About Onceaday - daily habit routine

Onceaday is a beautiful way to check off your daily habits: the routines repeated day in and day out that will turn you into the person you want to be.

concept.

Hi, we're Appaday. We built onceaday because we wanted one central place to keep track of the habits that should be repeated daily for self-development. We didn't want complex graphs - We just wanted to see and be motivated by our past progress, and we definitely didn't want a bland interface for our colorful habits.

When we first started experimented with tracking habits on an Excel Spreadsheet, we were quickly turned off by the emotionless grid lines. A list of habits is something we're looking at multiple times daily and it made no sense for us to keep our habits in an interface that wasn't aesthetically pleasing to the senses.

We believe that creating a beautiful habit list will entice each of us to do more of the productive habits we know we should do, but we often aren't reminded enough, to actually do. With this app, you can pick up your phone, feel inspired by your colorful habits, and Once(one)aday.

additional.

This is an early prototype so please keep that in mind while using the app. We'll try to make sure things don't break for you, but we're not perfect (we wish we were too). I'm going to be making rapid changes and I'm sorry if things break for you. C'est la vie.

With all that said, enjoy, and constructive feedback and bug reports are always appreciated at onceaday.app@gmail.com

Now download this app and take that concrete step towards being the best you possibly can in your life.

I love it, the colors are beautiful and mesh very well. Simplicity and sharp lines are really import to me, so finding this app is great! Thanks for making such fine software. Also do you plan to allow the thing where you can put the app on a sim card, it hard to keep too many apps on the internal memory and it's hard to delete arround even small apps.

I really like this idea - but my main issue with using this app is the remembering to use it, because using the app is a habit in oneself! It'd be super helpful to have reminders/notifications on each habit, reminding the user both to do the thing and also to mark it off - so, perhaps for my "gratitude" habit, I could set a reminder on the habit to do it at 7:00am each morning, or remind myself to "drink water" at 2:00pm. That would be immensely helpful, and would really take this app to the next level!

I like this app because I am not trying to track habits. I'm just trying to track when things happen. For example, did my leg hurt today, or did I eat out today. These aren't things that need to be 'streaked' as so many habit trackers demand. I don't need to have tracking my life become my life and this is simple. One suggestion, I can't back edit-if I forget to track something and I don't want to be reminded to track because I have a spontaneous life-I don't need a reminder to go off when I'm out and about. Also, I see this only goes back to Jan 11th. Is this because this app is new or because it only tracks a month at a time?

It's ok... Looks nice, but it seems like it's missing features. I accidentally added a couple blank habits that I can't delete (since there's no text to click on). And what about setting a daily reminder to check the app?

M70%
by M####:

I would like to be able to edit the habits. If the name is too long, you can't see all of it, so it would be great just to be able to rename it.

Widget please! It would help a lot.

Im having a hard time telling which is which as it does not tell me. How do I make it show the labels for the habits?

L70%

Needs reminder and autoswitch to nightmode. Thanks good app.

Good basis but needs work. Need to be able to scroll entire screen, maybe top half for dots and bottom half for habits. Can't edit tasks. Would like to be able to move tasks up or down so they are in order of activity. Would like to see darker colors as some of lighter are hard to read. Would like to see days of week associated with habits as many habits only happen at work.

This is a lovely idea and for an app this new it already has a refreshing interface. You can do away with the scrollbar on the dot calendar, you don't need it. I can't find a way to rename habits? Also regarding weekly habits you can make it so that when the user labels the habit weekly, a tiny W can appear near the label. Then you can simply adjust the habit's streak timer and maybe even lengthen the dot. This has a ton of potential and I hope you will come through!

good app, but as the name suggest you can only track habits that need to be done on a daily basis. you can't track things that you want to do 3x a week for example

M70%

The app seems really nice and I'm eager to find out. But it seems that I can barely tick what I've done because of the amount of habits I have. Will edit to five stars if you find a solution to this ! Thank you for this app nonetheless.

M70%
by M####:

Very useful! Lovely interface! Will it be possible to create a widget?

M70%
by M####:

Good but a bit buggy, no widget available and it starts playing up when trying to add details to the habit.

Love the idea and the interface is great. I'd love to use this everyday! Only issue currently is the inability to edit habits or delete a blank habit (I accidentally created a habit without a name and there is no option to delete). Looking forward to more updates. Thanks for a lovely app!

I realize this is an early release version / it's being worked on. However this is no where near ready for prime time. Simple things like editing the name of a habit don't work. The keyboard doesn't pop up when you try - just the emojis which are of course unwanted and useless. You can't delete a habit. Uninstalling and reinstalling as an attempt to change habit names also doesn't work, as it restores from your linked Google Account. While I want to be sympathetic, and say this app has a lot of potential, I don't think this version should've ever been released. It doesn't even do the basics. I went back to the prior version of the app where you can at least delete habits. You still can't rename them it seems.
