What are users saying about MyEPark

X70%
by X####:

App is very slow and I've encountered multiple glitches. Also, not sure why a minimum $25 account balance is required. Would prefer if it would just access my credit card saved to the Play Store and make a payment as required.

Z70%
by Z####:

Bad system. My wife and I share cars but the system will not allow for plate numbers (or phone number) to have more than one user. Someone actually paid someone to develop this app. Tax dollars at work

K70%
by K####:

What good is an app that takes me 20 minutes to park??? I'm so late now because this hunk of junk has been loading, forever, after I tried to force stop, and start again. Totally worse than having to remember quarters. Now I have $50 in prepaid parking that I can't even use.

J70%
by J####:

What kind of garbage app is this? How does this app not work correctly. How does it not even recognize or allow entering capital letters? If you're going to force payments this way at least make a system that works

Z70%
by Z####:

how many more bad reviews are you guys waiting for until you realize this app is really bad and needs improvements? have a system to save my credit card and plate number so I can simply enter location number and pay. using the machine in -20° is easier than using this app. take a look at pay-by-phone and learn something or simply hire a UX designer.

Z70%
by Z####:

This app has a horrible user interface. It does not let you set a time to park so often you are overpaying obscene amounts. It doesn't tell you if the parking is free it simply assumes you want to park the next morning at 6am for two hours like a logical person would. Please throw this app into a bottomless pit and make a usable one...

Z70%
by Z####:

Garbage app. Rather than automatically bill a linked credit card, you have to top up. There is a "low balance notification", but by default it is set to off. Why does this matter? Because I just came out to my car to find out that I ran out of credit 5 minutes after parking, according to the $50 parking ticket I received.

Z70%
by Z####:

Worst app ever. Not sure who created this, but it is awful. Forgets your passwords, won't let you pay for parking. Takes your money, then you can't use your account after. Honestly is a zero out of 5.

F70%
by F####:

Literally the worst app I have ever used. Sat in a parking lot for 15 minutes wading through unintuitive menus and having it fail or spit out an error or crash. Once I did get it to work I ended up with $25 in account credit I couldn't get to work AND a parking ticket because I needed to go. If I could rate this zero stars I would.

Y70%
by Y####:

Archaic design and it takes the maximum amount it can for the session. Please make different rates selectable.

H70%
by H####:

I keep getting parking tickets when I use this terrible app. What a piece of garbage. Save yourself money and never use this.

W70%
by W####:

DO NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES DOWNLOAD THIS APP. Unless you have a burning desire to literally give money away to the city and receive nothing in return.

S70%
by S####:

Garbage, tried 15 differnt passwords each one longer and more complex every time it rejected my password. TYPICAL city of Edmonton half assed garbage!!

U70%
by U####:

This thing seems like a wrapper for the website. You also can't pay directly by credit card and you have to put money into a fund first...

Z70%
by Z####:

Horrible app I ever seen!

Z70%
by Z####:

Slow, hardly works, as expected from the city of Edmonton

Z70%
by Z####:

App doesnt work!!!

Z70%
by Z####:

Won't accept my phone number even though it says it accepted the number. . It took my money from my credit card but i have no way to use it. Tried to reset the app. Then it says my password is incorrect. Wheni try and reset the password it say I can't use that password because it already exists so the app is saying i have both the correct and incorrect password at the same time.

H70%
by H####:

Used the similar parking app in Calgary and it worked great. Why you are not able to copy that app is a mystery wrapped in incompetence. Set up an account, deposited money and tried to use app it would not let me login. Time to get my money back from the account.

D70%
by D####:

I set up the ePark account on my computer which was quick and easy. Used the app to START (zone#) and END (zone#) a parking session then discovered sms text was a lot easier. Don't forget to END the parking session. I use the ePark pay machine with coins when I stop at a site for 10-20 mins. Every new product takes time to develop.

D70%
by D####:

This app took my $25 and has never once worked. It always says my phone number is invalid. I want my money back but there is not contact info to contact anyone from this app.

D70%
by D####:

Frustrating to use, have to keep a minimum of $25.. which makes no sense

K70%
by K####:

I rarely give bad reviews but this app is done poorly. Especially in comparison to "PaybyPhone". Why does it require a minimum balance of $25? Why can't it just keep the credit card number on file? Interface is clunky and requires a phone number as well for some reason.

U70%
by U####:

Inexplicably doesn't work in Calgary, even though it's apparently made by Calgary parking authority. Took forever to setup and figure out and you can't pay as you go, you have to deposit a bunch of money and then use it up I guess.

D70%
by D####:

Did you know that you can no longer pay for portions of an hour with these new parking machines? Yes, you have to pay for a minimum of one hour unless you get the APP even if you need to park for 10 minutes. If you use the APP you pay for the time used, but then there is a $1 processing fee each time. I called 311 in Edmonton and asked why you have to pay for a full hour and they had no answer.

D70%
by D####:

Just downloaded and configured the app with my info and loaded funds via credit card. Haven't used it yet to pay for actual parking - the performance and reliability remains to be seen. Off the bat, some quick fixes - like changing 'Calgary' to Edmonton, saving credit card details or providing auto-load option, fixing auto-sign in issues - should be pretty standard. The app deserves at least just those. Yes the look and feel of the app is pretty lame, but if it works then I could live with that.

O70%
by O####:

The app likes to forget the setting where it remembers your username and password. It also likes to tell you that your username and password are incorrect. Attempting to reset the password causes email to be sent so far in the future it's pointless. Clicking on the links then generates an error that the link has expired. This is another case of idiots writing software that have no business being employed.

O70%
by O####:

Can't login with current password , takes 10 minutes to receive reset email. Takes another 10 minutes for the new password be active. Must deposit minimum of $25 of credit into account. It's so frustrating!

Q70%
by Q####:

The ability to extend a parking session is a much needed addition to the app. Direct billing to a credit or debit card with out topping up your account funds would be a plus. Having money hanging in limbo in your epark account is not for everyone.

D70%
by D####:

Not the easiest app to navigate through, I can't imagine how the older generation feels. Hate the fact that there needs to be dollars in an account. I don't find myself parking on the street that much and would be happier if it was linked to a credit card so I could be charged on a per use basis.

D70%
by D####:

I waited 2 weeks for a call back from 311 about being unable to add funds. Then, if you have 2 people driving the same car, you are unable to register the plates to more than one user so I couldn't use the dumb app to pay anyway. When my hubby used it, it worked fine.

D70%
by D####:

The app is not much to get excited about from a technical standpoint, but it's very useful from a practical point of view. Just to be able to pay for parking without getting out of your vehicle, locating a pay machine and playing with its clunky interface, especially in winter, is worth having the app. It has worked fine for me and prepaying, while not great, has not been a huge issue.

D70%
by D####:

Only payment option is to have prepaid funds. The website allows for one time payments. The app should also have this option too. The PaybyPhone is a much better app, if only you could use this app for the Edmonton ePark.

X70%
by X####:

Street payment wins even at -20C. This parking app has a brutal user experience. Setup, payment... Everything. It is painful to punch my plate into a street terminal but I would rather do that then use this app.

G70%
by G####:

The app doesn't look great but it works nicely. Tells you how much time is left on your parking. Big improvement over meters or paying at the epark kiosk.

D70%
by D####:

Won't accept my phone number even though it says it accepted the number. . It took my money from my credit card but i have no way to use it. Tried to reset the app. Then it says my password is incorrect. C70%

Poor design, clunky interface, and multiple cases of it freezing up or crashing. This is one of the crappiest applications I've ever used. The developers should be ashamed of themselves, and the City of Edmonton should find a better solution.

D70%
by D####:

The brutal use interface isn't the worst part of this app. There is a minimum $25 recharge. For me, this is 10 years of street parking. No warning about the $25 minimum before the painful set-up. Let me know when the app allows bill-to-credit card or in-app purchase for the parking I actually use.

U70%
by U####:

Ridiculous. This app is atrocious. If I park somewhere for 15 minutes and then leave, it makes me pay for a whole hour. It also charges me a dollar for each transaction. You're better off carrying change, as backward as that seems. Don't even get me started on the interface. I think a DOS UI would be easier to use. It appears this one was designed to be used on an old school flip phone. Also, you have to pre-pay (read: can't use it if you just parked and downloaded it for the first time) before using.

U70%
by U####:

I downloaded the 1.4 star app, it should get :O stars. A monkey could have made a better app, garbage uninstall. Scrap it, nobody will use it. Do something like PayByPhone. The City of NoBrains.
