Why bother installing this? Nexus 7 2B16 here (2013), up-to-date OS. Simply confirming that it's as bad as many reviewers said. In all, since I got my first Nexus 7 (1B32), I've probably looked at ratings for quite roughly 1,200 apps, and have /never/ seen so many one-star ratings in proportion. Based on a one-year complimentary sub. a few years back, TNY was a superb and incredibly literate magazine, often with /no/ typos or misspellings in most articles. This app is quite disgracefully amateurish. FIX IT!

This app is great on my iPhone. It is completely different on my tablet. I uninstalled it after only ten minutes because it was nothing at all like the phone app. Too bad too bc I really wanted to see the cartoons in a larger format.

Tried to use what looks like it might be a Calendar View of events... but I'm guessing that's what it would be because it crashes the app. I'm in NY and wondering what I want to do tomorrow. This app can't show things by date, it just crashes.

App is ok for NYCers to know what's going on in town, but here's a newsflash: not all of your subscribers live in, or even near, NYC! I've looked for a whole-mag app, but can't find one. If one exists, please tell me! I have to access it by an email link, or actually google it. Why can't we get an app for that? People rely on smartphones these days (I haven't opened my PC in over a year), that's why nearly everything has one. Why not The New Yorker?
