Material Comic Viewer Free for Android
The app is great, It take a while to find out where my sd root path was on the directory structure, but that's an android problem , I think you could give an easyn UI shortcut for this scenario. Except that the app is great.
A very nice comic viewer. The reading interface feels real smooth. The organizing interface is fancy and unobtrusive. What I liked a bit less is that the app has two separate what-do-you-call-it - titles in the "recent apps". I also had hard time with a comics named "bla bla bla v 2 13" (that is volume 2 issue 13): the whole volume 2 was recognized as comics "bla bla bla v" issue 2, but that I could fix perhaps by renaming the files into something less confusing.
Nice and streamlined comic reader. Has Google Drive support, and a decent amount of features even in the free version. If you're a stickler for apps that are more regularly updated, Astonishing Comic Reader is very similar, both in features and a focus on simplicity. Still a decent reader regardless.
Probably the best comic book reader on android platform, great Ui, but it looks like the developer abandoned it. Otherwise perfect app.
Pretty good. It would be nice if it showed more clearly what you get with the pro version. For example, you need pro for page turn animations, but it doesn't show what the available animations are.
Webtoon support pls, im switching to this app cause of its pretty ui ^^. But the images get kind of blurry when loading webtoons (long pages)
Stop working in big pages comics
Junk, constantly crashes
As an owner of a phone, I can attest to the tiny storage space I actually have, which cannot simply be used for comics. The developer needs to expand synchronization where I can delete files on my local storage and still keep the tiles that come from them. Other than that, your app is amazing!
Love the material design and how fluid the transition is from page to page. However I'm having a problem where comics are doubled in page length and the first half of the comic is just blank white pages. So if my comic is 20 pages it shows up as 40 pages with 20 blank pages before the 20 actual pages of the comic. This also prevents covers from showing when the comic cover card option is set.
When I first got this app, I thought it was a pretty good comic viewer, with a nice and clean interface. But it has one huge flaw. Whenever you delete folders in the app, it deletes them from your system. This is a problem because once, I accidentally loaded all my system files. I proceeded to delete them off the app, but I had no idea they'd leave my system. Now my phone is all messed up thanks to this app. I wouldn't recommend installing it until they fix this huge problem.
This app had so much potential. It's fantastic looking, and has some of the most intuitive interface design of any comic reader app out there. Sadly it's very buggy especially with larger collections, and the developer hasn't sent out an update since August of last year. If he updates the app at all I will change this review asap. But in the mean time many of the bugs make it completely unusable.
Small bug, the font is white in the reader, where you can create a new collection, so you can't see what you wipe. It would be nice having the option for adjusting contrast. Another bug if you try to do multiselect by holding a second item down everything visual screw up
Bad folder browsing, slow with only 8 covers. Nude ui but feels like an astonishing reader rip off.
Ever since Marshmallow, will not support reading from external storage. Was great, now useless.
Love the UI and all the options, but it loads all the comics every time I open the app. And it doesn't keep track of what I'm reading.
Nice and clean UI that doesn't get in your way. Only missing a description of how to format the comic book file name, to make sure the reader picks up name, issue etc correctly.
I cannot believe how many awful .cbr applications there are on the play store. I had to install dozens of apps just to find basic reading features. This definitely needs to be higher.
Force stops when trying to select SD card.
Finally! Ive gone through so many other readers, and this is by far the best. Thanks.
I was looking for a functional AND good looking comic viewer for a long time, until I found this one today. Simply excellent.
Can't open cbr file. Just random green, purple screen.
I have various folders with different series. How do I get them to show in folders instead of showing all my comics in 1 place
I've tried every other comic reader app available on Play Store but it seems best.
I put my comics on SD card. This app can't even browse my SD card
Need a always portrait option. Lower quality thumbnails would be nice too.
Material design.
Pretty basic, missing some necessary QoL improvements. Adding folders/books is a chore. Full screen ads are fine but annoying when they take a few seconds to pop up.
Pretty rad. Though the snow white start screen is annoying.
Have used a few comic reading apps but have settled on this one for its simplicity, features and stability. Super smooth comic reading, I highly recommend it.
Loads up comics very fast and has many options (for a free version) ... Best free comic book reader on the play store
Doesn't work. At least on Nougat. It did get my cbz from OneDrive at least.
Great app for reading all your comics with ease!!
it has a nice interface and looks aesthetic. it's easy to use
Love the design, fast lists, and smooth reading.

It was working great, then one day I opened it and the app was completely reset. No record of what I'd even read. It is also now unusably slow.
Why doesn't it read my .cbr files? "Something went wrong."
It looks great (Material Design!) and has great features. High quality page and thumbnail rendering. One thing that needs to be fixed: pressing "back" should go back one folder each time until it reaches the menu then quits. Instead, it cycles through every single folder and menu you've opened, which is annoying if you just want to quit. Also would be nice if there was an option to display full covers in the comics menu and not just square thumbnails.

Love the look and feel, reading in landscape mode is especially nice. Hasn't been updated in a while though, not sure if the app's been abandoned. Shame, since this is one of the better comic readers out there. It also keeps listing non-comic items even after I point it to a specific directory. And for some reason, it's started occupying 1GB of space on my phone, and clearing "comic info" under settings does nothing. Will see if a reinstall can fix that.
