Crackle - Free Movies & TV for Android
Was working just fine on my Nvidia Shield Android TV until the latest update on the Shield. Now when I try to open the Crackle app it just crashes instantly. Uninstalled the app and reinstalled in hopes that would help, but still crashes. Also I am not fond of the auto playing content when the app starts up.
Crashes!! Should change there name to crashkle. Its been weeks like this on shield tv
Will not open on Nexus Player. Autoplay when you open the app is HORRIBLE. UI is Terrible
Does not work on NVIDIA Shield Pro. App continues to fail. First is "open app again", second time "close app". This happens everytime.
Broken on Nvidia Shield TV and Amazon Fire TV 2. Crashes on start up.
This app will not open on the Google Nexus player. Hasn't for quite a while now. One Star until fixed.
This stopped working on Nvidia Shield TV and support was unhelpful.
This app hasn't worked in months (on the Nexus player). Please fix.
Can't open on my Nexus Player now. Used to Work Great, now it has just been crashing for about a mont. Please fix this now
Can't open any more on Nexus Player. I guess is due Android 7 update. Please fix!!!
No longer works, it wont open. Fix it fix it fix it fix it fix it!!!!!
The app crashes once loaded and it always asks me to activate my device when it's been activated!!!!
As Danny Devito would say... "It's TRAESH!" Seriously though. this app is extremely difficult to navigate on a TV. I used this app on a Nexus player and it was pretty weird to use and now has completely stopped working. Any show i select causes it to become non responsive. It shows that it is playing the movie on the "trending" apps bar but no picture or sound ever plays. a shame because there a several shows and movies i would enjoy but cannot watch because of this terrible app.
Not working, crashes on opening.
This app should be a case study in poor user experiences. A university ethics review board wouldn't approve this app for use on live subjects. 1: Trying to watch a second video in a session will cause it to play with voices pitch shifted, like a cassette walkman with low batteries. 2: Episode list is backwards, so if you want to watch a series in order, you need to manually navigate to the next episode (it will auto-play the previous one). 3: Every time you want to select a new episode, you apparently have to start from the main menu, find your show, find your season, then pick your episode 4: Auto plays a show I don't want to see every time it loads
Will no longer play any videos on my Sony XBR55X810C Android TV.
Very Annoying behavior, Just picks a show and starts playing it. Doesn't ask , doesn't let you look around and find a show you are interested in just starts play what it wants you to watch. Uninstall
The app crashes once loaded and it always asks me to activate my device when it's been activated!!!!
Force Crashes on Android 6.0 on Nexus Players. Worked fine on Lollipop 5.1.1. Fix/update for Android 6.0 and will update my review.
Please update for Android 6.0 compatibility with Android TV ASAP.
Crackle App always crashes on my Nexus Player and not able to activate it.
The app keeps auto starting in the middle of other programs on different inputs. If this happens during a key play during football season I'm going to be fuming!!! It's happened 4 times in the last 3 hours. Stop it!!! Fix it!!!
Great selection of movies, but the app keeps forgetting where it stopped after ad break. Keeps restarting the movie over and over, and we have to manually fast forward it to the moment it was before ad break. Major inconvenience, please fix it so that we could enjoy movies we love for free!
the app keeps opening itself even if I'm watching something else. It needs to stop.
I was watching Jackie Chan's The Myth and not only were there a few times where the video just stopped playing and returned to the home screen (maybe an app crash? I don't know), but when I went back to resume the movie it would start from 0:00. Finally we get near what we think is the end of the movie and it turns out there is only 1 hour 36 minutes for the movie when the movie is 2 hours long. While this is one experience I haven't seen any recommendations from the crackle app in the home screen recommendation queue thus I don't know if this even integrates with the recommendations list and for the in app watch list you can't view a comprehensive list of videos to watch on the main Android TV screen so you could have a generated recommendation list and a user's queue to content to watch that is a combination of content from all services like the Google TV had the PrimeTime app queue. Also voice searches for content I know that are in Crackle do not appear in the Voice search playable options for Android TV. Not really taking advantage of the platform with this version of the app that launched. Not sure if the stability is related to the app or the platform.

I tried this one out, as I'm always looking for a new movie service. Turns out that it didn't work for me. The problem? Once you sign up, they keep spamming you with email. Over and over. You can't unsubscribe, even though you go through the motions. So now I get Crackle SPAM every day and it's horrible. On that alone, I recommend that NO ONE get this app.

Would love to tell people I love this app, since it's a service I use quite often on several devices. However it crashes upon startup after the nougat update on the Nexus Player. I can't rate more than a 1 star until it's fixed.
