WI-care

Description
WI-care is an android application used to detect the accidents of cars, bikes, motorbikes and notify the location info to emergency contacts of the victim if he/she is unresponsive. This application works jointly with Broadcom’s BLE powered WICED sense kit, the application running on the driver/rider smartphone and WICED sense kit are connected over BLE.

Operation:
WICED sense kit is comprises of sensors like temperature and humidity, accelerometer, gyroscope, etc. which is mounted on the vehicles and connected to WI-care android application running on the smartphone of rider/driver. The device instantaneously measures the accelerometer data and gyroscope data when the vehicle is in motion and reports to WI-care android application.
The android application uses these data for its accident detection algorithm to decide whether accident happened or not. If accident happened then, it starts the countdown of 30secs. If rider/driver is unable to stop the countdown the accident location info will be notified to the emergency contacts set by the user.
