MGRS GPS allows you to see your MGRS location on the map of your smart phones and tablets. You can store those locations as waypoints. In addition, you can share the waypoint with your friends through NFC, Bluetooth, Google+, Email, Messaging and more. Waypoints can be shared as plain text or a Google KML file.
A waypoint can be created using the device's current location or the user can enter the grid reference manually through the "create waypoint" dialog. In addition, the app now is able to create a new waypoint when the user long press on the GPS map.
The app comes with an App Widget that provides you the latest location reading received by the MGRS GPS app.The widget can be displayed on the home screen as well as the lock screen (lock screen widget requires Android version 4.2 and above).

Downloaded this app while out in the field as a member of the U.S. Army and it was amazing to let my leaders know my location on a constant basis. I would and have already recommended this app to several soldiers who have used it with the same effect that I have. Great job guys!!

The concept is great (integrate Google maps and mgrs) and has a demand for sure. It needs to add long press at any point on the map to get the ten digit mgrs grid for there. At the moment it only presents the grid for your current location or your waypoints

This app is exactly what everyone in the military/who is involved in orienteering could ask for: a simple interface, the ability to save way-points, and best of all, a MGRS widget. Highly recommended--and at an exceptional price. Looking forward to updates!

It gives me my location. But it doesnt let me save waypoints. I have the V10.
