Tea Cup - Timer

Pros: Simple and effective interface. The ability to preset timers for different teas and label them, and also add notes on the temperature. Cons: Unwieldy timer input. No way to change notification loudness or switch to vibrate only. Notification sometimes doesn't show or sound. Notification doesn't ring unless the app is active in the foreground.

Update: no longer well with Nougat, crashes constantly, all teas are now under the same type/name when selected safe for the time and alarm very disturbing at work. Sometimes goes off 2-3 mins after the actual time due. Unfortunately unreliable and unpredictable now. The app is great for recording many types of teas and customise them too to your own taste and the counter is great. However, the app lacks the vibration mode as a notification mode, does not ring when app not active (screen off) so you may steep your tea longer than needed unless you watch the screen for the entire time and rings despite the silent mode on so it disturbs my colleagues at work. Room for improvement to become perfect...

I love to use this app whenever I make tea. It's nice and easy to use. Offers a lot of types of teas to choose from. Includes brewing time and temperature depending on type.

It keeps crashing everytime I open it to use it

I'm giving it four stars because the notification is way too silent. Otherwise, it's really good. I use it frequently to make tea.

I like it but sometimes it doesn't chime when the time is up. I agree with someone's suggestion of a tea kettle whistle sound.

Really love using this app, just wish I could use my own tone for the timer.

An excellent app for the tea addict. Informative and educational.

The app doesn't have or has a very well hidden vibrate only mode. So, every time I brew tea at the office, the entire workplace is alerted when my tea has finished steeping. This is highly disruptive and makes the app virtually useless. Use a basic timer instead.

Compared to the others, it's a lot better. UI is nice. But there is a problem when you're out of the app and then it doesn't notify you. I would love to costumize the backround and alarm.

This would be a 5-star app if there was a place to add notes for each tea and if there was a way for the timer to sound without having to adjust the sound for the entire device.

Beautiful but can be improved by making the alarm more noticeable. More important: I'm looking for a tea app that also include notes about health effects of teas and infusions and is searchable on these effects.

It counts down time, saves presets of temperatures and durations, and has a notification sound that doesn't make me fall out of my chair.

Nice design and a wide selection of teas. As others have mentioned, what is really missing is a notification when the tea is ready. It would also be nice to have a reference for the amounts of tea leaves to use.

One of the most used apps. I have never had a problem and now I can make the perfect cup of any tea at the touch of a button.

Kind of fun how it keeps.track of how much tea you have. I like the different timers for different teas. Love loose leaf tea. Want to steep it correctly

This app looks great and has some nice features, but it has a fatal flaw in that there doesn't seem to be any way to turn on a sound or vibration alert when the time is up, meaning you have to keep an eye on the timer while your tea steeps - no good for a multitasker! EDIT: it will play an alarm as the app isn't active. I'd still like to see a more comprehensive general app settings area, though.

The app is excelent so far, I love it. The display of the temperature is very nice. But I'm not giving a full 5 stars because the current notification is too weak and easy to miss: it would be best if it rang multiple times and vibrate as well. Steepster does this; I think they use the system's notification - which in my case is set to audio and vibrations.

Exactly what I was looking for, and more! This app is beautiful, easy to use, and interesting. The little bar at the bottom that shows you how many times you've prepared tea this week, is a very nice touch. 15 out of 10.

Tea timed to perfection, what's not to love, essential for the connoisseur and beginner alike.

I love how I can see how many cups I've consumed, it is super interesting to see how much/little I consume daily. I wish it had an option for iced tea, that way I can calculate two bags at once on the counter.

I really like this app for timing my tea, I like that it keeps going after my phone has gone to sleep and that I can create custom timers.
