as the material to display but at least covers those basics.

K70%
by K####:

I was able to connect via manual IP address, but beyond that nothing works. I was unable to display a single image before it had crashed 4 times on me and I gave up.

I've witness this app working on some Android phones and on some Iphones. Only get a black screen with LG K7 and Apple I5s. App needs to be updated to work on all phones. No way to pull up menu on some phones. Search screen locks when populated. Good app when it works.

Y70%
by Y####:

iOS version kept up to date. Android version? No development for almost two years! Ridiculous. Google the developer's email address and you will see that he is the Director of Software Products for 17 years. Guess what phone he has...

A70%
by A####:

You can only use this if and only if your on the same subnet. Most companies segregate their public nodes from their private ones as a security precaution. You need to add the availability to add devices with a specific IP address and or host name.

Y70%
by Y####:

Developers should consider seeing how corporate networks are made before developing an app for one. Almost all networks will have wireless and wired on separate subnets. This app will not work if the android device and the airmedia device are on separate subnets.

Y70%
by Y####:

I am staring at a airmedia display in my office, and thought that this app might let me display my phone on the screen. but, it did... nothing. Kind of frustrating, I assume the dev had something in mind when they released this. Scratching my head, what could it have been?

U70%
by U####:

You have to be on the same subnet as the Air Media appliance. Why? STUPID design.

Y70%
by Y####:

While in the app, long hold the back button. You will then see the menu option. You can then manually put in the ip address and code.

Y70%

X70%

Unless your tablet is on the SAME SUBNET, you will NOT be able to connect. Why on earth doesn't the Android version have a direct IP connect option like the iOS version?!?! #fail

O70%
by O####:

If only this supported casting the whole phone screen rather than the app taking control of contents

W70%
by W####:

Only Pictures should have ordered newest pictures first. Now you have to scroll all the way down.

I have a note 4 and so does a co-worker. His note 4 has a menu button where i have a recent apps button. Works for him complete waste of time for me

B70%

This app is absolutely terrible. It does not work on my phone or my laptop. I HATE this app and most definitely will not recommend anyone to get this app. Sincerely a livid Bethune-Cookman university student.

Q70%

This app is completely broken on Android. Works on PC, OSX, and iOS but not Android. Get your s#!÷ together Creston. We don't spend well over a $1000 for this system not to work.

It doesn't show the menu on note 5.

X70%

Useless without being able to enter the URL or IP. We are not opening a ton of ports just for discovery

X70%

Cannot find out TV from my phone, right when my laptop could.

X70%

Never been updated to work with modern Android. Crestron as a company is far to old fashioned to have an actual working, maintained "app" lol

M70%

Would be nice to be able to push a Wed browser

X70%

Terrible design. I can't input the ip stress so the app is rendered useless.

No screen mirroring and a hidden menu button on my S5.

Y70%
by Y####:

Does not work.

A70%

For devices that don't have a physical menu button. Hold the recent apps button for a few seconds and that will send menu. Then you can enter ip address of the air media. This worked on my Note 4.

X70%
by X####:

How this passed muster for release is beyond me. Looks like something built for Android 2.1 (including a legacy menu button?!) and some shocking UI choices. Save yourself the physical pain of using this application and just use the desktop app.

X70%
by X####:

Didn't find anything on the network, even when supplied with an ip address. Uninstalled.
