Remote+ Free for DirecTV

It's perfect. I lost my remote control and was going crazy because I have directv with the mini box so I could not change channels without the remote. This app just saved me for now until I find my damn controller. ????

The dumbest piece of sht I've ever seen in my life. I need the remote to configure this app to work, which defeats the purpose if I have the remote, I wouldn't need this. Comcast remote can be scanned to the box and instantly it works. Smmfh, 1 fkn *.

Works SO WELL!!! I personally think that its WAY easier & faster 2 use than the actual Direct TV App(which that app has a remote also. But Direct App is SO SLOW. The remote is the worst part about Drct.TV app.) That's when/why I searched 4 remote app 2 control my DirectTV Box..Found this app & like I said, Love it & it makes life easier lol .just need Wi-Fi and with one touch of a button it scans for receivers, finds them, boom you'good to go. Idk how it can set up so fast with one click but it does. Only controls cable boxes not t.v..thats fine.don't need it to.

I finally got this app working again. Now it's working better than ever. I think the problem was that some of the DTV settings got changed somehow. This app's description of how to do all the set-up is a bit confusing in places and incomplete. If you spend enough time deciphering the jargon and exploring the DTV settings, you should be able to get the app to work. I think some of the low 1 & 2 ratings are from setups that don't have wifi. If you don't have wifi, you need a different app.

When I scan for devices nothing's ever comes up even though I have a HD DirecTV box and 2 regular boxes? Please help I would really like to use this app and even go pro but I can't connect hopefully you read this

Never lags, easy to set up, ridiculous how amazing this app is. You dont even have to be smart to use it :) haha but, it starts getting annoying when it says "go pro" wanting you to buy things...

It is a very good app to have. I have a herniea and bad back, hard for me to get up when a family member moves the remote. I can even go over my brothers house and use this app

My kids lost my remote and I looked everywhere for it and still couldn't find it. I searched apps for remotes and came across this one and it found all my receivers and now as long as I have my phone, I have a remote! Works great!!

This is a great app except for the fact that I have to uninstall, then reinstall because I can't connect. I'm on WiFi, but it will come up with no results after scanning and the only thing that works is to reinstall.

Works as if it were a real remote! My mom actually has this remote app on her phone. But there is 1 problem. It just stopped working randomly while trying to get to our recordings. If this is fixed, I will rate all 5 stars. Thank you.

Came home late from traveling only to discover my son's dog ate our remote for the 3rd time. Downloaded the app and in minutes working great. It would be nice if it controlled my Yamaha receiver for volume... Not sure if the Pro version does this

Stuck with a useless remote in the middle of a tv series. quickly looked up this app installed scanned and used it. It was amazing. It was faster than my remote, but unable to control the volume or turning the box off in my bedroom. menu ,remote style , compact. Having everything on one screen was great. When I can control the volume or turn the box off in my bedroom, ill give it 5 stars.

This app is great; since my fiancée goes to bed with the remote on her side of the bed, I don't have to worry about not being able to change channels while she's sleeping. I had to have the DirecTV Cinema Connection Kit (CCK) sent to me, but they sent it to me at no charge. All I did was set it up, connect it to my existing wireless network, and then got the app. The only thing that sucks about this app is that you need to have internet connectivity in order to control the DirecTV receiver.

So me and my grandma have directv and her remote doesnt work so i downloaded this app to make it easier for jer to controll her tv. It worked for like a couple of weeks then it completely broke. I suggest tht u dont waste your time with this app.

My Direct Tv is not connected to my network, so I need an IR remote. This one claimed to work, but it doesn't. I tried ALL of the remotes from this developer trying to find one that works for someone whose DTV isn't connected to the internet and none if them work. So, this is a loser for my needs.

When I try typing in the unique name of my receiver to manually connect and press okay nothing happens.... thoughts? Is there a way to use this app with a receiver that doesn't use WIFI? i have an older receiver. .. :/ please help asap

It worked at first and when I clicked tammy to watch it, it didn't work and btw i have 2 other TVs in my house do you think that's the problem? Please help me out and I will rate to 5 stars

Update on: this worked on my Note4 without DirecTV being connected to WiFi. The same cant be said for my S7 Edge. --- I can't find my remote anywhere! I thought I was gonna be stuck watching Wen infomercials all night. This remote saved my life! And it doesn't need WiFi to work. Just select the "manual""IR" selection (whatever that is)...IT WORKS!!!! I CANT BELIEVE IT LOL the volume doesn't work tho. But hey, can't win em all lol

Kids lost the real remote, so I searched and picked this one. I'm very glad I did because it was easy to setup and easy to use! Also, as a bonus, there is a useless mystery button in the settings. Keep pressing it for hilarious little messages to pop up! It actually kinda made my morning and gave me a giggle since trump the tramp is now president elect right now....

Installation was quick the standard scan with all my Genie TVs turned on, it recognized everything within 30 seconds and every single room, no matter what the TV brand, now works through this remote on my Galaxy S4 that works as superbly as the one from DIRECTV!

OUTSTANDING!! I downloaded the app, followed the simple setup steps, and in about two minutes it found my four boxes. Worked perfectly the very first time! Reading some of the comments in other reviews I'm impressed with the responsiveness of the developer regardless of the validity of some of the complaints.

I just found this app and hope it works! I called Directv last week to get 2 new remotes as all the numbers and letters had worn off my handsets. They wanted $15. each for them!!!! Give me a break!!!! Directv gives me cheap handsets that I have used for just over a year and THEY want to charge ME for new ones!!!!??????????

So glad I found this app when my puppy chewed up my remote and I have to wait a few days for a new one! It works just like my real one besides the volume and input features which is fine cause I have my tv remote for that but it works perfectly without problems with direct tv's guide and even fwd and rwd features wrk! So glad I found this!!

My remote went toast and have to wait for 3 days for replacement... 3 DAYS!!!!...WHAT??? Good thing I download this apps and I'm back to business. No more waiting.. will never need for a replacement again.

I am really impressed. The buttons are highly responsive, even more so than my own remote, I never have to press a button more than once. My only complaint is the lack of volume control.

This is the best app I've ever installed, seriously you can access it from any where in the house, in any room. I would easily give it 10 stars. Because sometimes the other Remote doesn't always work, I thought about purchasing another one, but don't need it now. Awesome app! !

That's cool as hell! Not worried about the volume control my TV's not "smart" enough. Now I can play pranks on my wife. If only I could control it from work! LOL

Beautiful little app, does more than the original! (Slow motion button). Wish you could incorporate a simple WiFi volume control for it still rocks!

I love this app but I think it needs an update. Keeps saying I need to connect my receiver to the Internet witch it already is. All the codes are right but just doesn't seem to want to work anymore.

Some functions on my remote no longer work, this app allows me to use those functions without having to go out and buy a new remote for a few functions that I don't use every day.

Have a problem with my couch consuming my remote. Downloading the app was easy and convenient. The range is good if not better then the original remote. Still make sure that you phone is not covered while using remote app. Otherwise the remote will not work.

Installed easy, scan detected both direct tv boxes we have. Easily switches between boxes. Fun way to screw with the roomates! Only problem, too many steps to turn it off.

If anyone says this app is crap or bad they lied. It took me no time to figure out and it really works. My fav app:) . U really should get this app!!!!!! #1 ♡

The best app I have ever used. We don't have remotes in 6 rooms. Now we don't have to walk to the main room to control our DTV. It works everywhere. I love it. Even in the bathroom. Or in a closet. Or on the roof. I can't wait to sit in someone's driveway and change their channels or pause their tv, or just do something mischievous. (But benign) I don't know what the pro version costs but I'm going to buy it just to show my appreciation.

This is exactly like my real remote, if I could only find it! Lol! Only thing is the volume but I didn't expect that to work anyways!

Worked easy right off the bat. No more need for IR blasters. I have a big house and have main Genie connected to the non main rooms without clients through my own distribution system and now I can change channels any where in house.
