COASTER Mobile Tickets for Android
What good is the app if it spends the whole time buffering??? All day long I have tried to purchase tickets and never get to the page. I tried to go to your full site and I don't even see an option. Just want so want to do...go to the station even earlier because I have to have time to purchase a ticket. Hopefully your machine is accepting credit cards or I'll be screwed. I have Jury Duty in the morning
No schedule listed and when you type everything gives you incorrect time. Also all of their schedules on the web are pdf downloads that take forever to download and are not easy to look at the phone.
Idiotic app that gives infinite spinning icon. Useless, slower than ticket machine. I know my from and to stations why do I have to search for them. When I try to type "San Diego" the app crashes. Can't get past crashes and spinning icons. Apparently no testing was done. NCTD incompetent. Should have kept online web purchases, that worked great and was so convenient. Maybe that's why NCTD got rid of it - it worked.
Intermittently fails with no error messages. Hangs for 30 sec+ at a time for no apparent reason. Is it unable to find its server? Did I fat finger my password? Did it have a different error? If it told me the problem, maybe I could fix it.
Stuck buffering or crashes. Can not buy tickets online so this is a major screw up.
What good is an app if it is not usable. Spinning wheel constantly. This is n par with the ticket machines that have issues with credit cards & cash. Brilliant
Useless, garbage app that used to work nicely but now is completely unusable and pointless. The app just hangs there forever. Buy a physical ticket instead of you'll be left high and dry.
Barely worked, I incorrectly entered my CC details for payment (forgot CCV) and it said card accepted (it just dumps you at some database entry response), I then went to delete and re-enter the correct details whereupon it gave me error after error, had to reboot the app to get it to take. All pretty shoddy looking, but appeared to work to buy a ticket.
My battery life is majorly affected when this app is installed. Please update and also include material design.
Had to sit for more than 3 hours in Solana beach waiting for train because of erroneous timeline in app
It just buffers and buffers, you can't reset your password, the schedule doesn't show up...how do people even use the Coaster?!
Recent update removed the amtrak as coaster schedule times and availability to purchase the ticket from anything other than a kiosk for those 6 advertised connection trains. For anyone already on an amtrak you either now can't utilize the lower price or can't deboard the train to obtain a Ticket with time to reboard.

Currently there's no way to buy e-tickets on the website. The app seems to have the framework but nothing is working.

Gives the wrong times, worthless. I missed my train and had to wait from 10pm to 12am. Luckily there was one more train or I'd be sleeping outside at the train station. DO NOT TRUST!
CANT RESET PASSWORD!!! Once password is lost, process to request reset doesnt work and they dont setup a security answer! Also, the developer repeatedly didnt respond to several emails on this!!!
"Content unavailable. Please check your internet connection." Meanwhile, all my other apps are working.
Only problem I have is that the train times are not in real time. Only in scheduled time. It doesn't update if the train is late/early.

Bought tickets online, then I download the app to view them and they don't show up. What's the point of the app???!
I have repeatedly bought tickets through this app only to have them not show up in my tickets. This has happened 3 times and it has been money down the drain and caused a lot of fuss when I explained to the ntcd employees. Useful at times but I strongly urge everyone to buy hard tickets and only use this app as a last resort.
I was very wary of using this app to buy my ticket after reading the overwhelmingly bad reviews of it eating people's money, tickets not showing up, and only offering round trip tickets. But since I was going to be tight on time at the station, I decided to at least download the app and see if I could buy a one-way ticket beforehand. First, I was relieved to find that there was indeed a one-way ticket option. Previous reviews mention that there is only a round-trip option, but it looks like that's been updated. I went ahead and bought my one-way ticket for $5 without a problem. My ticket showed up in the "My Tickets" section, waiting to be activated, just as it should have. I bought the ticket 2 days ahead. When it came time to board the train, everything went smoothly. The ticket was there, I activated it, and it remained activated for the next 2 hours. Made it to the Padres v. Dodgers game and and a great night. This is my first and only time using this app, and it worked very well. Thought it deserved an updated review for the apparent improvements. 4 stars because the interface could be less confusing.
This app worked only once for me. I go through the motion to purchase and it says " unable to connect to the Internet" even though I am. Tried reinstalling, still says the same.
I managed to purchase tickets, but the email confirmation I got just says "file not found". I cannot log in, and I cannot view tickets or purchase history because it just keeps saying "cannot connect to server" so I have no proof of purchase. I dragged the help tool bar that says drag up for help, and that makes the whole app crash.
All I get is "unable to communicate with server" error messages
Only option is for round trip tickets...I haven't tried the app yet as I only go one way..
It's completely stopped working. Used to be great, but can no longer purchase any kind of ticket and have the purchase register on device. I've now been cited twice for not having a ticket despite the card charges going through. Used to work great. Complete brick now.
This app, and the entire coaster service, are great. Makes using transit very easy.

It's ok. Idk about times being off, never really paid attention to that, I always just get the newest flier from NCTD website. But this app, once or twice a year will seemingly be unavailable for hours with no warning and then suddenly will work again. It's like they perform updates or something during the AM commute.
