Car Maintenance Reminder Lite

I used this app for years as it was the best one I could find. I even wrote a 5 star review about how great it was. Now I have change that. I bought the PRO upgrade in the app, and had so much info saved on the app, to the cloud, and SD card. It was time for my phone upgrade, and didn't think it would be an issue to reinstall the app. I was dead wrong. No only could I NOT get all my saved info back, but I lost my upgrade. Says I need to buy it.... AGAIN. I used to recommend this app to everyone, now I'm telling​them all to delete it. I'm not paying for an app twice

I loved the app until. I realized even with the pro version there is no way to back up ur information. I backed up all my information i thought but unable to restore my information. I am not going to retype all my history everytime i get a new phone. Wish u actually could back up ur information.

Easy to use and customizabel. But zero support. Cannot move from one phone to another despite the instructions. Websiye riddled with spam as it is not maintained. I switched to AUTOsist which is similar and web based and continually supported.

A good monitoring and reminder apps. But the application limited to car. Should give 5* if it can suit to other machines too and not just car. For example for generator set in farm that need to be have reminder for maintenance. The custom input is just superb. I can now add my accessories reminder for my engine monitoring such as the bypass filter monitoring.

Great app. Too bad I didn't have it 216,000 miles ago!

Should have cloud storage which can be used to restore data when upgrading to new phone. Having SD storage is fine but doesn't help if new phone doesn't have an SD card.

After upgrading my phone and transferring all apps etc, I have no data. Need the pro version. However after reading a couple of reviews of people having issues with their data backups even with the pro version, I will not purchase the pro version. I will not recommend this app. I am disappointed that I 'lost' years of information.

I've downloaded quite a few apps and none i've found are quite as comprehensive as this. The fact that it allows you the opportunity to customise your own sections is a great addition. Yeah i know some people find it a little too comprehensive but there are apps out there that are very basic & that should suit the Luddites.

Just discovered that it apparently doesn't allow data to transfer between devices when my phone died and I had to get a replacement. So now my data is all lost and I have no way to even recover it cause it was all here

Use this for years, even bought it but I am dumping it. User isn't maintaining it and the back up and restore features don't work. Can't store backup to cloud or my ad card. I am tired of re-entering all my service records when ever I get a new phone. And my refuel records and statistics are gone forever.

Awesome tool for a while. I loved the notes section for little things I would want to remember but knew I would forget. I paid for pro but at some point something happened and it took my pro away status away.

I love this app, the only thing is, it isn't keeping up my mileage. For instance,I have it set for an estimated 12 miles a day and it only seems to be adding about five miles a day. Other than that, it's great.

I had this pro version for many years. There is no support at all! Changed phones and could not get years of data. Loved it otherwise. Best app ever if they had support.

You can backup data, but no way to import that data to the app if you get a new phone without being forced to PAY for the pro version. Total BS, guess its time to find a different app.

This is for the PRO version, but since I got it from Amazon I can't leave feedback on Google Play because it's not technically installed... For anyone having issue with the restore function when switching to a new device. Here's what I did. Install the app, force a database backup without entering any new info. Take the exported "oilChange.db" file from your old SD card and place it in the CarMaintenanceReminder folder on your new device. When prompted to overwrite the existing file say 'Yes'. Now re-open the app and "Restore DB from SD card". I think what happens is that the folder the app wants to pull from doesn't exist until it's created after install. Because newer versions of Android use emulated location to look like SD cards it's hard to determine where exactly the app is looking. Hope this helps someone.

This is good for reminders, and especially tracking MPG. The one thing I wish it did, and would seem pretty intuitive to do so, is the ability to sort maintenance tasks by upcoming first...

Does not recognize my external SD card no more. Will not retrieve previous data installed. Waste of 2.99. Find another app

Just what I needed to keep track of my car's maintenance. So I don't go too long between oil changes.

Good, but not great.. 1. The app should allow services and customised maintenance to be based on miles and/or time, NOT BOTH...2.. there is no provision for Liquid Petroleum Gas (LPG) as a fuel source.

This app is great. Very customizable and easy to use. I like that it keeps track of gas mileage. If I could add one thing, it would be to choose the priority between mileage or time for the reminders...either that, or have a way to turn off one or the other once you've reached the time or mileage so it doesn't keep bothering you every day when you have no intention of accomplishing the maintenance before the mileage occurs. Anyways I bought the Pro because I added a car and it was worth it.

The backup feature on this app doesn't work! Don't trust this app. All of my hard work in maintaining my vehicles is GONE! Please don't waste your time!!!

This is a very dated looking app. I would buy it if it gets updated to like material design bit this too hard on my eyes. Sorry. I have to find something else unless this gets updated.

Tried to restore data and says I need to update to Pro. Otherwise the app is excellent

Great app but now it's going on 2 weeks without working.

Won't even open properly. Keeps on crashing. Complete junk app. Install and uninstalled 3 time and gave up. Complete junk waste of time

The app has worked great for me. I have read a lot of complaints about the backup/restore feature not working, especially when you transfer phones. I had issues with this, but I finally got something to work. I made a backup on my old phone (I tried a few directories and don't remember exactly which one worked). Connected the phone to my laptop and located the oilChange.db file and copied it to my laptop. I initially installed the free version on the new phone. I connected the new phone to my laptop and copied that file into the car maintenance folder on the phone. I tried many ways to get it to accept it and it didn't. I decided to fork over the $2.99 for the restore feature. Once I did that and hit restore from sdcard (even though my S6 has no sdcard) and all my data was back. Before you restore the data, you can check the db by downloading sqllitebrowser and opening the file to make sure your data is there. You will have to open the file in the pro version for your data to be there in the future. This worked for me.

I added two entries witj same odo value. After it i opened the view graph and application is hanged. After it appl never open

I've tried using this app for years and I've finally given up. I've tried saving the data and it's never saved, I've had to re-enter my car info more times than necessary. I wish this app would work!

The app is perfect for someone who simply wants an app to keep track of your car maintenance. Notification, customizable fields. My only suggestions is the design. Interface could use some updating. But overall great app.

I like the concept of the data presentation and the ability to include different kinds of maintenance info. BUT it absolutely sucks when you do an edit. Instead of allowing you to just change a field, it takes everything back to start over mode. I'm thinking of going back to the app I used before.

The best app I have found for keeping track of maintenence. I've spent days looking, researching, and installing tons of apps, and this one is by far the best. It's fast and simple to use, and I no longer need to worry about the mileage numbers between intervals.
