ClearLock: block distractions!

Amazing, it helps me with my revision as i use quizlet and with this app, it helps me not to use youtube or my games. It help me to focus. A few things you should add is able to add breaks so for example is after 30 minutes you could have 10 minutes break to check social media or play some games etc, Another thing is once the time is up you should add a alarm to tells us it over. So i know that i could add more time or have a break. Overall this is a amazing app and would recommend to people who wants to revise but for people who gets bored easily. (I make it 5 stars if you add the features i suggested).

I upgraded to Pro so that I could schedule lock sessions. I added a scheduled lock session for later in the day but it started the session right away. After I restarted my phone it did the same thing, started the scheduled lock session even though it was not within the session time I specified. Pretty frustrating. I will have to find a different app. *edit* Now it is blocking apps even though I deleted the scheduled session and do not have a lock session active. Uninstalling.

I tried the other popular app like this one called Quality Time, and it was glitchy and made it really hard to use the parts of my phone I actually wanted access to. Clear Lock hasn't been glitchy for me at all and does exactly what I want in blocking tempting apps like YouTube and Instagram while my phone still works perfectly on all other levels and features. This app's seriously made me so much more productive. I'd recommend it to anyone.

Works well, but it does automatically select some apps (Skype, messaging) so be aware that you may not have 100% control over every app that shuts down. Also allows for notifications during lock out, which would be nice to be able to turn off. For now I'm using it in tandem with another blocking app (that one is too easy to unlock but it silences notifications) for the level of "quiet" I need.

the apps that I blocked still work completely well when I use them by pop-up view. My device is Galaxy Tab A, SM-T580. Plus, the lock still can be bypassed by pulling down the notification panel as another user has mentioned before. This app should completely prevent the blocked apps from opening. And it would be great if it limits my wifi connection while locking. Thanks, and please fix those errors as soon as possible.

I have adhd, so I get distracted easily. This app blocks apps that I want to block. It just works. I wish that it closed apps faster. HOWEVER, it can be bypassed by pulling down the notification shade immediately after clicking on the app. Please fix this. Otherwise I'm surprised this doesn't have more downloads. Great job!

As many users have said — automatic schedule doesn't really work. When I open the app it says that "It is time to focus", but all the apps that are supposed to be locked are available to open. If I lock manually it works fine, but damn, if you're charging money for the feature — maybe it should be tested better?

Don't know if this is possible, but blocking messenger apps goes from convenient to tortuous as soon as i see a notification and I can't reply to it. I'll go as far as distracting myself, thinking about how I'll reply juuuust as soon as I get the messenger back. Maybe I should have more self control, but for an app trying to kill distractions, going this extra mile would sell me on pro version (even if scheduling doesn't work yet)

Need something. Very easy to use. I really need need this app because of my clash of clans game i have a habit to do attract so I try to control myself but it's not work so I found this app. BUT THERE IS A PROBLEM we can block a app for max 12 hours I need in days make a opinion for 5 days pls do a update fast. Don't spend money on this! Although the normal locking function is great, don't pay extra for the schedule. I have been trying for weeks to get it work properly. It always locks at random times, or fails to lock. Out of 30+ attempts I have never been able to get the scheduler to work.

Like others I'm finding the scheduler doesn't always work right (I haven't tried the widget). That's really too bad since I was using it to block all but basic/critical apps for the 2nd half of every hour, to keep me from wasting too much time on my phone. At least it's very easy to use, and has a clean simple interface.

Excellent app, but it isn't picking up some of my installed apps and therefore automatically blocks them (Skype is one). It's also locking Android Pay even though it picks it up in my app list and it isn't checked. Hope to see this fixed soon!

I'm still being bothered but if you have more then one launcher and haven't set a default one, it can be gotten rid of temporarily. Just tap on the background of the app notice, hope it is taken care of in the next update.

Love the free version but like many others have said the paid version isn't working as it should. An hour after my scheduled time is up and it still says I have another hour to go. It was cheap so I didn't read the warnings first but I definitely should have.

Productivity is higher than ever, I love the app. Recommend to any Procrastinator that has no self-control whatsoever. This put my life back on track, Love It!

Uh I don't know whether it's my phone or the app but it shuts down my Chrome even when it wasn't ticked in the list of apps to lock. Also, Clash of Clans and a lot of other apps can still be accessed even though I had checked them to be locked.

I downloaded this app in order to enable the "Disable Distracting Apps" feature in the ClearFocus app (which is excellent). The app seems to work well but I can't use it to disable incoming phone calls or Skype messages, which are a major source of distraction.

I liked the simplicity of this app... just put my time in and be blocked out of my chosen apps. But the app did not block me off of anything. I was still able to access all of the apps that I had chosen to block.

Randomly stopped working on my phone- clearlock would show up as active but the apps themselves were fully accessible. Did its job great until then.

Was really happy about finding an app an being able to schedule my "focus" time. But stupidly I did not read any of the suggestions about the app and bought it right away. Really disappointed. DO NOT UPGRADE.

Just wasted my money on the upgrade to pro version. They need to fix this bug. The normal locking works fine but the scheduled lock doesn't work that well.

Works okay, but I think the app would be better if it also blocjedt the entire notification and LED light. I still get distracted by the light even if vibrate/sound is off.

Occasionally, when my phone is supposed to unlock, it stays locked for a seemingly arbitrary amount of time. I need the app to be more consistent, and have now turned off scheduled locks.

Do not buy the upgrade. Manual locking works fine except when it decides to force close apps that are NOT on the block list. Scheduling doesn't work at all. App hasn't been updated in two years, developers don't respond to emails.

Upgraded to pro. Schedule locks don't work. What a bunch of bs. Plz fix the app. Then, don't create a new version ever again!! It's clear you don't have a proper dev team and your ideas suck. So just fix the damn app and leave it alone.

This app's timer was extremely inaccurate. Like, up to two and a half hours off inaccurate when I set the timer for eight hours. Totally defeats the purpose.

I love this app but when I purchased the pro version I still couldn't set the schedule or have a widget. The free version works just not the paid one.

App is good but I am not able to use the app in appo f1+.. as the app permission requirement is not fulfilled and not located at driven place of settings... Pls help.

It could be really great to be able to activate and deactivate the app with a button, just like aeroplane mode. Sometimes one cannot know how much time available he'll have for focusing, or when he'll have to stop.

I really like the app. The only thing that could be better would be a more flexible setting for the duration of the blocking. For example: You can set the duration to 10 or 12 hours, but not to 11.

I blocked everything and it still let's me through. I even blocked the play store and I am currently writing this review while it is supposedly "blocked"

As a student I find this app absolutely efficient and facile for anyone who struggles to keep up with their work.

Basic version is pretty good. The pro feature widget is not functioning well. I am unable to set the time when starting from widget, it seems to use a different setting than starting from within app. And it is reentrant, i.e. after a while, the widget can be pushed again, and I could have two ClearClock timers running at the same time, which is nonsense.

Been struggling with serious procrastination, and this app has saved me, coz I can still access files for revision, but not worry that I'll get distracted. THANK YOU and AMEN! ✌

it's good. Just that it would be better if we can decide the duration in hour and minute (instead of just hours). Really want to set my timer for 25 minutes (collaborate with Clearfocus 25 minutes). If you add this feature into this app, then I will donate (buy the pro version) as a sign of my support to you guys. Keep it up ClearApps! :)

I really wanna a alarm so that i do not have to always make one. I want it to be automatically lick at a certain time just kinda like an alarm clock

Would be great if there were more time options, also longer than 12hours, maybe even a 'until I restart the device' option?

This has been the only app that has worked on my phone. Now I can finally study !!

I dislike that while you are able to select a start time, the end time can only be set by choosing a duration, which is rounded up to the nearest hour once you hit 4 hours. What happens if a user wants to block something for 4h 15min? This reduces the app's usability and creates extra hassle for the user.

It lets the app widgets run. I tried blocking the music app and it didn't allow me to access the app when I tapped the icon but it can't block me from using the music widget which is kinda the same thing.
