Covenant Eyes

This is by far the best accountability and monitoring software and app we have tried, and well worth the subscription cost. The app has seen huge improvements over the last three years since we first signed up. We highly recommend them to family and friends.

Using up way more battery than it used to. Could also be the culprit for my phone freezing.

This worked fine on my old phone but once I got a new phone & the updated version of Android recently, it was horrid: it was draining 17% of my battery & freezing my phone so often if have to reset it almost daily.

Finally it blocks me from using unsupported browsers. It does what it should. Thank you

Absolutely terrible. Kept on interrupting, couldn't uninstall. Complete waste.

Does what it supposed to do. I thank Jesus for the app, negative reviews really miss the point.

Well I it was good for the first few days but I think its starting to cause my phone to freeze and lag.

The accessability prompt for the latest version covers the screen so you can't actually turn on the accessability feature as required

It's a great app, don't get me wrong, but ever since I installed it, I have had problems with my phone overheating. I have an app installed that checks for the apps that are causing temperature issues, and covenant eyes is one of them. Part of the problem is that since it is constantly on the lookout for inappropriate Web usage, it means that it is constantly using the cpu and the ram, which is what can cause the phone to overheat. If this can be fixed, I would gladly give 5 stars

I've used CE for years, and it's a great program. Recent reviews on here made me nervous to install, but it is not causing any problems with other apps. Since Jan 2017 update, battery usage has become much better. Used to always be in top 3 on the list, now uses only about 2 to 5% per full battery discharge. Very reasonable.

UPDATE: IT help me fix the small issue I was having. I haven't had any problems or glitches. It's always smooth and never gets in my way. Simple, clean, and easy to follow interface. Only recommendation is change it to that I can remove the icon from the notification bar. Thanks! I love it!(5 star, first)

This app is great. It's very careful to monitor what you search, but doesn't block sites or apps for unneeded reasons. It even notifies you if the child has turned off accessibility. Best of all, it's Christian-Based. Recommended for all parents/guardians.

So my dad unblocked Instagram on my CE account because he trusts that I can use Instagram appropriately, but for some reason the app itself is still blocking it, and it's been extremely frustrating when I'm trying to have a conversation with someone on Instagram. Please, if the filter guardian chooses to unblock it, then CE shouldn't block it. Other than that, I appreciate the monitoring of activity.

It blocked Instagram and similar apps/websites without my filter guardian's consent. There is no way to unblock these apps/sites without disabling the entire Covenant Eyes program as far as we can tell.

I'm not sure what to think of this app. It blocks things that don't need to be blocked and doesn't block things that should be. Last evening I tried to look up why my puppy tilts her head when I talk to her and CE blocked it. Crazy. I'm thinking about uninstalling it.

Was this created to make my phone slow because it does a good job of that and why is my browser getting blocked if my "filter guardian" did not set it like that

After fixing recurring accessibility setting on the screen of the mobile device, it interfering with calls clarity most of the times. It's however serving it's purpose by monitoring internet use for me.

It is great for keeping me on track and not watching. It has also helped me develop a deeper relationship with my accountability partner.

I have a new V20 phone and I just warranted my phone because I thought the phone was having issues, then I receive my replacement phone only to have the same issues of it lagging in messaging and constantly locking up and the phone freezing. I went back into the play store and read some reviews on this app and decided to uninstall it and now my phone runs fast and is back to normal. I can't believe an app that is supposed to help me caused me so much headache that I pay monthly for. How do I get reimbursed for all the headache this has caused me?

I held off installing the new update since December and finally updated a few days ago. At first my battery was draining like crazy but I restarted my phone and it all calmed down...CE went from using 17% of my battery to 1% just by restarting it. If anyone else is having that trouble try restarting your phone! Other than that, this app does what it says. Happy again.

Ok, accessibility options have been fixed and the phone was running great until I switched to a Galaxy s7 edge running nougat. Now my phone locks up all the time. My son's s7 edge and my wife's s7 are all doing the same thing. Uninstall covenant eyes and it works great again. This needs to get fixed ASAP please. Thank you.

Opens up accessibility randomly when unlocking phone and slows it down. Unsupporting all browsers but chrome is downright stupid. Having battery issues with this. Accessibility also turns off randomly. (not the reasoning of the unlock issue.) Horrible. The least you could do is actually LISTEN to your customers.

Great idea very poor execution. It makes the phone slow and laggy. It incorrectly intercepts BetterOpenWith as a browser and when notified about it I just got a quick dismissal about my complaint without acknowledgement that it's a bug. At $15/month it's​ not worth it.

I love what this app can do, but it will freeze up any Android 7.0 device. Devs: PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE UPDATE THIS APP TO SUPPORT ANDROID 7.0 DEVICES! I want and need accountability software, but this app makes my phone unusable! Update the app and I will give you five stars. You have customers paying $15 a month that can't use the service on their most used devices! Please don't ignore us!

This app is great at reporting what is viewed. However there is one major issue. This app has been causing my phone to overheat, thus lagging, and finally freezing to where my phone is unusable until I restart it. It has gotten to the point I have to restart my phone more than once per day, with four being the record so far. CE has also told me it has stopped working on my device. It is the only app to do that, and after it says it stopped working and I close it, my phone is running flawlessly again (until I restart it and CE is working again). Please fix this because I cannot handle it much longer and may need to stop using the product for the issues it is causing to my device. I'm using CE on my still new LG V20 running Android Nougat (7.0)

I recently switched to a Galaxy S7 Edge. After installing Covenant Eyes the phone began to run incredible slow (sometimes completely freezing altogether), get hot, and the battery would drain considerably fast. After uninstalling the app the phone went back to normal. I tried this twice with the same results. Ran great on my old android phone but crashing on my new one.

This has two big bugs #1 is that about once a month it comes up and asks for you to turn on accessibility but it is already on and will completely lock down the phone so you can't use it at all. #2 it monitors system updates so when my phone updates at midnight it tells my mom your son was on his phone at midnight not that it was uptating. It would be 5 stars if these bugs were fixed.

The app works but it needs to support an actually good browser. You can only use chrome and device browser, which is pretty lame. Support Firefox and I will give 5 stars

as far as monitoring, this app has proven worthy. it records everything that may seem inappropriate. not much slips through. i have given a low rating because it kills my signal strength. my mobile data stops working when i try to browse. I thought upgrading my phone would change that but it hasn't. i went from a nexus 4 to a galaxy s5. how do I know it was covenant eyes? because I run custom roms. and when i forgot to reinstall covenant eyes after flashing a new rom, my signal strength/mobile data was fantastic. the day i put it back on, it was terrible and unreliable. the bright side is it is a deterrent to browsing.

Slows down my V20. Just got an LG v20 last week and right away installed this application. Within 8 hours my keyboard was lagging and the phone became unusable. Returned my phone under warranty thinking the device was defective and once I installed CE, it was right back to being slow like the last device. I'm guessing it has something to do with Nougat. Prior to last week I was on an iPhone 6s and this app worked flawlessly...granted you had to use the CE browser which needs improvement. Sadly, I'll be looking into other applications to utilize instead of CE.

This latest update is a huge battery drain and causes several apps to lock up and freeze, even the Google Calendar is causing my phone to get fiercely hot and freeze up. I have to force start the phone. I like the idea behind CE but this latest bug, along with the inability to use any password manager on the phone, means I'm looking for a replacement.

This app is broken as crap my dad let me go on youtube but every time it shows it's blocked and it drains battery life and makes phone laggy I do NOT reccomend

Updated to android 7 on my S7, and this app is always crashing, hanging and very often makes my phone unusable due to the conflict android 7 and this app has. Please update you app to not suck. Thanks.

Please fix app for LG V20! I have to restart my phone 4-6 times a day the past week. I thought it was my new phone. I exchanged it for another new one. Then, it started it again, the lagging, the freezing, etc. It's making my NEW phone completely useless! Please update it! Thanks!
