About Screen Burn-in Tool

Does your Android screen have evidence of screen burn-in? Use this app to remove burn-in from your device's AMOLED or other display.

A sequence of primary colors is used to restore burned-out pixels. Built originally for ICS and now KitKat, the sequence will run fullscreen so that the Navigation Bar is hidden.

(for LG G5) Only used it for a few days off and on, but I'm noticing a big improvement. I've had my G5 for half a year now and this is only becoming a noticeable problem recently. Light bleed is a thing but I ignore it, screen burn in I can't as it's prominent on almost all my screens. This definitely has made an improvement. Note: I didn't let it sit for hours like it said, I still used my phone, but when I didn't need it I put it on.

A combination of poorly-designed Tasker settings caused my Note 2 screen to remain on forever when plugged in - and some pretty bad burn-in spots from bright lockscreen widgets. This tool didn't fix the problems but I think did help them a bit. I run it periodically on my newer phone to prevent the issues. It would be nice to have it integrated with Daydream to run automatically, and/or settings to have it run on a schedule.

I left my phone on while charging overnight and woke up to find my lock screen never turned off. It was a pretty bad burn, as in I could still see it at the lowest brightness setting. So, I used this app for 9 hours and it fixed the problem completely, which I am very happy about. However, does this program potentially increase your chances of getting another burn? Because I've noticed that I've gotten a few more after using it even if the app was only open for half an hour or so. Thoughts?

Woke to find my OPO's screen had come on overnight & my Evernote to-do list had burnt into my LCD. I could see it whenever a blue or gray background filled the frame. I was pissed. Tried this app & it did the trick! Took about an hour for 80% of the burn-in to go away, but then let it run overnight & I no longer see my Evernote ghosting behind Facebook. Thanks, guys!

Fell asleep with my phone on and woke up to find the alarm screen burned into my display figured I'd gibe this a try before admitting defeat and shelling out for a new display. 8 hours later and this app has saved my phone. Can't recommend it enough.

Samsung Galaxy s6 edge plus- didn't work for me. Tried it 2 times and ran it over 8 hrs. It did nothing and unfortunately there is still an image burned on my screen. Maybe better with other phones but didn't work for mine.

I've ran it two nights in a row now, I can't really tell if there is a difference or not, at first I was thinking so, but after the second night, it's still clearly visible. Granted, I got a Facebook message 2 hours in while I was asleep, and that caused it to pause on green, where it remained, with the icon for 6 hours. Definitely recommend turning off WiFi and data while it's running.

I fell asleep with a youtube video on my phone, LG V10, and when I woke up I had a slight image burn. I only used this for about two hours and I can't even tell there was ever a burn! This app does exactly what it says!

Had a slight screen burn from my texting app because I left it open with the brightness too high (This is an LG G5) Let it run for about 4 hours and it cleared it up completely. Keeping it installed in case it happens again. Only issues is trying to close the app doesn't always work. I'd also recommend adding a suggested brightness in the instructions.

I noticed the icons at the top of my LG G5 had burned in, and so I ran this for an hour. It completely fixed the problem, even though it suggests eight hours minimum. The app itself is well done: clear instructions, buttons that are obvious what they do, no obnoxious ads, etc. I highly recommend it.

I accidentally left my screen on for a while so it got burn in/ghost image. I gave this a try before going to sleep and sure enough it worked. (Just set your brightness all the way up for better results)

I have an LG G5 and I've had the send bar of my messenger burnt onto my screen. I tried this app with little hope of it successfully removing it. I left it going for an hour and to my surprise, the image was gone. I love it. All i can say is that it worked!!!

Recently my phone started having horizontal white lines all over the screen, I asked support what to do and everyone told me that i need to replace my screen. This was my last hope, it worked brilliantly thank you so much :D

My Nexus 5 screen had become horribly faded all of a sudden and had shadows at the top and bottom and yellow discolouration at the sides - used this for 9 hours over night and now phone is like new! Saved me a lot of Monday XD

I had passed out watching a video on YouTube. Woke up six hours later to my alarm AND burned in rectangles of options for other videos on my home screen. I was doubtful, but saw the other reviews on LG phomes, so left this on and checked after 3 hours and bam, back to normal. Thx

Guess what? it do nothing with my j5. I literally leave my phone for like two weeks and nothing to do with my burn screen PS: all the five star and "life saver" review here were from the dev itself create a ton of fake google account

I accidently left my screen on all night and had the image of the option/task menu burnt into my phone screen. Searched what to do to fix it and this app came up. Left it on all day while I was at work and by the end day, it was fixed! Recommending to my family with the same phone! :)

After dropping my phone in water , I started to see shadow of icons on my phone, I tried everything from hard reset to changing my battery, but this seems to have fixed it, I wasn't even aware of such a thing. Thank you so much whoever developed this app.

My store display note 5 and galaxy s6 edge had terrible burn in. Installed app and let run for 16hrs. This app may help with very minimal burn in, but didn't help here. Was worth a shot!

I had a small burn on the edges of the screen from playing a game but I figured if I could fix it with this I would. WELL IT DIDNT WORK. This just made my screen worse. The burn from the game is gone but now the entire screen is darker and there's a burn from the nav bar which I didnt have before.

I had very prominent, distracting burn-in of my Facebook messenger overlaying everything (name, picture, settings, my entire keyboard, home buttons) I used this for around 20 minutes and I see no burn in except for two letters from my keyboard. I will run this longer to see if the last of it goes too. Thanks, Dev!

I would rate over 9000 stars if I could. I was using Snapchat and the person I was talking with the Snapchat message page burned into my lg v10's quad-HD screen and I did exactly what this app said but I turned my brightness all the way up and it fixed my screen as I was sleeping.

The burn in was gone after I ran it for abt 30 minutes but it slowly comes back again. I ran it again and burn in is gone. Do I have to run this every day or is it going to fix it? Good app!

V70%

Will not fix burn-in on AMOLED screens. In fact, will reduce overall lifespan & make existing burn-in worse. Wish I would have done more research first.

After using my keyboard on my phone, I noticed that there was an afterglow or shadow. This app removed that shadow within a few hours. I don't even have an amoled device, as I have an LG V10, but their LCD is very similar to amoled. I will be regularly running it now.

My two month old S3 mini has started to develop ghosting, upon much research it seems it is an inherent flaw of AMOLED screens and while no two screens are alike, the problem is common. After carefully following the instructions for using it, the end result is that now the ghosting is even more noticeable across a variety of colors. Total crap, avoid it at all costs.

This screen has less than 100 hours on it but was ghosting my Stumble Upon bar and Youtube side bar. It was very noticeable on an all grey screen. I ran this for less than a minute then checked and it was gone. Now that I know this display burns easy I'll just run this a bit each day. That and keep the brightness down on nonmoving imagery. Thanks for the tool!

I'm a truck driver and the screen on my phone had a lot of burn-in from a gps app. This program has the screen almost cleared up in only four hours of running. It is very impressive.

Used it on my HTC m8. The best tip is while your using the tool make sure your phone is set to full brightness. Took like 45min to clear the burn.

I stupidly put my tablet down without making sure it was off. For some reason it was stuck on all night in the morning the screen had the image burnt in ran this for 30 mins and all fixed

From what i have read, it works by uniformly accelerating, natural amoled pixel decay, to create display screen pixel colour uniformity. Not good for 'Active-Matrix-Organic-Light-Emitting-Diodes' screens longevity.

I left my galaxy tab 3 on for hours with the keyboard showing and it burned in to where I could see a ghost keyboard all the time. I seriously ran this for less than 30 minutes and I swear it's gone!
