Surfstitch Surf Check

Bought this app to watch live feed of the local surf break as stated in the app description , went to watch live feed and it asked to sign up at $1.50 a week to veiw , this is after paying $3 for the app? There is no content that cant just be veiwed on free web browsing which is quicker anyway once bookmarked on a phone. Cant see what $3 buys me here ? Should be free .

This app is fantastic. Tons of info. Works perfectly on Samsung S5. I use it just to take a look in the middle of the work day. Keeps the stoke going. Nice work Coastalwatch and thanks to your new sponsor, Surfstitch

Edit: Can't seem to open it on wifi. Mobile data it's fine... ----- Worked great for a week - and now I can't open the app at all on my Samsung S7 :( Suggests it can't be opened and to try later... I 'm over trying with no success...

EDIT: As commented, they fixed the issue quickly without a hitch. Cheers! Somehow the name and icon change have resulted in the app crashing upon opening. Rookie error, lads

You pay for app and are promised streaming to find out you have to pay a monthly subscription on top! Ridiculous.

U can't stream without paying 1.50 per week. App is wasted

Please update, with at least half the features of the iPhone app. Pretty useless otherwise for the same price.

Ap says need to verify licensing despite reinstalling. I have paid for a 2 year subscription.

I have both an iPhone and an Android phone why can I stream and watch live cams for free on the iPhone? I have to pay $3 for this app? Don't tell me I have to pay to watch the live stream because I don't I just have to watch a short 10 second advert then I can watch full HD live stream on my iPhone. What a crock of sh1t

Love this app and use it all the time but now app isnt working and says cannot verify license WTF cmon guys.

I have already purchased this app. Now when I open it, it closes and tells me the app license is not verified and needs to be purchased. It is annoying enough to pay for the app. Let alone not have it working.

I now can't use this app. It continually crashes saying I need to check the app lisencing. Not good enough see as though this was a $5 app. Sort it out!

This app does not give out relevant locations, Where is San Diego CA?

I paid,installed, and it didn't work.it's showing this message: "we couldn't verify the app lincense.please purchase it from play store." And I did it and still not working. I'm trying everything, it's said I spend my money for nothing.

* I have always used this app for years as it has everything i need to check out my local breaks but since buying a android phone ive paid for the app which is fine if i only have to pay once. This unfortunately didn't happen as after 3mths it wont let me in to use, now im left to pay for it again. Such a great app but to have to pay twice is just not fair!!!

Can no longer open. No idea why good app when working but not paying again for info available for free elsewhere. Shame as it was convenient.

Gets stuck on the opening screen on my Galaxy S4. Kind of wasted $3 now... :/

You give us short amounts of free streamed footage on your website and on the iOS version of the app but you have chosen to charge android users. Unfair and descriminatory. Dont give me the usual robotic response of "stills updating every 5 mins" or "streaming available for 99c", stills are not video and 99c is for a week and only the first 8wks at that. 1.50 /wk after that equates to about $74 p/yr! Equality is what is required here. Addition post update: well done. Android version now matches iOS. Yay!

Disappointed that you can't see the whole image in fullscreen

Always drops out after opening 2 or more cameras. Tried updating and still does it. Not just my phone either.. have seen it on several.. both android and iphone. Please fix it...

I had a horrible review of this app prior to updating to the new version props to developers for listening great job

You fixed it! Now I can see the surf cam replays and opens on the favourite page like the IOS version.

Always reliable

After a much needed update, this is a great app, just like the iOS version. I was initially really disappointed by the lack of video cams on the paid for version of the Android app and the fact it didn't open on the favourites page. These we two elements that the iOS version of the app had, but now these are added, the function is hugely improved. Thanks to the developers for finally listening and adding these functions.

This app isn't worth paying for, u can Google Swellnet and get better info on conditions. This app will give u conditions from beaches 300kms away and ALWAYS overestimates the wave size.

Great app if you are apple ios. Bought the android version and reading reviews you clearly offer sub standard version for android. Why not offer the same video feed as apple? Mobile means mobile not mobile $. Please do not discriminate between ios and android.

Pretty average..nothing i can't look at for free on my personal computer or via the net on my phone before I go for a surf. So what's the $2.99 for? Could someone explain?. I was under the assumption that paying for a app gave you full access. But not with this one. you have to pay extra for live cams..rough I think and not the best to navigate either.

I paid for the app and for a subscription, how about letting the camera do a full cycle up and down the beach before it times out back to the report page???

It wants me 2 purchase again I'm not happy & i won't pay 4 a app twice beat it hurley
