تأسست حسينية عبدالله ترك في سنة 1928 م الموافق 1347 هـ، وليد فكرة بعض شباب منطقة المنامة حيث أن الحاج عبدالله ترك "رحمه الله" تبنى هذه الفكرة وقام بتوفير جميع المستلزمات المهمة على نفقته الخاصة.
وقد ظلت هذه الحسينية في نفس موقعها ( إدارة المناهج ) بشارع القصر القديم عدة سنوات حتى تعرضت الحسينية للحريق وأتت النيران على المنزل والحسينية، مما اضطر الحاج عبدالله لاستئجار منزل آخر لنقل الحسينية هناك وكان الموقع لا يبعد عن الموقع السابق إلا بمسافة بسيطة، كما تكرر الانتقال إلى عدة أماكن في نفس المنطقة حتى قام المغفور له بإذن الله الشيخ سلمان بن حمد آل خليفة حاكم البحرين آنذاك مشكوراً بمنح قطعة أرض لبناء الحسينية وهو نفس مكان وجود الحسينية حالياً فتم بناء حسينية صغيرة على الأرض الممنوحة حسب الإمكانيات المتوفرة.
وعلى فترات متفاوتة تم توسعته حتى تم إزالة المبنى بأكمله سنة 1997 هـ، حيث تم تجديد وتوسعة الحسينية لاستيعاب أهالي المنطقة من الرجال والنساء.
