Coinbox: Bitcoin point of sale for Android
Very good job : simple and fast but some options are missing
Could be much better. Appears to be abandoned. No updates for over a year. No replies to email. No updates to help section. Errors in app (email sending, blockchain checks). No support for HD accounts. But the essentials still work. Especially love the Stripe integration. Would love to see this app get the attention it deserves. It could be truly great.
can you import an existing product/price db into this?
If only the credit card part could use audio jack card mag stripe reader. Than I would rate a 5.
Great start. Crashed a couple times during transaction, which is bad. Would be good if it could configure # confirmations.. for small purchases. Also, tax should allow decimals
I am having trouble creating account with bitcoin
I have not used the app... yet. I do have a question about credit card purchases... do I need to set up my own Stripe account or are you converting the purchase amount to bitcoin then transferring it to my bit address?
the new account feature brings up a page that you can not enter anything into.
The Best
This is how point of sale is done! Great work! Great support!
Hoepfully we could add security to it
I hope you take these comments as constructive. You have a unique product that just needs a few tweaks to be awesome. I find a few things to unintuitive during the process of adding items to the checkout screen. 1. It would be great if you could allow us to create items with a zero dollar value. Think of it as a generic template. For instance, at the restaurant, we are going to deliver the "check" from our standard POS, but when we present to the customer, it would be great to be able to pick and item called "Food and Beverage" and be prompted to fill in an amount. 2. It would be great to have a gratuity item with quick picks for 15/20/25 percent built in. 3. Aesthetically, it would be great to have the number pad pinned to the bottom of the screen (particularly for the larger tablets). This would leave room for a scrollable itemized list instead of requiring the user to view the list separately. The customer needs and 'at a glance itemization' of all charges. 4. You have a 'C' at the bottom left corner instead of a delete / backspace key. This really makes it feel like a calculator. It's not a calculator. I think people are used to the delete symbol in the upper right.
By far the simplest and most logical btc payment app available. Very stable and easy to use. Retaining complete control over your wallet is essential for security, and unlike other bitcoin POS systems, this app allows you to do just that. 5/5 stars, and I look forward to any future developments of this app.
It's so easy and intuitive to use.
