CGCS 56th Annual Conference

The Council of the Great City Schools will hold its 56th Annual Fall Conference, Oct. 17-21, in Indianapolis. Hosted by Indianapolis Public Schools, the conference will feature more than 800 big-city school leaders who will discuss initiatives to improve the quality of education for children in urban schools.

The Council of the Great City Schools is the only national organization exclusively representing the needs of urban public schools. Composed of 67 large city school districts, its mission is to promote the cause of urban schools and to advocate for inner-city students through legislation, research and media relations.
