LibreOffice Viewer Beta for Android
One HUGE problem! App will not access my microSD card files. I keep all my files on it where possible, so this is a big handicap for the app. I have a Samsung Galaxy S5, running 6.0.1.
Beta version better than other, but still needs work. Quite slow, but at least will open my .ods document.
Cannot open password protected odt docs
Best in desktop however.
App is useless for me while it doesn't see SD-card!
Par example de LIBRE OFFICE !!! A wonderful example of famous LIBRE OFFICE.. works like a charm! Putting on top 100 list of portal. Keep on the good work!
This was the only app that displayed diagrams, contents index and illustration index correctly. I also prefer the method of file selection to others.
On a Chromebook, does not "see" files on the Chromebook. It seems to be assuming an Android phone/tablet file structure. This is not the file structure on a Chromebook.
I love libreOffice! Still in beta but works for my needs already. Thanks for the good work and remaining free.
Nothing shows
bad
Dreadful
The LibreOffice Open Source project has been slow to adapt to the rise of mobile devices and thus far, support for OpenDocument Formats has been limited... Hence, LibreOffice Viewer is a welcome start that permits the viewing of most common productivity filetypes on mobile devices and is certainly a step in the right direction - I'd love to see an in-application "donation" feature however, in addition to a "mobile" version of LibreOffice itself (i.e. Not just a viewer) in the future.
Great work. That's all there is to say.
But CALC was working, even if just to display the data. Now, it crashes when it's opened. Hope it gets fixed next update. EDIT: The problem (probably) is happening because I putted a password on the file. ^^
I may be ahead of the curve as I'm running android nougat 7.0, but at present the app just crashes at the point of opening a document. It is a beta so hoping this will be rectified at some point soon.
I stand by LibreOffice which is a free, heavyweight document tool with all the features of expensive commercial alternatives. I'm sure this app will develop past Beta to reach the usual high LibreOffice standards and rival other products.
Almost as expected, what that guy said. One thing I do have to add, is that my odt and ods files will now open in google drive while this is installed! Now we just need to wait for stability patches!

I support Libre as I use it in Linux Mint but I have to uninstall this because it has no access to SD Card storage. Please have an option to hide system files. Will explore this in the future.
Very excited to see LibreOffice for Android. Looking forward to some great office productivity times.[Hey it's still beta people. Adjust your expectations accordingly.]
This is advert free, free money wise, and enables me to not only view but also edit .odt files. Keep up the good work.
Thanks for the phone version. I have been using Libre Office since back when it was Open Office. Works on my computer which has Ubuntu Studio (Linux) for its operating system. Lets me convert things to those other overpriced formats in order to send things to people who've been fooled by the advertising and also be able to read what they send me.
Slowly, can't search. Can't filter. I'm a user of libreoffice PC version.
Cannot open password protected odt docs
Best in desktop however.
Does not read SD card galaxy s7
Very poor app
Hands down this is the BEST thing to happen to Android. I love the interoperability of this suite, and the ease of use and adoption on this platform is awesome! Now I don't have to switch from Ms Office to Libre Office and back on desktop....to laptop....to mobile device! Thank you to all parties involved with this awesome creation!!!
Rendering is painfully slow, though. Interface of file explorer is dated. Should detect files but never does. Settings like "List view" don't persist.
Why do I need just a viewer, it's just memory waste, so before I download i thought it is a whole set of word processors and such things, waste, I have good ones Who can edit , but expected more from you ,"I am a desktop Windows user with libra office, I expected something like that"
Opens doc files and renders them as good as the desktop client.
It was not great in the beginning, but things have improved and started liking the latest versions.
Navigation between pages is e x t r e m e l y s l o w!!! Crashes frequently. Not worth using.
Great work. That's all there is to say.
High memory size & some documents not open
when will this become an editor?
Little slow
Thanks for the hard work on this

Looks promising, but not really usable yet. Variable-sized fonts are displayed in a strange way. Formula are rendered correctly, but at incorrect positions. Randomly crashes when opening files via "Open With" in google drive.
