Planetoid: Solar Planet Orrery for Android
Whenever I went to stop on a date it.closed out the whole app. Plus the dates go by way to freaking fast. Also, it doesn't zoom in on the planets or anything they all look like little specs
Would be better if it can show the position of satellites
... you're in the mood to ponder the insignificance of humankind in general and certain programmers in particular.
It's quite invisible to see outer planet like uranus and neptune because the distance between planet are exact same to real scale and also doesn't have navigator to watch planet path more closely
Can add realtime settings.
Interesting and informative. 5/5
It does what it says on the tin, and looks like everything's to scale, but that makes it too hard to see planets when you zoom out. They just become pixels. I'd like to see a not to scale map that shows you clearly where the planets are in their orbits.
Good app

This app looks/feels like someone's first programming project. What's there is a good start, but it's not very useful. Pinch-zoom doesn't work in big enough increments to be useful, and the controls for advancing/rewinding time aren't very workable. None of the planets are labeled, and if you tap on one of them nothing happens. And there's no option to show outlines of the planetary orbits so it's hard to visualize the plane of the solar system.
It sucks goes way to fast cant stop it can barely see the planets do not get
Poor design needs to slow down planets need.labeled. hard to see on a galaxy note huge screen. Show real time. Label planets show orbits. Could be good but as it stands now it stinks.
Looks like some project a school kid made the night before it was due to be handed-in The video sucks. Get a screen recording app instead of pointing a video camera at a tablet. The focus is soft and the camera's auto iris can't expose properly, which will also keep throwing the focus out. Bypass the drawing board and head straight to the bin.
Could be good but scale is too large for Galaxy S3. When zoom out to look at gas giants the inner planets disappear. If option included to alter scale will re install.
Very useful when teaching students about relative planet positions and why eclipses occur. Has been updated to work with Ice Cream Sandwich (including 4.0.4). Now has the ability to freeze the animation on today's positions to study them in detail. Great app!
Too simple .. it moves too fast.
Too simple
Planet
It just shows dates so fast. When you try to hit stop on a date.and if you miss it you can't go back. Waste of space deleting
Asus transformer prime. It doesn't open and crashes at start up.
Seriously, this app is hot.
Will not run on ice cream sandwich
Great app, very interesting!
Awesome app to see positions of planets over time. Helps understand when and why we can see planets in the night sky. Unique astronomy tool!
Great!
It's awesome
Cool for about 2 minutes. Fun to guess which is which, names? Let it run OMG we all gonna die the planets all fling out into space! Someone hold me.
The model is very nice but needs more precise time controls and the planet's need to be larger. Right now you cannot precisely control the speed and the planet's are just too small to see when you zoom out to Jupiter. Fixing these it will be a great app. Would defonitely use.
Very bad acurate
Love it Interesting and informative. 5/5
