This is the most comprehensive field guide of South African bush. All bush guides use this as a text book in their courses and after 50 years of bush experience and despite owning countless specialist field guides I still keep this little bush bible handy.

This was never designed to be a complete ID guide of all species included, but it is a very nice-to-have guide about the most prominent species in SA. Resolution isn`t the best, but adequate. If you`re interested in only trees, birds, insects, etc. get a book about only that. This is a nice general guide with enough info for the amateur, who doesn`t really care about the scientific names.

The Illustrations as extremely bad, the worst I have seen in any App or Book. First The resolution are very low, Improved resolution will help. Seconded the worst issue is that I found so many images that are no representation of the object, unable to identify some of the objects even if I am very familiar with the object. Not enough info. Will be nice if you can see what is the habitat dissolution and scientific classification of an object. And to top it all the app is not responsive. And to browse lags A LOT.
