Wifi Switcher for Android
Will you be creating one for IOS? I emailed you and did not get a response so I thought this would be my next best option! I will change this to 5 stars once you respond. Thanks,
Running on a Samsung S7, this app has trouble switching by itself. It only seems to switch wifi when I long press the wifi option on the phone. Wont do it by itself. Please fix this for 5 star review.
Couldn't find a better way to contact you, but, although the app is great, why on earth does it require location to be enabled!? Please sort this out and get the app to work with a reasonable set of permissions!
I'll give it 5 stars when there is the option to only connect to networks I want it to connect with, and reject those I don't want to use. For example, in the UK here there are lots of home users with BT as their internet provider. Sadly, BT have set their Routers to provide anyone access to that Router if they also have an account with BT. But, if you don't, and you have an account with a better provider such as Virgin then my device will still try to connect to the BT signal, which won't allow internet access. At the moment my only option is to turn off WiFi and just use 4G when out and about... unless you can include in this app the option to reject signals, or only allow the ones I've accepted.
Works perfectly, just what I was looking for. I have 3 routers in a cascade in my home, broadcasting the same SSID on 3 different channels. By default, android was never switching between the channels even if the signal became very poor. Using this app with the threshold at - 60db it works perfectly, switching automatically and fast as I walk around the house. I also want to point out that the negative reviewers seem to be mostly from people who don't understand how this is supposed to work. First off, the developers have stated that the location access is only necessary in marshmallow or higher because scanning for wifi networks is considered a location finding service. If you do not want the app due to this., that is fine, but it is not a good reason to rate the app poorly when the developers are completely up-front about it. Aside from that, the app works by letting you set a threshold signal strength at which it will look for wifi networks with a stronger signal. This works perfectly so far in my experience. I don't feel I've used the app enough to know its impact on battery life, but I will update this review if I run into any issues.
Just keeps switching APs. Have multiple APs with the same SSID all selected as preferred. Just keeps jumping between two that have amazing signals. Would like a refund but I'm like 20 minute late for the 2hr refund period. Would be cool if this company would honor the refund.
The app does what it's supposed to do. The only thing that is a negative is that you have to have location turned on for it to function properly. Not sure if this is due to Marshmallow but possible
Doesn't reconnect or switch to the better wifi. I bought the full version and I let it run in the background and still doesn't switch. Can I please have my money back!
The free version asks if you want to switch everytime you expect a network change. If I can click on the app I can also manually switch the WiFi. Retarded implementation in the free version.
On free version: the app can't change router when I am getting a better signal from my other router. Tried 10 times. 0 stars
Installed this on my Android phone (and Tablet) running Marshmallow 6.01. Does a good job at finding the strongest wifi signal in my house. Just disconnect Wifi and restart it and the app will connect to your best Access Point. It's a good app.
Doesnt do anything useful other than fill your notification bar with options unless you pay for the pro version
Did not work with my s7. Even when the signal from AP1 dropped very low, it would not switch to AP2 that had full signal.
Seems OK and interface was pretty easy. Please include a widget as to see immediately which WiFi that I am currently connected to. Please keep me in the loop.
I bought the paid version and it won't work on my Samasung S7 edge . It's show all the available access points but will not switch automatically .
Make it paid already, free version is almost useless, waste of time
Bought the pro version. Doesn't work on Galaxy S8
Maybe it works, maybe it doesn't. I did not try as it would not allow to autoswitch in the background.
Does what it says, but I would pay extra to not have the icon in the notification be white. Blends in with the notification if you have it run in the foreground.
I paid for the full version but it doesn't switch automatic. I've tried changing settings. Can you please provide feedback or a refund.
App does not work on S8.
Doesn't work. Brought pro. Still doesn't work. Don't buy its a ripoff
It works but has bugs on Samsung A7 (2016+2017 Model) {only switches if screen is on)
Teasing to buy could also include a 3 day limited autoswitching. I paid and had to trust that it will work :-)
Use wps wpa tester most useful for wifi hacking it only connect wps......
Works well but one of the highest users of my s7 battery
App doesn't switch to another WiFi.. total crApp.
Didn't even detect any wifi signals.
First blush seems good. I'll know more as I use it
Works well. Buy the pro version for the best features.
Does a good job, worth paying for.
Not working
Nice just what I needed!
Battery theif
Nice useful app
Love android BUT if you have several Wi-Fi transmitters around the house or office android quite illogicaly hangs on to a weak signal unless you manually change it via settings wifi etc. This little app is brilliant, for less than a couple of dollars it will automatically change to the strongest signal. Simple, transparent, efficient. Get it!
Emailed developer to give a chance to look into why paid version does not switch over as intended automatically. Got no response. It's not an expensive app. But paid version doesn't so anything for my phone. Please fix or contact me to see if we can fix the problem.
...is an option to toggle the app entry in the notification bar. I could do without it and for now I have to resort to blocking all notifications from the app with android native functionality. What I would also like to see is a more simplified scale when setting the switching threshold maybe resorting to "wifi bars" as you can see them in the status bar or something comparable like choosing from a list of different use cases (VoIP, browsing, download, streaming, email, you get the idea) instead of dBm.
Have an issue, when phone go to sleep or screen turn off, it switch back to weak network. When i wake up screen it then reconnect to stronger network. PS, I have two network as preferred and run in foreground enabled. Please fix this. I have pro version. Thanks

free version worked so I paid for the full version. The problem was that while I was making the purchase the WiFi started to switch and I ended up losing connect while the transaction was happening. so I got charged 2$ but it didn't upgrade me. so I tried clicking it again and it says error you already own this item. HELP! CAN YOU PLEASE SEND ME A REFUND I know this usually doesn't happen and I'm not saying that this app is bad. Updates: coming soon
