AIRMEGA for Android
This is the type of app I expect from a top of the line purifier! It compliments the modern look and technology of the purifier and has all of the functionality you could want. We recently had some wildfires in the area while I was out of town and it was great to be able to turn on my purifiers to make sure the air was clean when I arrived home. I plan on purchasing two additional units for other areas of my house. I can't say enough good things. GREAT JOB!!
App seems incredibly promising; however, the software (and device) seem unable to pair to certain networks, and the app fails to provide any sort of useful diagnostic tools to troubleshoot this. The in-app guidance is essentially "restart everything and try again" which is insufficient if there are fundamental problems. Thus, rating 1-start as it's unfortunately completely unusable. Hopefully this issue can be fixed.
Nice job with simple design of app and ability to see data by each device and over period of time. I followed Aaron's instructions to turn phone on airplane mode and pairing worked perfectly. Have a Samsung 5S.
Looks promising, but it took several attempts to get it to add my new 300s and 400s units. Now when I open the app I get a data error since it won't seem to connect to the purifiers. What a waste of time and money for an app that won't work!
Doesn't work. I can do network captures of the purifier communicating to services in AWS and Azure. But, the app itself doesn't seem to work with those services.
Can't complete app setup on Android. During seven steps of setup, app toggles between Airmega wifi and Internet wifi. It repeatedly gives connection errors despite having 130 mps full-strength wifi available at 2.5ghz.
Buggy. During pairing process, it connects to your 2.4 wifi, then to an airmega wifi and back to your wifi. If it doesn't pair, try deleting (Forgetting) your 5ghz wifi to 'force' it to reconnect back to your 2.4. And once you get it paired, you can re-add your 5 ghz back in to your wifi network. Update, after 1 month it lost its Wi-Fi connection permanently.
Could not find Montreal as location.
This app was a pain, here is how I got it to work. 1. Put phone into airplane mode to disable cellular network. 2. Connect to 2.4ghz wifi. 3. Pair successfully. Update: once you pair successfully, the app works great...
Pairing is still broken. Neither of my android phones will successfully pair with the purifier. Had to use my iPad. Not cool.
that was difficult to set up. took me about a half an hour. not for the faint of heart or the technically deficient.
Really a waste to spend extra cash on an app that doesn't work.
Just try searching for ANY major city for Outdoor Air Quality Index and you will get "Location Error. AirMega Can't Found your Last Location." Call support and you'll get the runaround as to why it doesn't work from blaming the EPA web site, etc. No updates in months. App is supposedly 1.0.2, but on the app screen, still says 1.0.0. Fix the finicky and terribly unreliable app.
The Airmega purifier is a unit that looks as good as it performs. However, the app is a huge letdown. It flat out doesn't work for my Google Nexus 6P. Airmega has been extremely helpful and responsive with trying to troubleshoot, but the final answer is that the app doesn't work with the phone. It's a letdown for an otherwise awesome product.
Recently I reinstalled the updated one. New features are so useful, and the conection is more stable and fester.
works gooood
Does not work with a Nexus 6 phone when configuring the purifier (android 6.0.1). It crashes consistently when trying to switch to the airmega internal wireless as it looks like the app tries to broadcast over the cellular network instead of through the wireless to the airmega connection. I finally sorted this out by using my nexus 9 tablet as it does not have a cellular connection. Also, the scheduler on the app is in French with no way to change the language to English and location does not work either.

Working!
I love the modern design of actual air purifier and the UX design of this app does not disappoint. You can always check your air quality and set the timer to have it turned on at designated time. You can have the great product but have the bad experience if the app isn't intuitive, but thankfully the app works flawlessly with the product, ehich makes it a fantastic experience.

Would not pair device, had to use IOS version. Does work after device is paired to network.
