WPXI - Channel 11 News

Okay app, the nice thing is that it doesn't play an ad before EVERY video like most news apps. Unfortunately there are major buffering issues. Also, the lack of Chromecast support is pretty sad in 2017. Update: WPXI needs a LOT more restraint in what it considers breaking news. Notifications come in every 10-15 minutes, even with just "breaking news" selected. It's unbelievable, and makes the notifications utterly useless.

If it ever loaded correctly, I would be shocked. Constantly freezes, stops responding OFTEN. I'm on a brand new tablet with high speed internet. No other apps are doing this!

I can not access any videos. All I get is a blue spinning circle showing it's loading. So I exit the app & go to the website. No problem there. Kind of makes the app pointless.

WOULD NOT RECOMMEND AS IT CRASHES FREQUENTLY! WHY???? HOW HARD CAN IT BE TO MAKE IT WORK??????

not sure how everyone has a crashing or slow loading issue, mine works fine. no problems at all, awesome, love it. could possibly be an internet issue for most which will crash or slowly load, but I honestly love that i get all that i can out of this. very satisfied.

I wish this app simply worked. This app is hot garbage. I updated recently, the app worked for one day and stopped working again. Terrible experience with this WPXI app.

Just deleted it. I was trying to see how to enter a cancellation and Amazon took over the screen. The only way out was to shut the app down. When I tried to go back in, Amazon was still there. So no more app and I will absolutely NEVER deal with Amazon.

The app keeps crashing. Also, when you've read about 2 or 3 articles, it crashes and freezes your phone up. Loading the videos takes too long as well. It would get 5 stars from me once you've fixed these bugs, and also have an option to save a news story that people can "favorite" it so they can go back later if they'd like. You keep updating the app, but there hasn't been a fix for the senseless crashing, etc. Once you do, you'll get 5 stars.

Slow at loading, crashes and when your trying to see a video they will show an advertisement to get money and when its time for the video it doesn't work

WPXI is the Best Television News app in Pittsburgh. KDKA and WTAE do not come close.

Please fix the app! I loved this app for getting daily news, and now it won't stay open for longer than a few seconds. Horribly frustrating :-(

When the app works, it's great. Unfortunately, very common for force close/sudden failures. Becoming frustrated with the failure rate.

UI is nice is about all I can say. Been using the app for news for the last few years. App has crashed each and every time I have used it. Finally coming to my senses and deleting.

I used to love this app but lately i cant open it. Everytime i do it has to force close and wont reopen. If it does happen to open, as soon as you start reading an article it just shuts down on you.

This app is great, when it works.Very frequently it freezes and then just shuts off while I'm using it...very frustrating.????

Keeps crashing. Used to work great now it opens then immediately shuts down.

The app keeps stopping. I can't read any of the news. I tried restarting my phone. Uninstalled the app then reinstalled it. But still keeps stopping.

Constantly freezes and crashes. I'll have to use the WTAE app instead.

For the past few days everytime I open the app it crashes or force closes and I am unable to read a single article. Way too many ads, previous version was 10 times better, this newly updated version is pointless and has less information, also all pages are blocked by ads preventing the total view of articles!!!

Getting really frustrated with this APP lately, when getting notifications for a story, it would be nice when you click on that story for the APP to take you to that actually story...but even more so lately for you to even HAVE the story on the APP at ALL. I mean really sure let me tell you the President is on and click here but when I open the APP nothing and find nothing about it. This APP is really starting to suck major @ss! Not to mention battery draining. =(

Needs to be able to give zero stars. Crashes repeatedly 2 second can't even scroll to the bottom of the page. So sad it was just fine days ago.

This app crashes consistently. I have uninstalled and reinstalled twice, and it still crashes within 2-3 seconds. NOT HAPPY at all!
