This is a great way to find out what's going on at Colonial Williamsburg. Adding notifications and links to calendar would make it even better.

C70%

So much easier to navigate all the activities and events. The reminders are great as are the maps with directions. Would love to be able to send pins to family.

D70%

What a remake! Haven't used the wayfinding yet, but love the new interface and fun features.

D70%
by D####:

This app is helpful but it needs to support notifications of favorites events and most importantly it needs to add event ticket purchase the way the website does.

Love the new CW app!

D70%
by D####:

I would like to see them add a favorites button to help plan our trip. It's a bit clunky using the filter often loads a site in the background while trying to filter and the filter is still is open

X70%
by X####:

The major shortcomings of this application are: 1 – you can't enter a name in the search field, and 2 – once to find an item in the list, it doesn't tie to the built-in map. It does, however, allow you to use an external mapping function to locate the feature.

Great App for finding things to see. Only problem was that the events marked open to the public now require a day pass. Upsetting. Left early because of it.

Y70%

Not organized well. Need to add ability to look at activities and events for future dates.

L70%

The schedule only shows today's schedule. It would be nice to be able to plan ahead, even for the next day.

I have 4g with great signal and the app will not download onto my HTC. This must be my sign....

I use Samsung note 4. At first it wasn't showing any schedule. I have since uninstalled and reinstalled. It is now showing Today's schedule. It would be nice to see a 5 or 3 day calendar. If that happens, 5 stars it is.

This app goes hand in hand with the paper map. I wouldn't want to use this app alone but armed with this and a map really makes the experience. We used this app mostly for more info to each event we wanted to know more about.

Great map and description of activities. Also great link between the two, and has a filter. Some activities not noted as cancelled - needed to use antiquated "paper" guide. Otherwise quite useful.

D70%

Waisted my time thinking events were free when they weren't. Left kids bummed.

D70%

The app is very helpful and easy to use! However, I wish it came with a way to bookmark favorite daily events to create an itinerary of sorts.

I installed this in the lobby of the Woodlands. Being a little nerdy, I thought it would be just the thing. No such luck; my paper daily map was way simpler and easier to use, not to mention read. The little icons are ridiculously generic. For a new visitor, how important are bus stops? Yet they use the same icon as parking lots. Not helpful. Anyway the almost-map is drawn in an unreadable light-on-light color. This will need to be as good as the giant paper map, to be usable to anyone.

I appreciate the effort of the Foundation to put out an app. Unfortunately, it needs a lot of work. I found the filter clunky to use and not well designed. There aren't enough options and the groupings are too large. It would be nice to have a filter that allows you to see all the events that require a ticket (free/not free). There's also a difference between 'kid friendly' and programs geared to kids. If you filter the 'kid friendly' events out, you may miss programs you'd like to see. There should be a filter that lets you see what events/programs that are open daily (like carriage rides, stores, snack shops) and those that are more limited in duration. BTW - the app shows Rev Quest is over in the morning. It's not. So why is it grayed out? It would be nice to see more than just the events for 'today'. It's really had to plan because you can't find out what you should see today that won't be available tomorrow. It would be nice to have a listing of all programs within a date range, select what programs you want and then have it plan what you need to see when. Overall, a little frustrating and I prefer the paper schedule.

I would love to give a higher rating because I love Colonial Williamsburg, but I can't. I can not even open the app on my Samsung Tab 3. If I try to open it it makes my device reboot. Every time. I deleted it.

I have tried to download this app for FOUR (4) days. It will NOT download. I hate apps like this, that just suck your life out of you.

This is a good start but only a start. The app doesn't keep up with all tours and programs offered during the day so it can never replace the daily program. You can't use it to see the next day. The map isn't interactive. The app allows you to attempt to make a reservation at Chewning's Tavern but not only don't they accept reservations, the link takes you to a different restaurant so if you aren't paying attention you might think you made a reservation but did so at a different place completely.

I like the idea of this but still needs work. If you are going to have certain activities give directions then have all of them. It's not super clear as to where you have to go for each activity. If I knew the paper map had so much content I wouldn't have bothered with the app.

The list of events was okay, but the maps were not correct. Had to rely on paper maps. I downloaded the app on my Samsung Galaxie S4 and my Samsung Tab3, both have totally incorrect information. The app was worthless.

You can't just find something and save it or find it without lots of work . It would be great to be able to plan out the places and times you want to do the next day on the app.

Might be just me but the map stopped showing everything. Just a grey map with street names.. That's it. All other features work perfectly.

This app if not very helpful if you can activities past today.

The map and events do not work together so at least have the location of an event in its description. Easy change that would make this app more useful.

This is so useful for visiting. I especially like how the map will tell you the exact times the different exhibits are open.

For me, the 'Today' events are most helpful as I often spend weekends wandering through town and going to seasonal events. But the app only displays events on the CW calendar for today. It would be nice to see events for the next 3 to 5 days too. When wandering town, it is difficult to read the CW Website's Events Calendar from one's phone, and it is a shame to have to use yet another paper schedule every week picked up from the Lumber House just to see what is going to be available tomorrow or the next day. More event listings on the app would be perfect! And it would reduce paper usage too! P.S. Don't forget to include the behind the scenes walking tours too.

Would like to see when you select a site it would highlight it on the map.
