Downloading the data files is a real pain in the asp. Server speed is horrible and app won't download in the background, forcing the user to sit and watch while the files don't download. It's taken me weeks and I still haven't managed to get them all downloaded

Was a great smartphone app, gone backwards over time. No upgrades, pics missing. Carpe Diem and resolve please.

A real cheek that the photos are an extra. This should be disclosed

I have been very happy with this App - until now... I just cannot do anything. I've even contacted My Digital Earth, and they sent me a Zip file, so that I could download it onto my desktop.... Still unable to use my App. Why are there such problems after updates? I've had several updates over the years, and its only this time that I'm having problems.... Grrr

Stopped working on Samsung tablet after latest update. Crashes when validating licence after installation. Please fix urgently. March 2017 - still waiting for this to be resolved - shocking service and support

I had the Windows Mobile version before. Exporting that file gives no ID indexing. Without the ID field the Android version can't "see" the birds. Although the File imports, the bird list does not get recognised. Please help. 19/01/2017: I dropped a star rating as I Posted and eMailed this request to the vendor and so far not a trace of a response. Seems like there is no back up for this App. Other issues I found: In "My List" there is no place/location indicator. "Smart search" can't find birds, even if you know what it is and enter right criteria. Helmeted Guiney fowl took about 6 various options before eBirds Found It. I'm sorry I bought this App, seeing that Newmans just launched theirs at a much lower price with better search engine. 19 Feb 2017: Still no sign or hope of any advice or support from the developers.

I still have a problem downloading the files I need to run the App. Unfortunately Sasol Ebirds has stopped. Please help!

Many of the calls for the less common birds are missing whilst others aren't of a very good quality.

I have purchase the photos .it downloaded..but i cannot find them on the app nor on the phone

GPS does not seem to function. The full package and fotos / sounds impressed me quite a bit. Worth the money paid for it. Needs more online features, app is becoming very old school

Loved the app, but it stopped working. When I open the app, it tells me that it needs an update then when I want to update it, the url for the update does not exist.

This app has stopped working? Only the front page appears but can't go further! I have uninstalled and reinstalled app, but same result (none). I see a few more reviews with the same problem but I can't see any response to correct this problem. Can someone please respond urgently?

I have no idea what the other reviews are complaining about. I've used this app several times a day, EVERY day for the past month in SA and Zimbabwe and have learnt so many new birds. Smart search is amazing. Download the extra photo pack for $7 and it adds high quality photos to all the birds. Best money I've ever spent. Can't fault it at ALL.

To detect my gps there is some issue always saying enable to detect your location but I know my gps us still working. Smart search always brings up nothing. No point in paying half n grand for a app that doesn't work properly. Have send them also a email but no response yet.

I use this app on a daily basis and has never let me down. I just have one issue that perhaps someone can help me out with. When i purchased a new phone i could not get my list of birds from my old phone to the new one. I have to manually input the data again. Any help?

I have the original app and wish to download the new picture package. Anyone know how this is done? Google tells me that I already have the app which, of course, I know.

It can not be opened on S7 Edge Keeps throwing up an "No storage medium was found" Error. Have reported it to the company but they refuse to put up an update to fix this...

This app could be so much better. I would have thought by now that they would have found a way to make the sightings list online so that you don't have to go through the process of exporting and importing the lists every time you change your phone or use a different device (I have both a tablet and a phone, and the sightings list does not sync between the devices). Further, the downloading is still an issue, as is the screen rotation. The layout of the app as well as the interface and general design is absolutely terrible. The developers should be ashamed of such a half-hearted attempt. All of these issues could easily be addressed, but it would seem that the developers have lost interest completely.

I've spent alot of money purchasing this app as well as the update. Since upgrading to the LG G5 the app fails to launch. I have repeatedly contacted the developers and after many promises over the last 6 months there is still no update. The app is useless to me and I would like a refund please.

Love the app. Don't go birdwatching without it. The calls is excellent to identify unknown brown little ones. Would love something that can identify on a foto though.

Addisional photo's are of very bad quality. Stick to hard copy. E version not well thought through

Time you start trusting the customers who pay you a lot of money for this app! Think about it for one second and you'll realise that the average user of the app is somewhere in the bush without an Internet connection to validate your license. At least allow the app to login when there's no connection. Just because 1% of people pirate the app, you now penalise the 99% of paying customers with your license checking algorithm.

By now you guys would have sorted out the download issue, screen rotates and download stops, phone goes to lock screen and download stops, download just stops randomly All the time and I am constantly having to restart it. I have downloaded the full zip to my desktop and copied over to my Galaxy S7 sd card (internal root) and still it seems to want to download 195meg of photos????????? if I tap back, I can seamlessly use the app, but every time I start the app, it wants to download all the photos of 195meg over and over again????

Export/Import is useless. Sloppy software development and maintenance. Bird names are not even closely aligned with new international naming of birds. Not worth the money.

App has Lost all the photos. Been trying to upload them again but have to repurchase. Gets to 65% then just drops all the data. Have to buy yet again. Seems like an easy way to make money. No response from developer.

This isn't correctly checking the licensing! I am in the bush and only have 3g and for some reason this won't work!

After buying it it worked fine. Then it stopped working and I only get the "No storage found" message when I install it. Its an expensive app, and would like my money back.

Keep on getting message unfortunately sasol birds stopped working on galaxy s5 start over and soon same message rather go for Roberts bird app maybe more professional.

Refund please. The app hangs up and tried to make contact with service provider via mail. No response waste of money.

Awesome, when one has an idea if ghe bird species. Would be great with photo recognition.
