Cortex Camera for Android
Overall - on my Galaxy S7 Edge excellent image quality and detail in low light, virtually no noise. Cons - very often camera annoyingly freezes for 10-15 seconds on launch or after picture was taken and processed. Less options then on IOs version. Some improvement and controls on dynamic range side would be nice. That said, still - must have for galaxy s7 users, if you want push your camera low light capabilities to the limits.
Works amazingly well! I use it when I want to take a low light photo but not have to fiddle with a long manual mode exposure. It's not for every pic you take but it works extremely well for those photos it is designed for. I use it to take shots of moving water in bright light for nice blur etc. I wish the developer would add in support for selecting every camera on the phone, though. I have an LG V20 and it'll only work with the primary 16mp sensor. I wish it would work with the horrible 5mp selfie cam and the 8mp wide-angle rear cam. Please add support for switching sensors!
Edit: seems to be abandonware. Shame. Not for every shot you take, but it's a great camera if you need to take clean low light shots. You definitely have to keep the camera relatively still though, so shaky hands need not apply. Be prepared to take a look at your gallery to make sure you got the shot you wanted. It's a great app and I would recommend it to photography enthusiasts. For future updates, I would like to see RAW support, as well as support for the front facing camera too.
Photos not any better than the Google camera app or Samsung's pre-installed app. Review that I read said it was able to take raw format. Could not see any way to assess this setting.
I am happy with what this app does for what I paid for. However, the current version is like a software beta: it is missing obvious features. This is a great idea and I would pay even 10x the current price for a fully developed version. 1. On LG G4 it saves only to JPG, no RAW or TIFF. 2. It does not work well handheld, even when I brace the phone against stable supports, always produces smearing and ghosting along edges. Perhaps add a guide on screen for stable holding and discard frames that move too far out and using gyro only accumulate lined up frames. 3. It will only work well on a tripod but it does not have 2/10s shutter release delay?! 4. No manual controls for exposure compensation, ISO, shutter, white balance, etc! 5. No option for blend from exposure bracketed images. 6. No HDR option!
Shots in low light will generally, but not always, seem less pixelated at the expense of very odd colours and a fuzzier picture(even with very steady hands resting on an object) . The trade off is not worth it imo and I would expect it to be much better after talking ten seconds or more to get a shot while hrd+ takes only a short moment. Waste of 3$ for the 6p. Also tried on moto z force and pics are blurry and worse then stock. Made the phone get super hot quickly
DON'T YOU DO IT! Please let mine be the last download ever for this app. Everything every other reviewer said was true. And I didn't listen. This is a terrible terrible terrible terrible terrible terrible app. Rather than download this app, pay someone $2.99 to kick you in the groin; the feeling is the same as trying to use this app, and you will wind up with the same amount of photos. May God and my family forgive me for downloading this piece of garbage.
I've just bought and installed this app on my Meizu m3 note and it doesn't work! I can't open it. It shuts down the moment I try to start it! Could you fix this bug please?
This is quite possibly my worst purchase ever. I can't even get the app to load. Crashes immediately. Nexus users: beware!
Unfortunately, can't get it to run as it keeps crashing every time I start it. I love this app on iOS and it works great on my iPhone. I wish I could say the same of this Android version. Currently using a Motorola G5 Plus 4GB RAM/64GB.
I cannot say whether the app is good or not because it will not even open.
The application keeps crashing and is non functional on my axon 7.
No use...waste of money... Beta not accepted still ...no updates...
The best lowlight camera ever seen... I just loved this... It's fully worthy
I can't open this app. When I try to open this app but it is immediately close. Please fix this.
Works wonderfully well on oneplus three. Amazing diff in low light pictures.
Works brilliantly on ios but almost black screen when I tried it on Android. Somethings wrong with the Android version so don't buy till its fixed. I just wasted £2.50 on it and its unusable.
Just force close... did not even start. Zero stars.

I used Cortex Camera for a few days and was delighted with the results. About a week ago it stopped working and when I try to start it I get the message "Unfortunately Cortex Camera has stopped." I sent an email about the problem and got no reply.
Great camera! Sometimes it crashes when you open photos while it's processing. It should work in the background or continue working when I return but it just freezes.
Well not on my HTC One m8 anyway. Perhaps it isn't supported? Results are worse than stock camera App. The only slight improvement is in noise reduction. How do I get a refund?
Grain and noise is eliminated in pictures taken with Cortex Cam, even when viewed at 1:1.
Pleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeease add front camera support. The best thing is to take good low light selfies

Low quality noise remover, cant make a long exposure style image by laser light...i want to refund
Manual Controls ❔ RAW support ❔. Major bugs include images coming out green, app crashes if you turn the phone sideways while it's processing or if you turn it back to portrait mode while it's processing.
For first version is ok, but need a lot of work - manual control, raw and front cam support
Sometimes under low light, the photo comes out as green.
No good for Nexus 6p.

Great app...amazing night shots with Nexus 5x. Flash is missing
Thank you for adding support for the Nextbit Robin! :)
The best camera app
Seems like it uses a rather dumb algorithm to blend the exposures, resulting in blend artifacts unless everything is absolutely still. Blending manually gives much better results.

Loved this app on my iPhone 5s, hate it on Nexus 5x. Freezes the phone in like 30% of all shots. Had to reboot phone couple of times because it would just make the phone unresponsive. Setting number of frames manually improves situation a bit but that's about it.
