Control4® for Android

Im a certified installer. The product works great the app could use some work on stability. People if your having issues most of them are from sub par install from your dealer. Every job is different and there is always fine tuning needing to be done for your system to run perfect.

The door automatically locks after approximately 1 minute regardless of the timing choice you choose or even if you turn automatic lock off. Door did not lock automatically prior to hooking it up with this app.

Everything is good about control 4 but the one thing which needs improvement is the way music is played. It's not comfortable during a party to play music using the drive. Please introduce hardware or software support so that music can be played directly using the phone...

This app is not worth the money and time. Bad reviews and the company need to focus on better connection features. Their priorities should be giving people the service they requested. There is no features to update or change your pass word.

Horrible app, loses connection 90% if the time, doesn't sync with ea3, reports incorrect rooms on or doesn't even show room on. How can if be this bad on galaxy 8. Totally disappointing

I rarely can connect to my system. It looks like it connects, but as I go to use it I get a 404 error

Crashes every time I use it unless I reboot my phone, them it works one time after fresh reboot. If I close the app and try to use it again. ..instant crash. Samsung galaxy note 3

i don't understand why you would make an app for Android and not let us stream to the control4 audio system unless we have an apple product which is the only compatible product with AirPlay. I aint buying an Apple product. If i new this i wouldn't have bought control4.

App is sluggish and unpredictable.

Please make it compatible with Google Home, otherwise will be forced to move to other platform. Thanks!

Control4 is by far the best automation company out there! I've never had an issue with the app.

It's the much better than savant

When I use it to control the TV the buttons sometimes don't work at all or they interpret one touch as two. For example when I hit page down on the guide it will skip two pages. When trying to enter a channel number if I try to hit channel 1005 it won't recognize the 2nd zero.

On Android, if you now change the time in the settings for the thermostat, it changes temperature to 38 and 43 degrees and you cannot change them. This is a new issue and a significant problem. You should be able to also schedule time for lights on and off.

After years of continuous upgrades this app still doesn't work well and Control4 is a money pit with licensing changes and customer forced to use dealers for the simplest changes to programming and hardware. Constantly asked to login and that I require a 4sight subscription when on local wifi. This app needs some serious attention...

Just hasn't really changed in forever, for whatever reason every time I launch this half the time it has to reconnect to the system, then gives a foresite error...Will my next home I build have control4 in it? I mean none of you setup matters if you can't control your system...Instantly... it's 2017...You know.... Control like your name

Have had it for a year. This system has had issues since install. Every "update" introduces new issues. Especially for Android users. My app will tell me I need a 4sight subscription when I'm on the Wi-Fi. Or it will say the system can't be found. Reinstalling the app fixes it, sometimes, but it picks and chooses when it will work. Not you. It usually decides not to work while entertaining guests. Wish I would've done more research and spent my money with a company who actually reinvests into their program

Dared to upgrade and now under the WATCH button I can see my blue-ray and my Apple TV, but my Humax set top box has dissapeared? Makes the app all but useless to me. Thanks for nothing Control4

You can't change the temperature in the schedule any longer and this is a huge problem. This was one of the features I actually purchased the system for. Also, a schedule for lights would be great.

First consider you Mr./Mrs. Consumer are reviewing a product you barely know how to use because you weren't trained and don't care enough to listen when you are. Stop being so stuck up and call your dealer. If you don't change your car oil and don't know how to perform basic maintenance on cars and home repairs, you will not be smart enough to know how wrong you are about this system. This technology is smarter than you and 2x smarter if you are a mac user. Burn.

Temp controls only give preset temps and can't customize. This is a significant issue

It's great when it works. The thermostat schedules have a serious bug on Android. When I tap to edit a schedule it just changes the temp automatically to 43 & 38. Otherwise it's working much better than a year ago.

Latest update has schedule settings unworkable. Get this fixed NOW. If I had known, I would never have updated the app.

If you make a change with the new app, you will no longer be able to use the schedule you edit.

After the update this is not working, can't change the chanles, uptown, etc... Sorry. Again after updating there are missing the my music in Listening, I can't understand that every time after updating why it happens.

The app no longer allows one to change the schedule from the app. I can only do it from the web browser on my laptop, if this is corrected I will be happy to amend my review, please fix this, thanks

New application does not update devices status in Android. Had to kill the app and restart to get new device status.

Being forced to use such a horrible app is absurd. Crashes and or disconnects constantly. Sadly for me (since I already bought the expensive hardware) it seems Control 4 is quickly becoming obsolete. If they are going to force you to use their products they should ensure that they are reliable. Control 4 is going the way of the blackberry. EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED!

As a Dealer I can tell you the update has moved some items around and possibly removed older icons. You will just need to contact your local dealer to have it out back together and advise updating to 2.8.1 OS first.
