This PEI Bridge App is made for travellers using the Confederation Bridge connecting mainland North America to Canada’s smallest province, Prince Edward Island.
The Confederation Bridge is the world's longest bridge over ice-covered waters (12.9 km/8miles) and takes a mere 10 minutes to cross at the posted speed limit of 80km/hr.
With the PEI Bridge App you will be able to access up-to-the-minute advisories on the traffic status of the bridge.
Advisories include:
“Green ” – traffic running smoothly
“Amber ” – caution advisory, partial closure
“Red ” – complete closure
You can also find out the current weather conditions and temperature (in degrees celsius) in Borden-Carleton, PE (home town of the Confederation Bridge). Or, access 2 day advance weather forecasts for New Brunswick and Prince Edward Island.
For further current road conditions, motorists can use PEI Bridge App’s direct link to 511™ telephone recordings.
PEI Bridge App also shows you up-to-date tolls and fees for all vehicles and answers some frequently asked questions about pedestrian and cyclist traffic.

Worst app ever - won't rotate, screen can't be resized and print is so small it can't be read even when using a magnifying glass. Come on people pat attention to the complaints and fix your bloody app., or at least hire a 10 year old to fix it for you. AND IT HASN'T BEEN UPDATED SINCE 2014!!!

App looks like it was designed by a 5 year old. 1 year ago: Screen won't rotate, Impossible to read the notices. Today: there are still no updates. Same issue - cannot read advisories because the print is too small, screen still won't rotate. Bridge condition advisory is not coming through in a timely fashion. Had to remove and re-install to get the latest conditions. Giving it another month and then removing it forever.

The recent updates are great. I get a push notification when the bridge status changes. Very helpful!
