Birds of India for Android
Very convenient rather than carrying a book in the field. Easy to search instead of turning pages.
Older version and not so good image quality
All the birds shown are according to first edition of the book 'Birds of Indian Subcontinent', but in the second edition which was published more then a year ago, there have been few changes which haven't been made yet. Like: Change of bird names, change of scientific names, speciea split, new species added, distribution map updation, etc. When someone is paying you double the price of the original book then you should regularly update the app as per latest information.
Amazin app! Every birdlover should have 1.

Easy to use.. Awesome app...
Its very comprehensive, but its only really for enthusiasts. There's no identification guide to let you identify a bird by its various attributes and there's no recorded sounds - at £15 there should be! iBird Pro has all that and only costs £3.22! It looks as though they've just transcribed the paper bird book and slapped a hefty price tag on it. Not good enough!

Good book for bird comparison but it doesn't have bird sounds. Also in some bird display info written is of other bird. But overall good attempt to capture the field guide on phone. Works fine on Samsung S3.

There are 10-20 wrong articles with mingled pictures, maps and descriptions. I complained to tech support, nothing was fixed. Now some info is outdated and needs to be updated and extended. Also bird calls and info on behaviour, nesting, feeding, migrations would be valuable addition. The blog part is inconvenient to fill up and browse previous records. The program part fails after some time of working and requires to restart the app again and again.
