Toshiba Cast TV Remote for Android
Whats worse than a tv with no physical buttons? (Volume, channel) A tv that uses a horrible app. Half the time I use it I get "TV No Responds". Much like the poor grammar in that statement, this is a poor substitute for a remote for a low grade tv. Toshiba, what happened? You used to be good.
The ambush style adds that occur everytime you open the app or want to push a button, like adjusting the volume, make this app not only obsolete, but downright insulting. Use an alternative. I'd rather pay a couple bucks for this app then have these adds in my face for another 20 seconds. Learn how to market. Purposefully making it so people MISCLICK on your add links is predatory and disgusting. I hope your business venture fails.
Well it worked wonderfully for about a week and this is 3 weeks later and I can't change the channels! It sucks a big fat one! The only thing this app is doing is taking up space on my phone. Argghh!
It works as advertised, but there's a glitch that would turn off the TV when the app is reconnecting to the TV and it basically needs to do that every time when it's launched, so if you launch the app when the TV is already on, it will turn off the TV once it's connected to the TV. This is very annoying. Please fix it.
I can nor use my real Toshiba remote control any more, there is no way to see program info on each channel. If I uninstall the app will my real remote work again. I also notice no one ansqers any questions about this weird app for any clarity.
It only cast to the back drop. Doesn't show any cast ready apps. Tuner works fine though. Please fix or help. Many people have these TV's and the remote just has a small limited use of features.
What is the point of this app if every single time I use it I get "TV not responding", please do the courtesy for everyone and just remove this useless app.
Work sometime no tv found need better tech work
U have to refresh it every single time u use it!!!
Two things I'd like better: *Power control only works to turn TV off. It seems to be in standby so should should accept commands, but have to physically turn it back on. *Would be nice to "subscribe" to series rather than needing to open other casting apps and 'sharing' individual episodes with this app to put them in queue.
299 bought cast tv toshiba showbox app all my tv is free love this tv more then anything and great app u better hard wire your tv because your device will be wifi
Doesn't work. I have the L621U
Disregard the ONE review (I won't "name names) but this App works just fine...GREAT, IN FACT! The reason said individual said it doesn't work is b/c he doesn't have the right TOSHIBA model TV. If he read the "Supported Models" (which were JUST RELEASED" today, on August the 14th, 2016), he'd SEE why this app doesn't work; he wrote his review well before this date so he's trying to use this app on a TOSHIBA Model he couldn't possibly have had when he wrote this review! It would REALLY HELP if people would just SIMPLY READ the SUPPORTED MODELS before they give Apps a bad review!!! Again, this App works great...in fact, if you're fortunate enough to have one of TOSHIBA's NEW 4K Ultra-High Definition Model TVs (again, just released on August the 14th, '16), this App actually works BETTER than the "plain Google Chromecast App" b/c it is specifically "tailored" to these 4 models (43", 49", 55", and 65" ULTRA High Definition Models) as it has MORE features for these incredible TVs. Keep in mind, TOSHIBA has been around since 1875 (over 140 years) as compared to other companies that make TVs like Vizio who have ONLY been in the "TV Business" for 9 or 10 years; that's it!" 5 STARS!
It worked with the 4K television with Chromecast installed in it. No complaints. I do prefer a full featured remote though. I'm not into controlling everything with my smart phone.
Power button only works when TV is already on, which defeats the purpose. The app is also very incredibly slow, but it works.
I think that this is the life I was waitin for
Does not work

Randomly shuts off my TV whenever the app is killed by the Android OS. VERY annoying considering I use my TV for competitive gaming with cash prizes, and this has cost me money more than once until I figured it out.
