I had the book but lost it so I bought the app. They've uploaded the book text and photos but the photos are small, and you can't see photo and text or more than 2 photos together. And they've done nothing at all to take advantage of having an app. I wanted some features to identify species I find, like the option to search by habitat or flower colour. You can make a note of what you find but that's the only "interactive" bit. This is a lazy upload of a book. Expensive and not recommended.

For each species there is a single photograph and 1 small paragraph of information. A lot of the photographs are not useful for identification purposes.

Now it is working on both of my devices, thanks to Dianne, I can report that is a really useful app, many thanks for the great support!!

I had expected that there would be more information about each animal. Would be great if it would show more about diet, habitat, maps, etc

For what it does, overpriced. A bit of a rip off. However, still useful.

After downloading the app and opening it up, it then started downloading an additional 25Mb of information. Once it got to 100%, a pop up told me that it couldn't complete the download, and that I should try reinstalling it. I did this and received the same error again. Sounds like several people have had this issue too, so it's a bit disappointing they haven't fixed it. Got my money back.

I like the app, it is useful in identifing species. But the photos could be of higher quality, and the some of the descriptions have random symbols, which should be fixed. Also would be useful to be able to search for key words to describe the organism.

I have enjoyed using this app while out and about. However, this was a very expensive app. To be worth the money, and the 5 star rating, I'd just like more content. More detailed information, and a wider variety of wildlife included, perhaps through regular content updates

Great little app for identifying wildlife. Only problem being that the big data download for the hires pics never works, it gets to 100% then fails to update. Hopefully the next version will sort this out and a full 5 stars will be forthcoming.

So much information which is really useful! Would be much better if there was a search option to help find an unknown species. Especially with the plants. For example wildflower, could search by flower colour. Would also be awesome if we could hear the bird and amphibian etc calls through a sound clip. With warning not to play during breeding season for birds. All in all brilliant app. All my guide books in one place =)

Very useful app for quick id. HOWEVER blurry pictures make it impossible to use for some species and a secondary picture would be useful to see fruit/seeds /general view of plants. Please improve image quality x

A lovely basic guide to take on country walks. Just one thing that would bring it up to five stars - PLEASE could you put the caption below the item, not above it! I keep reading the wrong one…

and the app works fine on the Samsung gs4.

At £6.99 I think it is reasonable to be able to use this on my tablet as well, most other apps allow us to do so!!!

Please sort the sd card error out i cant use the app at all Needs more Great idea for the app but missing to many species need a lot more to be added not worth the money till it gets a major update keeps asking for SD card on nexus 10 which we don't have

I know it has links to wikipedia but the reason for downloading 24MB is so access can be gained offline. As text would be no where near the pictures in data size I feel it could include a little more description. It would then rate as a 5.
