Running on a Nexus 4, Kitkat 4.4 the app opens, and closes fine. It has a button that you press to help you locate the comet in the sky, you start turning your phone towards where the arrow indicates the comet is located and that's it. The advertising that is at the bottom of the screen is not obtrusive.

the "prevoius" , "next" and "on the web" button do not go away to see the directions for the comet. so it is not usable... uninstalling
