file on it, I downloaded from the transporter library, and it's just... Vanished. I have no clue where it was placed. My notification showing that it was downloaded just took me back to transporter. This app needs more work, that's for sure.

Folder offline message regularly appearing when app being used. Saw that it is related to Drobo so that immediately rung alarm bells. Hopefully will improve though. UPDATE: Seems like it won't improve, so time to go back to Dropbox. Folder offline message more often than not and cannot download a file on any WiFi network.Not enough updating and Tech Support is a waste of time (Drobo)

Was going to be a Dropbox replacement but failed so ultimately. I have 2 of these just collecting dust. Garbage

Kcikstarter backer here. For what it is, the transporter does a fine job for me. The software has always been a bit lacking but it's getting updates...not as quickly as I'd like but hey, better late than never.

As security admin this tools is really allwing us to apply security controls on public storages providers

My biggest complaint is that when I am at home, on the same private network as my sync, I am unable to download a folder of files to my phone. Also, I can download individual mp3 files into temporary cache for playability, but they are not added to music library as I expected.

All this time for an update to an app that does so little and all they give you is "bug fixes". There's no intuitive way to automatically sync files and/or folders of your choice from your phone to your transporter. Only pictures can be chosen, which doesn't always work. STUPID to not let users choose which files/folders to sync. This is for personal use. I wouldn't ever consider using this joke company for business. They don't listen for starters. I totally regret buying the hardware. Waste of money.

Don't waste your money get a Synology system!!! Sorry to say, we waisted our money on this company/product.

I have 2 Transporter units one at home and one at the office. I really love the units and the ability to backup and sync files without having to do it with some cloud based company that could be based anywhere. However, the App is very restrictive as I am unable to backup photos from my new phone (HTC One M9) as I designated the SD card as the location to store my photos and videos so it doesn't use all the phones memory. The Transporter App doesn't give you the flexibility to change the automatic upload feature to a folder on the SD Card. Also you have to be the owner of the Transporter to be able to upload photos so my wife and children are not able to have this feature which is pretty poor as the whole idea of purchasing the Transporters was to make sure photos, videos and special files were backed so it wasn't a major issue if a mobile device was lost (other than having to pay for a new one) Also it would be really useful to be able to automatically sync files/folders between my laptop and phone without having to go to every file and then select it for download which is a bit too basic for 2015. Also access for others with different privileges would be great ie. Read Only

The app is very basic, once you play with it you understand how it works, but I would have liked a better interface especially with photos and videos, e.g. it would be good to be able to browse or flip thru one-by-one or ..2x4 on 5" screen photos or videos without downloading on an android device with limited memory (with photos / videos any memory is limited). Many apps link to more known cloud storage providers like dropbox or one drive, maybe this could be an option for transporter app..

Im regular user pf DropBox however its annoying to ask my staff to enlarge their space and also i need to keep files on my devices. With Transporter Library i have everything in my LAN to access it and only save on my PC only files that i need quick access. If you have 5 PCs in your LAN this is a good device to have vs others.

Need sort by date function for files, and different sort options. Upload buggy, stuck while uploading batches. Have to open tranporter app first before upload~troublesome.

App is OK I called tech support 5 mints ago and asked about this limitation. They stated the app team knows what the issue is and is working great on a fix. That was 5 months ago. Unless they have 1 part time developer that is unacceptable the to Market. I've bought 3 transporters how about some customer love.

The mobile app is more or less kinda useless and takes forever to update. On top of that once I'm in a folder I can't share anything my only option is edit or delete. Come on guys fix this

Connectivity problems. Confusing. Rarely shows that it's connected from my phone. Basically, it doesn't really work well enough.

Please update the app to include an option to be able to start when the phone starts and to keep the app alive in the background because without these options photo's cannot automatically be uploaded.

First the app requires the user to be a Transporter owner to use the photo upload. A hosted user will not work. That just breaks my use case. In my use case, a family will have a transporter and one of the family members (a parent) will be the owner. Each family member will be given a share and a corresponding email for the share access. The app on the cell phone will allow camera upload to a folder within the Share. Currently, this app expects one transporter for each user. So for a household of four, you will need four transporter units. That is very expensive.

As far as it goes, this app is basic and functional. Needs a setting to specify a default download folder. (Internal or SD Card?) Needs the ability to "Select All" in a folder, and "Download All". At the moment it is only possible to click on each file/photo and download individually resulting in a lot of effort to transfer 500 photos to another. Each click provides it's own seperate notification in the notification bar ... how frustrating to have to clear 100s of these, 1 at a time (or "Clear All" and remove all other non-transporter related notifications) ... One "Downloaded 216 items" notification would be far more friendly. A lot of the time my transporter is shown as "OffLine", even when I am in line of sight, and can see that it is on, don't know if that is the Android App, or the Transporter itself. Will be happy to add more stars, and better review when there is a bit more functionality, and more reliability. Thanks.

Just plug it all in turn on, wait til it's recognised. Then sync with what folders you want. Easy Perry.

It worked okay when I first got it. Now it keeps saying my device is offline although I know its connected.

Not a good design at all. I love my Transporter, don't get me wrong, but this company should make a major investment in the mobile world and get a highly-functional, feature-rich app going SOON. This just won't do.

Over all i think the Transporter Sync and this app are very good, and I how to see continued development. Automatic upload, and ability to download any file on the go are great. It now shows img previews, excellent, thanks for the update!! Organization is still a concern with long term upload. Might be nice to use folders by month and year, at least as an option.

Over all I like the idea behind Transporter. However, this app fails in several ways: -- frequently won't connect to my Transporter, especially when I"m not on my home network (and even then it takes a while) -- camera upload: can't access the camera upload folder from any device other than my phone -- can't change sharing settings of the folders/files from within the app -- needs a gallery view for the camera upload folder The good news is that their tech support is relatively quick in responding to inquiries so hopefully we can make Transporter awesome.
