Codeanywhere (IDE, HTML, SSH, FTP, Code Editor) for Android
Add more code completion for more languages like C#
A great app made even better with the new release with Emmet support!
You can't really use it without the service. You can't open local files at all. And to connect to a cloud storage account, you have to use the web interface, which doesn't work well on mobile. The interface was too small to even use. I'd have to set it up from a computer before I can even use the app. If you're already a CodeAnywhere user, this would be nice, but if you're looking for just an IDE for your phone, this isn't it.
Amazing. All the problems I found have been fixed in version 6.1(apart from it keeps telling me I've updated when I launch it, but that's no big deal). Definitely recommended.
My preferred "coding anywhere" solution at the moment is Chrome Remote Desktop. I can access the entire coding and testing environment using reliable desktop applications. Re your app • That white punctuation bar takes up a lot of real estate. Give us the option to hide it permanently. It has a stupid bug anyway. Selecting an open parenthesis after typing a function name overwrites the name. Or typing results in <>. Something to do with predictive text on the virtual keyboard. I can't believe you haven't picked up on this yet, even though I pointed it out to you in version 6.0. You don't get many reviews, so you should be able to read all of them. Also when editing a new line of code why does my virtual keyboard think I would want to start with a capital letter? Code. It's in myVeins(). Is it in Yours()?
Absolutely love it! I stumbled upon this app by existent. But really love to UI/UX
Not work on my zenfone 4 lollipop
very useful, I like it.
Like
Even with SSH
Time wasting
I appreciate this app so much. I'm parked in front of a PC all day at work. When I'm not in the office I just hate busting out the PC when my beloved iPad and iPhone are right there. If I need to do something for work when not at work I use Codeanywhere exclusively. Combined with a Bluetooth keyboard, I like it in some ways better than any PC editor. The fact that I can get to just about any network destination to modifies files is SO handy.
I'm just a computer science major student. I don't always have my laptop with me cuz it's so heavy, inconvenient. This app offer me a chance to do my programming assignment on my phone, and not to mention its brilliant design functions. Great work.
That can be coding anywhere by a phone or tablet, it's kinda cool and convenient. But there running my website will unable to open web browser when I close my first one.
Learning to Code on the go is a regular thing for me as I don't always have an opportunity to crack open my laptop; nor is is appropriate in social situations. This app allows me to code anytime and anywhere. It's also nifty when I'm reading a coding book and want to try something with phone in one hand and book in the other.
I like a text editor that has syntax highlighting, code completion, and an easy to understand UI, but this app gives you more than that. Because I'm in school and constantly on the go, it's really great that it syncs my files to all my devices. I don't have to go somewhere to download my files; on each device, I can just pick up where I left off. It's also cool that I can get a preview of what my code will look like rendered. I think my favorite part is the tabbing. I can go from one file to another easily on all my devices; it doesn't get all weird or complicated once it scales down to my iPhone.
If you are most comfortable writing HTML/CSS/jscript on your own, this is the app to have. You can edit the files, view your changes, all before uploading to your server.
I see posts on the Internet going back 7 years ago with folks asking for the ability to link a Markdown file to either an internal or external CSS file for preview purposes, and 7 years later this still isn't implemented. The ability to export to PDF, with that CSS attached, would be an even bigger bonus.
"It took a while to figure it out but I got it. Working on quick edits from drop box works also. I'm new to coding but it's pretty great so far."
Wanted to start off saying that this app is a fantastic idea and I have huge hopes for it as it continues to be developed on! However, I've ran into some annoying issues: - Editor can't keep up! Don't know if it's an input issue or sync issue, but I'll be in the middle of writing a function and the cruser will jump in the middle of the word in currently typing ultimately causing me to backtrack and rewrite what I was working on - SSO does not remember me. As someone who uses randomized pass, it's extremely annoying having to log back in every day. Other than that, great app. Keep it up!
Can't really say if its good or Nog because i can't open it how much do i need to wait for that loading circle to pass is it a bug or I'm not waiting enough takes too long i hope it gets fixed my Phone is Huawei Y5 if that will help
I had both the original iPad and iPhone versions of Codeanywhere when I was working on code for a project. I upgraded to this version as soon as it came out.
Interface awful, hard to interact with keyboard and scroll around screen, think we just have the webpage i on a mobile
"I recently started building websites again after taking a few years off. While I was able to pickup with the tool I used in the past on the desktop, I didn't have any go to tools for my iPhone and iPad. I found this editor after searching online. After using it for a few weeks I must say I am really impressed. This app has earned a spot on my devices home page."
I've been using Codeanywhere as recreational coding tool to write algorithms. I have used in my iPhone, my iPad and my MacBook. It works pretty well. I love the iCloud integration that allows me to work on the same files in all my devices. The editor is beautiful and I use similar themes to the ones I'm used to in my desktop editor like SublimeText and IntelliJ. The edition keyboard is awesome.
I use this almost daily on both my iPhone and iPad for when I'm working away from my desktop and it is perfect. It does everything I could need, plus some.
Best code editor on iOS...... Hands. Down. All of the special character keys are just above the normal keyboard making it convenient to code on the go when you don't have access to a Bluetooth keyboard. I also like that I can access files stored just about anywhere: iCloud, Dropbox, Google Drive, etc.
Totally recommended.
Downloaded the app and it worked exactly as expected, in less than a minute I was updating pages on my website from an iPhone! Loved the iPad interface as well.
This is one handy app to have on board. I can do so many things quickly that I used to have to fire up the laptop to do.
"It is a decent app. It does what I need it to do and it is cheap. Definitely room for improvement but I have no regrets with the purchase. iPad 4th generation on iOS 10."
It even displays the content of the console log - wonderful for JavaScript debugging!
To me great work as I added head, styles, and it worked I liked it, its first day.
I was surprised at all of the features this app has straight away without paying a dime
it's always been one of my favorites. Great defaults all around. Easy customization.
Front-end developer here, this app is by far the best code editor available on iOS.
You can't beat it. Provides everything you need.
I love this app, use it daily and would recommend it to programmers of all skill levels.
I love this code editor. It's perfect. I wish they would make a desktop version for Windows.

Just using this app almost 1 week. No problem since that. Very simple, yet practical.
