London Oyster Sync & Refunds for Android
This is my primary app for working out how much I've spent on each journey and keeping track of finances. I need to be exact as I'm self employed and can claim back on travel. And it's stopped working. Completely dead for months now. Is anyone still working on this app or has it just gone dead?
Does what it says. Sadly won't update now since 11th Sept. Now it's sorted. I changed my password on the tfl site and this sorted the problem. For some reason tfl wasn't connecting properly to the app. All good :)
Used to be a great app, but no updates have caused it to be useless, not working and not fit for what it used to do. A great shame. I'd happily update review if app is updated and functionality is restored....
Worked brilliantly so also added it to my tablet. Then my phone broke and I started using a different handset which it is not compatible with. But the good thing is that it IS compatible with my tablet as I like it very much.
This app is brilliant! The only thing is it doesn't update your balance straight away. You have to wait for a day or 2 for it to update.
A fantastic app but needs a desperate update to 2017, although still using it. I would be willing to pay for this app if it was updated. Great for tracking oyster spending and travel, overall best one out there!
Account's sync but doesn't refresh or pull data from TfL. Hasn't updated since 20th February. Annoying as use to daily and to claim travel expenses for work. Please sort out soon!
Does what it says on the tin!!!! Even helps you claim refunds on incomplete journeys and in train delay compensation so seamlessly that it is a breeze
Update Feb 2017: Refund claims have stopped working. Journey history no longer highlights refund eligible journeys. Original review: I've got £28.20 of service delay refunds in a week. Submitting a service delay refund through the app is so much easier than the Oyster website. Click on Travel to see your journey history. The app highlights any that took more than 15 minutes longer than they should have. Click on the journey, tick the box and click submit. That's it. Works if you have a travel card too. The only negative is the app doesn't tell you the value of any successful refunds, or your web credit balance. You still need the Oyster website for that :-(. Other than that, can't fault it. Everyone who regularly uses TFL should get it.
Used to be great, but seems to have completely stopped working now. Just blank screen where all account info should be and never syncs.
I have successfully logged in. However, it neither displays my cards number nor does it let me to type it in! It is just Palin blank!
Upon login in, the app attempts to retrieve my information, gives no error notice, and the tabs remain empty.
This App should be sold directly to TFL and be a available to download from their website. The reason this is a must have App that it brings all of your Oyster cards together in one place. The history of your travel and when you topped up are a great feature. You have detailed information on how you travel and the amount of trips you take on the "Stats" tab. The live feed of service on each of the tube lines is accurate and up to date. Well done !! I hope you have sucess marketing this to TFL.
If you have an incomplete journey it notifies you to go and claim a refund!
Great app to track spend on your Oyster or Contact less Card. Love how you can quickly analyse spend and see if it's worth considering a travel pass. Or in my case encourage me to cycle everyday and get my spend down!
Really good app. However only four stars as I'm unable to get the refunds pop-up to appear....
I only come down to the smoke 3 or so times a year but when I do I get around by bus. This app is invaluable to me.
Does everything I need and more. Yet to have it crash and has no problems working on 3g/4g. Recommended
This has not worked for me since 9th July and its frustrating. I cannot see the travel option getting updated as it says web error. Have uninstalled n reinstalled 3 times. Is it somthing you will fix. It was working good and I was enjoying the app.
Works well - now only needs (preferably off line or even automatic?) delayed journey refund claim submission and that would make it perfect. Scratch that - it allows you to submit refund claims when it think you have been delayed! Fantastic
Love the fact unlike other apps it just works, widget is great. Would like to see unfinished journey & delay notifications though, since sites like ClaimMyRefund seemed to have stopped now you have to do it manually. Also autosync would be better. Also it initially worked, then it was displaying the wrong balance (I double checked on TFL site and the gate display) for a most of a day...now it's OK again but hard to trust it 100% now.
Does what it says on the tin, and I find it very helpful for keeping track of my daily Tunnel usage. While people complain about contactless support lacking, the app never claims to have this function. Come on people, read the app descriptions. I would find it awesome to add the contactless support (if it's even possible}, but for all we critics know - it's probably a function of technological compatibility on the end of the Tunnel rather than the author of the app.
Awesome work. Would be nice to if the functionality was implemented from one of the other apps on the store, where you touch your card to your phone with NFC and it pops up your current balance. Also, the main card tab could do with a little bit more of a fancy layout instead of just having things listed out. Also where there is the red background, using the black text on it is not accessible not readable. But not necessary, just nitpicking. I'd love to mock up some UI ideas if you like?
It does so much more than just giving your oyster balance with the likes of usage notifications, fare calculators, train times and loads of other stuff. I've not found anything better than this, especially not for free!
It works perfectly compared to other apps which are mostly useless. The only drawback is when you have a travel card but travelled to a zone which is not covered by the travelcard. Usually the oyster reader at exit station will detect this and charge you the difference however the app won't show that journey but it will still show correct payg balance after the journey.
Im a tourist and not all the time know where can i update the currency, too bad u cant do it with a credit card here.
I can't add my account. It tries to load but gets stuck with the loading message 'unable to travel visa'. Any advice? Thanks.
Detail refresh on balance is too slow . It toon up to 2 h to get the actual balance and travel detail from last use until it appeared on screen . With an aprox refresh every 10 to 15 minutes otherwise great app
This app has it all. Syncing accounts, notifications of credit, history, line updates, timings and it even tells you when you can claim a refund for late trouble and does the order for you. What more could you ask for. 5*s
Works across all TFL, buses included. Gives you a good breakdown of your journeys and where your spends are going. Clean looking and very quick to set-up whilst easy to use. Asks for barely any permissions too, which is nice.
One of the nicest features of this app is the widget that displays your current balance - except that it refreshes at seemingly random intervals - it actually shows your balance at some point in the past (and often doesn't agree with the balance displayed in the app) so turns out to be worse than useless. Everything else seems fine, if a little slow.
This worked fine before update. Now I can't even sign in. It keeps asking for valid email address. Acceptance of terms and conditions doesn't work when you click OK. Recently updated to android 6.0. Very disappointed
It even shows you a graph so you can work out if you could save money with a weekly/monthly/annual travel card. It's a pity there's no iPhone version.
It is a really good app as it lets you get the money back from delayed journeys. It's got an annoying bug though, after 2 or 3 refunds claimed when I try to reclaim another one it comes with an error that makes the app breaking and I could not claim anything else. It seems to me there are unhandled cases where the app breaks please fix this and I'll give 5 stars. I gave 3 stars simply because one of the core features does not work properly.
I have found this app to be truly helpful. For me the best part is how it highlights the tube journeys that are eligible for refund from TFL. It even works out the exact number of minutes the delay was for! Well done guys!!
A must have app. One thing I have noticed and can be better is the tick box for the license agreement is not visible and had to guess where to tap in order to accept the agreement.
It asked me for my Oyster log in, but doesn't show anything apart from a blank screen? No stats, no cards, nothing? Is this just a scam?
I love that i can click on the bus an see all the stops. The app is pretty easy to use but I cant fine where to sign out. I would like to able to sign out.
Synced for 3 days now and nothing shows up. Useless app

Do like this app. Two things don't work write right on Sony z5.. One after submitting a claim, the spinning circle continues forever and you have to leave the app to continue to use it (through the refund submission is made). Also the lines screen doesn't work. The fares screen could do with a little mute help to explain what you are looking at... But all in all a good little app for helping you find charter refunds.
