Les Mille et Une Nuits - Contes Populaires

Les Mille et Une Nuits est une collection de contes populaires du Moyen-Orient. Les récits retrouvent leurs racines dans le folklore et la littérature arabe, persan, mésopotamien, indien, juif, égyptien et médiéval.

L'histoire du cadre principal des "Mille et Une Nuits" concerne Shahryār un roi sasanien dans Inde et Chine. Il a tué sa femme pour son infidélité. Et il décide que toutes les femmes sont les mêmes. Shahryār commence à épouser une succession de vierges seulement pour exécuter chacune le lendemain matin. Finalement, Scheherazade se propose comme la prochaine épouse. Dans la nuit de leur mariage, Scheherazade commence à raconter au roi une histoire, mais elle ne la finit pas. Le roi, curieux de savoir comment l'histoire finit, est ainsi forcé de reporter son exécution afin d'entendre la conclusion. Cela a durée 1001 nuits.

The Arabian Nights is a collection of folk tales from the Middle East. The stories found their roots in folklore and Arabic literature, Persian, Mesopotamian, Indian, Jewish, Egyptian and medieval.

The story of the main frame of the "Arabian Nights" concerns Shahryar sasanien a king in India and China. He killed his wife for his infidelity. And he decided that all women are the same. Shahryar begins to marry a succession of virgins only to execute each one the next morning. Finally, Scheherazade is proposed as the next bride. On the night of their marriage, Scheherazade begins to tell the king a story, but it does not finish. The king, curious to know how the story ends, is thus forced to postpone his execution in order to hear the conclusion. This lasted 1001 nights.
