iT500 for Android
it is weeeeery useful. in start look, like complicate, but it is not at all. after 3 days using, actualy I find that it s wery esy to used.. and the termostat is perfect...
Works fine the app. The hardware is a bit below expectations. In a 120 square meters home with two stories, the communication doesn't work between stories. Sometimes the unit connected to the heating system doesn't sync with the mobile device.
Really pleased I spent £150 on this useless piece of kit!! The thermostat itself is actually pretty good but the mobile software constantly says can't currently connect to device despite my phone and device both having perfect internet connection! If you can't control it remotely, you should just buy a cheap basic thermostat!! Good idea, completely let down by useless app.
Good for price but slow on the app & why can't you just have an on all the time, off all the time option instead of having to change temperature every time you want your heating on/off!
Huge glitches with this app. It is so frustrating! I can't simply set the temperatures and times correctly - the sliders will not set to where I want them to go so the 'benefit' of the app is totally lost.

First, I have to set the time every morning, cause it sets off itself for some reason...Seems like the time zone doesn't comply in real time, while connected to internet. And second, cannot set the temperature with half degrees...the boiler doesn't start, but only if the temperature is set entirely. Weird...
Easy to work once us guys look at the instructions, yes I said it. It's a great app and once you have used it once you'll wonder what you did with out it. It just works as it should. If you want a fancy intro and music....pop a film on.
App refuses to open with wi-fi connection and will only work when using 3 or 4 g connection. Please sort this out as it's very frustrating
Good app, easy to use and change settings. Occasionally takes a minute or so to log me in.

App works well. Maybe a bit dated, but for a cheap system it works well. Have had no interference or loading problems or accessing the system from WiFi or data.
Quality hardware and easy to install. But why do you limit the time schedules to what you think I need? I know what I need and I want what I want. There needs to be more freedom on the schedule, I'm being forced to have my hot water on when I don't want it to be and stop signing me out!
Works fine once logged in, but why? Why? Why can I not set the hot water in the same way as the heating. Just change it so the times can overlap or at least go end to end. Who needs their hot water on 3 times a day? I don't like how this is forced on you, with no option for 'once per day' etc. Please fix it! App bottom icons stretched on my new device. Nexus 5x
OK when it works but app is clunky non refined and not user friendly, multiple times the system says offline and will not work. Money needs spent to develop this app!
New version is faster but same ol' app. Basic of basic. Has such potential! Shame! The app looks gruesome. A system log is necessary (like time: boiler on, time: boiler off, time: temp changed, time: offline etc) and some statistics (like the amount of time the boiler was on, daily, weekly etc). Devs need to have a look at other internet thermostats maybe implement some new stuff.
Looks like it was developed by a marketing department instead of some professional app developers. Clumsy to use, over complicated, confusing controls and icons. Only saving grace is that it generally works reliably.
It is not working while on GSM, 3G or LTE. Connects to thermostat only while on WiFi.
Clock doesn't work. Contact email doesn't work.
Clunky app. Only connects via salus web portal. No provision to connect directly on lan. Request for ovo customers to register on special page rings alarm bells.
Good app but way too slow to load
Its ok, seems basic and has issues with logging in. It could be so much better. Hardware is brilliant but the app lets it down.
It's ok it has always worked for me. it's never let me down. basic but what do you expect for £100.
Would be nice if it had a 'on all the time' option
Works so much faster since the last update. Now add an option to select kettle as default if you only have one, and I'll give 5 stars!
Issues logging in on wifi. Only way to do it is clearing app data then it will login 1st time only or attempt to login and whilst its trying, put phone in to standby then bring out of standby and it will log straight in........strange. Works 99% of the time using cellular data! New app is much better.

App can be more better, is not fast response, you must increase temperature with more than 1 degree to switch on the boiler...

The product works. The hardware is OK, not amazing. I have a few different smart thermostats in different locations. The IT500 app is terrible. It is dated, not user friendly and very limited. No way of seeing usage data. Very slow at responding. Limited in functionality. I won't be using this again and if I see a deal on another product, I may well swap it out.
We've had our IT500 installed now for about 6 months. Whilst the room thermostat works flawlessly much is to be desired with the web portal and Android/iOS app. We are constantly bombarded with 'device is not available' errors, we have contacted Salus about this and they say it's a problem with our ISP which I very much doubt as the problem exists when accessing the device from the mobile network. I much suspect the Salus server is overloaded as the errors are more common during early morning and evenings.
I installed my IT500 last week and included an IT300 for upstairs (zone 2). I like the look of the hardware, it works quite well but I have a 3 zone property ie 2 for heating and 1 for hot water, the unit can only handle 2 zones which was disappointing, but I worked it out. Im disapointed that the IT300 has no display? As for the App, Salus need to put some investment into this. It can be so much better. Please include more features such as history boiler/heating function, outside temp, more on/off functions and once I'm working on a zone, you can forget which one as is not displayed. I've read more reviews below and people have written some good ideas, so please listen and do your best. If I had seen the app function first, I would not have invested in your product. If you fix the App, I am possitive that you will receive 5/5 star ratings and give the other suppliers a good run for their money. Thank you.
Takes ages to sort through weeks time schedule if you want to update it
Installed this at home. Works in a fashion but it could just be so much better! Compared to the numerous Smart Thermostat systems out there, this is not even on the same planet. The app itself is extremely basic and ponderous. You work within extremely tight parameters with no ability to customise. My rental properties will probably be getting the Evohome system, which is a shame as this promised so much, but just can't seem to deliver anything other than the simplest task of turning the heating on and off.
Great to be able to program a holiday so quickly or turn up or down the heating when out and about so that you save fuel costs but come home to a nice warm house. Over a hundred quid cheaper than the British Gas one and very easy to fit for anyone with electrical savvy. Very pleased indeed.

The app as the whole company is a joke. You wouldn't believe the nonsense you have to go through to do anything with this device. They should go bankrupt asap
