About Pedius
Pedius is a mobile app that allows phone calls for the deaf and hard of hearing.
Through our app you can call landline and mobile phones.
Using speech synthesis and voice recognition technologies, after login users can insert a phone number and start a call.
Calling is simple, just write a message or record your voice and start a call.
During phone calls a voice will read what you write and you will be able to read on screen in real time no matter what the other person says. If you prefer to use your own voice, press the voice icon once for the duration of your call.
If the voice transcription is not accurate enough, Pedius automatically shows a few alternatives, and if still not enough, you can easily ask to repeat through the "R" button.
In downloading the updated version, you will receive 20 calling minutes for free! In addition, you will be given the option of purchasing either 100 premium minutes or unlimited calling for a year. For more details on offers, you may also visit our website.

This app has potential, and to have unlimited calling for all year for $30 is reasonable. However, it's currently unusable because the app is really slow and it has a lot of bugs, in addition to their servers being extremely slow. I can't even make one single phone call because of how slow and buggy this app and/or their servers are. Myself, I can hear fine, but I can't talk. Currently I don't have any good options for making phone calls, besides using Sprint's IP app, which is extremely slow and a pretty terrible option. So, I hope they can fix this app and their servers.

I am very frustrated with Pedius. Their site tells lots of information about how "good" their product is, and all the responsibilities of the customer payment. Yet other than 20 minutes per month of free service, it does NOT mention the cost of using the service. Pedius is very quick to have a large "click here to install" without revealing the cost. Also other than the large CLICK HERE TO INSTALL the print is very small. Stating all this when I go back to the site to see if I missed something, Pedius states INSTALLED! I did not install Pedius. Also it states that it was installed onto a cell phone that I do NOT even have! Beware

Has a huge lag time and the speech recognition was way off from what the person talking actually said.

When I am trying the open the app, show me the message error "unexpected error! Please check your internet connection and retry"

Doesn't work. I tried calling my wife on a mobile and then a landline. First few tries, the phone never rang. She said it took ages before she heard the intro message. Whenever she spoke, nothing appeared on my screen. When it finally did, it wasn't correctly transcribed. It was a jumbled garbled mess. Too slow. Unreliable. Expensive. I'll stick with NGT. At least that works 100% and is free (uses my inclusive minutes). I wouldn't even give this app one star! Mega fail!

Looks like previous version was better recieved ..not a reliable source of communication an unfair claim to be an assistive app. Doesn't work ..end of.

Finally, I can makes call to any services and people if I need them and thank you for created this application!

I called a customer support line, first question they asked was press 1 if I want to speak to a certain department. There's no way to "press 1" in the app. I pressed one and the number one was obviously just spoken by an automated voice on their end which does not work. They hung up on me.
