Nexus 6 Double Tap to Wake for Android
It's works that's for sure. Though some times 5 to 6 knocks are required. I think installing Device Control and activating its knock feature improves the accuracy. Or may be just my assumption.
Worked for the most part however, after marshmallow it stopped. I emailed Dev and haven't received any support on fixing this problem.
Just change the description as triple tap wake up :) . Great feature, thanks! Is there a way to implement a lock event with tapping on nexus 6?
Great app, happy to donate. Would like an option to tap to ambient display (might not be physically possible). Thanks for the reply Sean!
For those that complain it doesn't work all the time, remember it only allows tap to wake to work. Not working isn't a result of this app.
Been looking for this functionality just didn't know I needed an app to get it. Definitely worth the 99 cents
It is not reliable. I do not want to tap 6, 7, 8 times for it to work.
Great app, until it broke. Only work sometimes, which requires multiple taps. Please fix, otherwise, great app!
I miss my Lumia 1520. Windows has this feature for over 6 months. Why android took it out was lame. Nexus 9 has the feature. Perhaps they should take some pointers like the glance feature. Thanks for making this app Sean!
This app needs Android M support; it does not launch correctly.
Granted Superuser permission and the app read that the device didn't appear to be rooted
I rooted my phone just for this app and it was worth it. Love the convenience of being able to double tap to wake. Would love to see some additional settings in future releases.
Does what is says but no so efficient. Smtimes have to double tap multiple times to wake up. Pls fix this.
Triple tapping always works 100% of the time, its way cool. Double tapping only works occasionally seems like a wild card... But I still love this app. :)
Now it tells me my device is not rooted. But it is.
Will see how it goes after 5.1 update, still unreliable.
I never have a chance to see if it works since my device is not rooted and I didn't know my phone needs to be rooted in order to use it. Should have put (root) in the app title so people don't need to read description to find out. Requested for a refund but have not gotten any feedback
The first few test were good. Double tap woke my device just as it should from manually locking to letting the screen timeout. UPDATE several days later. App barely performs. I have to tap the screen upwards of 8 times for it to register. If I could get a refund I would. I'm on Stock Android 5.1 rooted.

Screen stays on after using, it won't go back to sleep without pushing the hardware button. Requires a certain kind of touch input with more skin contact, doesn't seem to use any motion based hardware, that's why people are having trouble getting it to respond.
If I had to not pick, I would add a settings menu with things like knock sensitivity, knocking pattern, on/off toggle, etc. Otherwise, great job.
It worked before, I'll give 5 stars when it's fixed. Nexus 6 rooted stock Rom 6.0
Working great! Sometimes have to tap an extra time, but that's no biggy. Thanks! Stock N6 rooted

Good app, but no longer working on the Nexus 6 after I installed Marshmallow.
I read it says it will stick after reboot, but after a reboot it was deactivated.
I love the way works but does not work all the time
I could have found a way to do this via xda or Google, but it works, and I didn't have to spend an hour figuring it out. Well worth a buck, thanks deveolper
Only gripe is its a bit sensitive. When wearing scrubs or thin material, it often turns my screen on and messes around with settings or dialing or texts people. There needs to be a setting for this with triple tap and tap speed.
Works most of the time. I'd say 4 out of 5 times. Pretty solid for a buck. ✌
Worked fine until 5.1, now it disables the proximity sensor when enabled.
Says it doesn't have SU permissions when it clearly is granted SU permissions.
When I run this app it only shows a white screen and then hangs. A moment later standard Android warning pops up "Nexus 6 Double Tap to Wake" isn't responding. I am running this on Note 5 with Lollipop.
I donated solely because this is available elsewhere and it is open source. To the developer: thanks for doing that.
Bout downloaded and enabled flawlessly faster than I can write this review. Worth the buck

The first few test were good. Double tap woke my device just as it should from manually locking to letting the screen timeout. My next test will be letting my phone sleep overnight and checking in the morning. Will update review at that time. Update: unfortunately my Nexus did not wake using double tap after a night of sleep. I'm running stock Lollipop 5.1 rooted. Therefore I cannot give the app 5 stars. Though it works on a daily basis, after a deep sleep, however, it does not.
Not 100 percent reliable and still 5 stars. I love it.
Excellent app. Missed this feature. Thanks for bringing it back and making it open source!
