MapsOn: Offline Map

where is map file compatibility? i was using old version with cached map file for long after paying for ad-free. last week , updated the software to latest, and found that map file used by old version does not work at all. dissapointed

would be nice looking up streetnames too

For long time use track, which had recorded for follow track or back track, need function impord/export track from/to SD card

Was awesome navigating around New Zealand on bike. I could pre-cache at wifi points and avoid data roaming charges.

Really good, simple app. Cached maps worked great for me on recent trip to Japan.

Getting there, needs more work to show the user what has been downloaded.

A must when you are traveling or going info areas without coverage.

This map only shows one tower, and that one is in the wrong location. don't waste your time..

Works well on galaxy s3 and Sony Xperia Z1 compact, but no menus appears on galaxy tab pro, maybe because of too high display resolution. Other disadvantages: there are no way points, and the list of map servers is short. Advantage: works with Google maps.

Great app. No hesitation in donating. Can now map in areas with no coverage.

Although I prefer Maverick to actually interact with downloaded maps, I use MapsOn to download map tiles, because it has this marvelous "Cache area" feature. This feature can even be configured in the preferences to use the folders for Maverick, thus fixing a shortcoming of Maverick. The "Magnify map x2" is another great feature that makes street names readable again on HD displays. I would just like it if it were more quickly accessible (it's a bit hidden in Menu > More > Magnify map x2).

No search functionality, caching is painfully slow. I have no idea how people find this useful.

I tried to download a map of my area last night and it is only half done this morning.I have up to 30 meg download speed. Like some of unhappy people, my download is tremendously slow or stopping a lot. One map with some of 1000 queues are same after hours of waiting. I have tried to download with level 10 to 17. But any levels are same slow speed. I wonder what makes difference between happy users and me. I downloaded a free version first, then downloaded paid one. Now I have both of them. Do I need to uninstall free version to be fully functional? Please help me! I paid and I need to save maps soon.

I had used the free version of this app for several months and finally decided to pay for the plus version. It was a good decision. Keep up the great work.

I own a HTC ChaCha and it can download the maps as advertised. Unfortunately it doesn't show my current location, despite the fact that other application can access that service. As I nice addition, it would be great to allow the user to draw a rectangle to specify the area which he wants to download. The application should remember the user's last selection. Even thought I realise how hard it would be, searching for locations (at least for major ones) would be an incredible improvement.

Will upgrade to 5 star rating if the application shows my location and an icon pointing towards the direction I am heading. Good application.

Didn't work on my galaxy s2! After caching it wouldn't load into my normal maps, just kept using data

but hasn't been updated for more than a year. doesn't support 1280x720/1280x800 screen resolution.

Excellent and versatile app. Fills the gap between Google maps (on line only) and Sygic (great off line navigation but no map detail) as it simply gives a fantastic set of off line maps. Brilliant. Strongly recommend. SG2

I use this for my bike rides with my routes overlayed. Works great for when I need to make sure im still on route, take short cuts, or add some distance.

Cache your maps for using in offline mode when traveling, so useful. Would be great if you could provide some country or city packs...
