Aerial Dream for Android
It's a shame about the Android TV bug. Second video freezes at the start every time on my Sony Bravia. Sincerely hope you find a way to debug and fix on TV, because it's the perfect screensaver for my lounge room. I would pay for this app.
Not sure why others are complaining about long load times. I have the nVdia shield TV and a 60 Mbps internet connection and the videos load almost instantly. I did like the previous version that had the caching option. Would allow some videos to play even while my internet was down for maintenance. Maybe a future option can be added to allow caching for people that want to use it regardless of the space consumed (I have a 4TB external drive connected to mine so space usage for me was not an issue.) Update for version 1.2 the cache option is nice but unfortunately does not work properly. It ends up looping a very short clip once in a while instead of moving forward to next video. Reduced to 3 stars because of this issue. Will update back to 5 stars once this gets fixed.
I recently downloaded app to my new Sony XBR-75x900E TV. Sony techs told me at first he couldn't find the Aerial Dream app, so I went online and downloaded it from my home computer to TV. Sony techs tell me there is not enough RAM memory for this to work and that is apparent when I hit "Start now!" It takes forever to load and, when it does, it is still, stuck on the one picture and no motion. I have COX 100MB service with WiFi in the center of a 2400 sf home. This should work, but doesn't. My next foray is to purchase Apple TV and set it up with my TV. If that doesn't do it, I'll return it immediately and forget trying to make this work. I love the application on my friend's Sony TV and he says he installed Apple TV.
Great app with beautiful videos but absolutely needs an option to download videos only over Wifi! This app burned through over 5GB in one morning! Have to uninstall until this option is added..
After the most recent update and turning the cache on, this now works half the time. I've updated my rating to a 3. I'll update this to a 5 if it starts working all the time.
Always crashing when trying to play the second video. It shows the first frame of the second video and overlaps the location name on the old one... Can this be fixed? ????
Oftentimes the video won't load, so you have to force quit the app then re-start it. And, as others have mentioned, the app freezes on the first shot of the second screen (EVERY time, by the way), so even if you do get the visualizer up and running, it only lasts 3-5 minutes before you have to force quit the app and re-start. Device: Sony Bravia running 6.0.1
Freezes at the start of the second video on my Sony Bravia.
Problem, video stutters a lot on Nvidia shield, please try to fix this
Now it doesnt work on android tv 6.0((
I love this app! I would love it even more of we could download our own favorite short videos and you use them as an option.
A me non funziona. Non carica niente. Servirebbe magari una schermata di impostazioni o di download dei video.
Very pretty, very simple. Would like an option to toggle downloads for wifi/cellular. Would also love a Chromecast version.
Amazing to watch. Can this android version have the pop up emojis??
Love the app. Though the ability to change the cache location would be a fantastic addition.
Fantastic app for my Sony Bravia TV.
Brilliant
Its amazing!
This worked great for a week and is gorgeous while it works... but now on our android TV it just loads a bunch really fast (maybe 1 a second, sometimes faster) and either freezes or crashes the entire TV. Please fix it!
Beautiful if it works. Often get an error null, which is annoying.
This is a tremendous app that works brilliantly and the streams are gorgeous.
Works great on my nVidia Shield. Good work dev.
Hi all, Whilst it is great that this app provides us with the Apple TV experience, I have reservations with the fact that the cache size for this app is in excess of 5gb. If there was any way the developer could compress the videos if they are to be stored locally, it would be a better experience. Alternatively, can we have the option not to cache the videos? Regards
Fantastic for my Nexus Player. I recommend getting this in the TV app store, it'll be a hit... but I understand you wanna stay under the radar :)
sorry to see local cache removed but I see your point why. consider making an option for people that have locally saved video files to be used instead of streaming. love your app though, works and looks amazing on Shield TV.
Brilliant!
I loved it, it's the first time I've cared about daydreaming this makes it worth it. I was using it on my Nexus Player (Android TV) and it was great. However, the cache takes more than 2GB and had to uninstall it because of that. I'd love to see a new version of Aerial with compressed videos, or even better the ability to choose the any videos in particular.
Works great on my Shield TV. Takes a few times for all the videos to get cached but after that it's super smooth and loads up instantly. Only thing I would request is an option to turn off the "Loading Aerial" text as it would be much more sleek without it, as most screen savers don't usually have such indicators. (I understand that this prompt is useful at the beginning as videos can take time to load and users would otherwise be confused by the blank screen, but once videos are saved into cache it would be preferable to have an option to switch this off.)
It's having some issues on the Xiaomi Mi Box. Previewing the daydream doesn't seem to work. When it kicks off due to idle, it appears to work for the first clip, but then freezes when switching to the next clip. Worked fine on the Nvidia Shield.

But nice try though. You should add an option upon starting the app for the first time to download all the videos to the device so we don't have to stare at that black screen ever again.
I've always hated Daydream, but this makes it amazing. I know it takes awhile to load, but I know the performance/cache will her better. Great job.
Omg, thank you!! The Nvidia Shield Android TV is awesome, but their Daydream feature is awful, you can choose two options: boring and more boring. Can you please make more Daydream videos?
A great start, but it has some way to go yet. Runs horribly on my 2015 Sony TV, but pretty smooth on Nvidia Shield TV.
Takes a while to load... If its a buffer issue then show something in place of the loading screen... Maybe a local file that is quick to load?
I understand a load time of 30 secs, 40 secs, even 60 secs... But i just wanted for over 3 minutes and it didn't load. This was above my threshold... Uninstalled! The graphics were good though. Thus giving two stars.
Can you maybe give us the option to stream or cache the videos? As I would rather stream then save all those videos, my Android TV only has 8 gigabytes of space.
Using this on a Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 8" and the video isn't filling the entire screen. It's letterboxed 21:9. Would be nice if it had the option to "fill" the screen, even with cropping. Thanks dev!
Looks awesome. Please let it be searchable via the Android TV Play Store!

I love when this app works. Is android 6.0 compatible with this app? Sometimes it blows me away but mostly it won't load, doesn't move and often times the city name has one name on top of another. Thanks for this app though!
