has organized an army of solidified supporters enhancing his every

BET’s 106 and Park and #13 on the Billboard R&B charts. This success
led to co-hosting the popular television program as well as making his
national musical debut on BET’s Black College tour all at the age of 16.
When Mishon – whose name is a simple mash up of Michael Shontay –
sang his emotional yet convicting rendition of “Lean On Me” at his
grandfather’s funeral, he continued his quest for stardom by touring the
country and releasing new material and videos through Dynasty Records.
Appearing on Soul Train at 11, performing on national shows daily and
singing from his soul became the lifestyle for the budding star. With much
success independently, and a top 20 R&B single, his journey landed him
and Dynasty Records a record deal with Columbia Records.
Inspired by Michael Jackson, Usher, Jodeci and N’Sync, Mishon’s maturity
is developed beyond his years and his intense work ethic, earned him the
nickname “Yung Hustle” among peers. Well-earned, the guitar and
keyboard player, writer and producer of his own songs, Mishon showcased
his talents in school and music showcases to sharpen his stage presence.
“Michael Jackson is my biggest influence. It’s astonishing to watch him
perform,” Mishon said.
Spending most of his teen years performing and opening for music acts
such as Rhianna, T-Pain, Bow Wow, Day 26, Mario and Trey Songz, he
expresses, “I have always been a singer. It came natural for me.” To guide
Mishon’s talent, his cousin/manager, Doe Henderson and Gerald Lacey,
developed the natural born talent into a versatile entertainer. At 12 years
old, Mishon was given the opportunity to act in his first television role on
the hit ABC Family drama “Lincoln Heights” as Tay, whose storyline
mimicked Mishon’s real life due to his major success.
With an eternal mission dedicated to creating quality music for fans to
enjoy, Mishon released 'The Gift' a mixtape that personifies R&B at it's
finest. Classic tracks like 'Gimme Yo Love', 'Sexy Up In Here', and 'Enjoy'
take you on a journey through history, a time when singers were singing.
The first single 'Overtyme' is the new anthem for every woman that works
hard and goes above and beyond for her family, her positioning, her
success. In this must-hear song, Mishon shows his appreciation for our
mothers, sisters, girlfriends and wives. Mishon is an artist on the horizon
with the focus of a music trendsetter and heart of a veteran. His many
talents and ability to seek knowledge gained him the nickname “Yung
Hustle” for his progressing hunger to win. This amazing talent is a
quadruple threat seeking to create an avenue and one day solidify his
name in music history. “Success does not come overnight,” he said. “I will
stop at nothing to reach the top and show the world Mishon is here to
stay”.
