Pixel Media Renderer is "UPNP/DLNA" compatible Digital Media Renderer on Android Platform (SmartPhone, Tablet, STB/TV & Android Player). It renders digital media contents, such as Images (JPEG), Songs (MP3, WAVE, 3GP, etc.), and Videos (AVI, MP4, MKV, FLV, TS etc.) from “UPnP/DLNA” compliant Digital Media Server (DMS) using Digital Media Controller (DMC). Pixel Media Render (PixelDMR) enables android devices to act as SmartTV!
Pixel Media Renderer (Pixel DMR) can be discovered from home network using Digital Media Controller (DMC). User can play back digital media contents (Image, Songs & Video) which are shared on DMS using DMC at Pixel Media Renderer.

Not supporting wav, not possible to play lossless formats even with transcoding to wav. To be more exact reports lpcm capabilities instead of wav. Those are pretty much same formats. But this makes player to think this renderer cannot play wav.

I was looking for a media render for my old android phone, so I can hook it up to my Sony HiFi and add wireless music playback capability. App is light in size and android 2.3 compatible. Added a real value to both my HiFi and Phone. Thanks for the developers. Update: App doesn't report playback status back to server. Was real trouble when playing a playlist through BubbleUpnp. Hence reduced to 4 stars.

I dont know why people say it dont work, may be they dont know about the DMR technology. I want to say, it works very well with Pixel Media Controller and MediaHouse apps which are acting as media controller for me. I have installed this app to my tablet and android mini tv box which are runing on android os 4.1. App perfectly playing media content from my DMS and able to control from DMC.

App starts up but you can't click the icons. The only this that does work is the menu and the exit. Using HTC vivid with ice 4.0.4. Installed mx player. Can't do anything.

I installed my android player and my HTC. Both device working fine. Now I do not need remote to control my player. Looking great, hope we will see more feature. Perfect DMR. Good job.

It solved my purchasing another media player. Nor my existing android work as dlna media player which support all media format. Just install MX player with this and make your android device as dlna player. Guys no need to purchase any more device.
